My husband has only been in St Catherines for 6 months, but I cannot try to tell you about the care he is given. The staff cannot do enough to help my husband, he is lovely and clean, well dressed every day. My husband is incontinent and day and night and he is changed, kept dry as soon as noticed. The staff are also concerned about how I am as they know how difficult if is for me. The food is excellent and amenities in bedrooms are fine. All at St Christine's are excellent and I would not hesitate in recommending it to anyone.

My mum has been at St Catherines Care Home for the past ten years. On the whole, she is well cared for. If I have had any issues I know I can talk to staff about it. Mum gets her hair done every week and enjoys her music which the staff are aware about. Sometimes she gets depressed but the staff put her music on or play musical bingo which usually cheers her up.

Generally satisfied with overall care for my mother. Standard of home is good, decor and rooms are clean and well maintained. Staff are hard working and we feel there is a caring ethos towards residents although sometimes staffing numbers appear to be under pressure.

I always find the staff to be highly competent, friendly and caring. Many seem to go the extra mile to ensure residents and guests are provided with the very best care and attention. It is not pleasant to have to visit a relative in a care home, but the staff here attempt to make the experience a pleasant one. I have nothing but admiration for the work they do.

My Dad was in St Catherines from July 2015 until April 2017 when he sadly passed away, as a paraplegic he needed care and St Catherines was the Nursing home we chose and we were so glad we did. The care that was given to dad was fantastic and the staff helped us get through the difficult time at the end, nothing was too much trouble for them they looked after dad as if it was their own father. I can honestly say from the bottom of my heart they are truly Angels. I would recommend St Catherines to everyone that wanted their loved ones to be treated as the way they should be with people that are passionate about their jobs and the care they give

My mum went into St Catherines on 3rd June, so she has only been there for a couple of days. I like what I have seen up to now but would like to do another review in 6 months, when I see how the home looks after my mum.

Over the last 3 years my mother-in-law, who suffers from Dementia, has been looked after with loving care and dignity at St Catherine's. What is a heartbreaking situation seeing your loved one ravaged by this disease, has been made bearable, knowing that she is so well looked after by professional staff. Her needs are carefully assessed and catered for, by compassionate staff, who always do their utmost to ensure that she is comfortable, pain free, and as happy as she can be.

I would have no hesitation in recommending St Catherines to anyone who is in a similar situation with a family member. Thank you to everyone, front-line and behind the scenes for doing a wonderful job.

My mother is now in the final stage of Alzheimer's disease. She is 4 st. has cancer, her skin is breaking down, yet the staff in the care home look after her carefully and well. She has been there for 4 years, after periods in hospital and falls at home. She is now 96 years of age. I live in North Wales and could not care for her, but we all try to take care of her.
We have seen the steady decline in her which is dreadful, but I know that staff have done their utmost to care for her. The meals look good, the standards high and the staff are friendly.

There are only two nursing homes in this area of Greater Manchester and I know Horwich very well. Alzheimer's and the deterioration which my mother has suffered has been handled efficiently and the local doctor handles medical matters and medicines adequately. So far we have been satisfied at each stage of her steady deterioration over 4 years that she has received the best care possible in the circumstances.

I was very satisfied with care given to my late husband. I found all the staff very caring and very patient with all his needs. For the short stay he was in he was very contented and happy. The staff were also very friendly with the persons family. We were always welcomed with a smile and made to feel at home.

The team at this home are brilliant and always provide outstanding support whether this be to resident, relative or own staff member. The morale throughout is great. I attended an Easter bingo night and all the staff were constantly smiling and enthusiastic throughout. I would highly recommend this home to anyone I know as I am assured my relative is in the best care possible.

My mother has now lived at St Catherines for five years. She began with residential care nut is now fully nursing. The advantage of this is that the staff knew her well before she deteriorated and they have continued to treat her with dignity and respect and as an individual. The staff are sometimes stretched but the ethos is of kindness and support to all residents and a sense of teamwork. The communication is good.

My sister said she is happy here. I feel the staff treat me with dignity and respect. I've been joining in with the activities, been playing cards. I enjoy the meals here, I don't eat a big portion and I get offered plenty of drinks. I like my bedroom and its kept clean. I love the fact when she was in her bedroom different staff kept coming in to check she was okay and I love that. I know she is being cared for properly.

This is one of the nicest care homes I've been in within the Bolton District. The staff are very cheery and do seem quite happy in their work. This attitude to their vocation can only be beneficial to the homes residents. The home is extremely clean well looked after and it's obvious the pride people have to be part of this establishment.
