When we were first shown around, the downstairs area appeared pleasant, with what looked like a proper dining area. However, after my mother had a two-week trial, our family quickly became concerned that the home was not meeting her needs.
One of the biggest issues was staffing. The care staff were often very kind and caring, and I genuinely believe many of them wanted to do their best. However, they appeared severely understaffed. There were occasions when there was only one care worker and one senior who was looking after the residents. The lift was out of use for several months. We also had several safeguarding concerns that the family had to raise. There was also one particular senior member of staff who was rude.
Thank you for taking the time to complete a review and for highlighting the concerns you and your mother experienced during her stay. We are very sorry that your mother's experience at Pendleton Court did not meet your expectations and fell short of the standards of care and service we strive to...
staff led activities to stimulate the mind
I visited my mum today and a wonderful show had been organised with a crooner singing all the "rat pack" classics. A great time for all the residents, relatives & staff. Thankful.
My visit on 3/7/26 was a pleasant surprise to visit a dear friend, as a nurse who visited several years ago I was pleased to meet engaging, friendly staff. The environment was clean; no smells, but I hope my friend can personalise her room. We joined in the entertainment that Leslie organised which was excellent and the residents were happily joining in. (Even I had a dance). CQC reports cannot measure how the residents feel at this time in their lives and some residents cannot always express themselves. I hope my experience and opinions count and I felt less anxious about my possible future. Well done Pendleton Court.
The carers have been very supportive and hardworking with my relative. Management/Deputy Management have been wonderful and hands on with my relative as well as keeping me updating with any admin etc that they need to complete. They're very understanding, discuss all medication issues (ie swallowing) with you.
It is a very big carehome and it is a bit of a struggle to get hold of anyone via the phone lines and I don't have email addresses for anyone to contact so a lot of my contact is face to face.
Highly recommend this carehome
Overall, a lovely place.
Very clean, nice staff. Well run and thoughtfully run.
When activities are on lots of interest.
Leslie good at her job.
I came to visit my mum on her Birthday and the home was having a party for her with a singer on. Lots of residents joined and got involved with musical instruments. Lovely atmosphere and my mum was very happy. Nice to see that they do things like this.
The staff are kind, patient and helpful. The activities and activity coordinator are fantastic.
The Christmas here was fantastic. The home is very clean, the smell - food is very good. Staff excellent. Activities are very good. The atmopshere good. The gardens are amazing, the gardener is so good. The outings are good. Nursing staff very good, they know their job. Milly, Main, Aretha, Jenny. Lesley is lovely and approachable.
Roy is very happy here now he has settled in.
Entertainment is first class and very enjoyable.
Pendelton court is a great care facility easy to get to as on various travel routes I.E bus routes short walk from met stop & even easier if driving. the facility is clean secure the staff are friendly welcoming professional treat resistants with respect & dignity one of the better if not best care facilities within Salford & Manchester.
when I came to see my cousin at Pendleton Court I was made to feel welcome by all the staff and even though she had a terminal illness she was always in good spirits due to the warm atmosphere of your Care home, so thank you very much for taking care of her and all the other residents of Pendleton Court
My mum is so well looked after here at Pendleton Court, all the staff are amazing and all have my mum's best interests at heart. This is my mum's second Christmas at Pendleton Court, and she is very settled and adjusted well. This is all down to the staff's caring ethos.
Pendleton Court is a welcoming, caring, friendly, family-orientated home. The residents and family members are made to feel that they can approach the staff about anything, the entertainment provided is varied, days out (where applicable), meals out, singers, concerts and exercise programmes. The home and its decor is being updated and looks beautfiul and homely, especially at Christmas time. The food is high-quality.
My grandad has improved so much since being here and gets along with all the staff and residents. He is well looked after and happier.
We have found staff to be helpful, caring and always willing to be on hand for us, as we are on nursing care it helps when leaving knowing she is in good, caring hands.
Having spent the majority of my career reviewing/inspecting care homes, I think it speaks volumes that we chose Pendleton Court for Mum. I know that I don't have to worry about Mum and can leave her safely. Staff not only look after and care for residents but their families as well. Thanks everyone. xx
