The team at Bright Meadows Care Home provide residential, nursing convalescent, palliative and respite care for up to 120 residents.

All bedrooms are en suite, maintaining and promoting dignity for residents and allowing as much independence as possible. There is also a spacious dining area where residents can enjoy freshly prepared meals, a café to encourage socialisation between residents and their loved ones, and a music room where residents can enjoy listening to their favourite tracks. Outside the home there is a courtyard with established greenery and places to sit outside and enjoy the fresh air.

The home also has a specialist dementia unit, ensuring residents living with dementia receive the care and attention they need in a part of the home that has been carefully designed for safety, comfort and to help retain skills.

    There are no restrictions or booking requirements to visit Bright Meadows Care Home; however different rules apply should there be a Covid-19 outbreak, and they ask to not visit during ‘protected mealtimes’ unless is a part of the essential caregiver role.

Feel Mum is well looked after.

Mum has been in care for over five years now, under two administrations. Generally speaking, the level of care has remained constantly satisfactory. The turnover of staff is a concern as it always has been with, inevitably, a mix of very good to only average levels of competence and empathy. I realise
this is the picture nationally in the care sector.
One thing that is a major concern to me is Mum's general comfort. I find she feels cold sometimes when I visit, especially her feet, legs and arms. I have bought many pairs of socks and slippers and throws over the years but Mum is frequently found without one or the other which is frustrating. I label most items.
It is frustrating for me to think of Mum being cold and upsetting knowing Mum is unable to communicate with staff.

Absolutely disgusting, bad care, extremely bad management, rude no compassion. The home wants shutting down. They say care home, they don't know the meaning of it. Ignored medical needs, not qualified to care basic.

My husband has been in Bright Meadows Care Home for two years and the care he receives is excellent. The staff are caring and treat him with respect. It is a safe and happy place to be. Any questions I have are answered truthfully and if anything needs to be changed, it is done quickly and efficiently.

My father in law came to stay in Four Seasons Care Home in April 2022. The staff are absolutely amazing, they are passionate about the residents. Every time I ring whoever answers knows who I am talking about and give a clear concise account of how he is. I have seen the staff interact with him and

I find that the care home is very good and sees to my husband's needs adequately. The staff are polite and very helpful indeed. If I have any queries, members of staff answer them thoughtfully and with care. Nothing is too much trouble for them. My husband has settled and is well cared for - with excellent

As always, the staff welcome you to the home with smiles and updates on the home and my husband. If I request anything in relation to my husband, the staff will give me the information straight away, or they will get the data within 24 hours of my request. The staff members have been extremely supportive and caring and patient with my Dad especially as he is increasingly suffering from dementia. I think communication could be improved i.e using email and group texts to keep up to do with developments during COVID. (This would save the staff time in having
to answer phone calls). Greater provision of evening visits would be welcomed as it's difficult to arrange when working.

We acknowledge how difficult this last year has been for all the families of the people who live within the home. Communication is so important and we take on board the suggestion to use alternative methods of communication. The home is currently reviewing the most effective way to do this. Whilst we appreciate the comments about evening visit times we are unable to operate them any later than the current times that are offered. These are Monday to Sunday with appointment times starting at 10 am and running until 7 pm each evening. All visits are planned individually to the needs of the person living in the service. We request if you have any concerns relating to visiting that you contact the Home Manager who will be happy to discuss options with you.

Reaching the stage when the person you have loved and cared for throughout your long lives together and suddenly very quickly you need to find a care home becomes the biggest worry and greatest concern you have ever known.
The day you have to pass your loved one into somebody else's cate is the most
heartbreaking moment you can ever experience as you can imagine, especially with Covid-19.
I am fortunate. The day I was distressed and telephone the Four Seasons Care Home. When I telephone the home, their front door receptionist completely put me at ease and explained in full detail without hesitation all the information I required that could help both me and my loved one in going forward. I felt immediately I had found the right place and the right caring staff even though I had not met them at this time.
"Excellent" is a strong meaning word to place in boxes, but I have found all of this in my opinion to be true and Four Seasons have lived up to all my expectations in caring for my wife.

The team of helpers which I have come to know are very helpful and assist in helping us to achieve what we want to do i.e. information etc.
