I stayed at Woodend for three weeks following an operation. I have nothing but praise for the home. The staff are warm, caring and supportive, and nothing is too much trouble. The team appear happy working together and that makes a massive difference. They seem to know every resident well, all are treated with dignity and respect, and all get individual attention based on needs. I would not hesitate to recommend Woodend.

My wife as been here for 2 weeks and settled in. Her care is excellent and treated with dignity.

First impression staff are always pleasant and polite. The rooms and surroundings are pleasant and clean. The care given to our friend, who has been in the home for a number of months, is being well looked after, and the staff are very attentive. It is good to be able to visit at any time. I would recommend this home if asked. Attentive to dietary needs.

Woodend Care Home are exceptional in every way. Unlike most care homes, Woodend has a lovely informal family atmosphere. All member's of staff go out of their way to do everything they can to make my mum feel welcomed and at home.The nursing staff are incredible very knowledgeable and communiative and attentive to my mums complex health needs. As a family, we cannot thank Woodend enough, and are so happy that our mum is being card for in the very best of care homes. Just exceptional!

I received excellent care and was treated with great courtesy and friendliness by all the staff at all times.

Since my relative was admitted a number of months ago, I have been impressed with the quality of care offered to myself and rest of the family. Nothing is too much trouble for them. They are friendly and appropriately dressed etc. There is transparency in their posters on the Notice Board - Menus, Activities etc. My relative is treated as an individual and staff work hard to ensure she is comfortable. Thank you.

Came here for 3 weeks convalescence after a major operation, very comfortable, very good food and very able staff in all departments. A couple of small problems were resolved very quickly. The stay here has certainly helped my recovery.

The staff are very helpful and caring. I can only comment on the time I spend visiting. Barbara's mood changes but she is generally relaxed so I assume she is well looked after.

Really pleased with the care Mum is receiving. The staff are very attentive, caring and reassuring. She has settled in well over the past few months, and it's a real relief for the family to know she is being cared for so well. Can't think of a better place for Mum to be at this stage in her life. What a wonderful team at Woodend. Everyone is so welcoming and the initial visit was so empathetic. Each stage was dealt with gently and scaffolded with nurture. It's very difficult time for the family and I feel the whole team understands this from cleaners, cooks, carers, nurses and office staff. l dare not name anyone for special recommendation for fear of leaving anyone out. An opportunity to say thank you for caring for our dad it feels like home.

The staff and management have made a very stressful time a whole lot easier to deal with. The home is clean and welcoming. The staff seem happy and friendly in their work. The rooms are comfortable. There are lovely communal areas within the home, also a good garden area. Seems to be a strong teamwork ethic running through the home. I am sure mum is safe in this home.

My mother is clearly loved and cared for by the staff. I am pleased with her care.

My wife became a resident when we could no longer care for her safely at home because of her memory and cognitive loss. I am delighted with the care and attention she is now receiving here. All her requirements are dealt with by the staff in a polite and effective manner. This is particularly important at meal times when my wife needs help with eating and drinking. There are always an adequate number of staff to look after her safely. Good leadership is provided by senior staff. Well done!

This is my second experience of visiting a resident. My first was supporting my best friend from June to August 2024, who came in for palliative care and died here. I saw many of the same staff and residents as last year - it was easy to access the building, and there was a friendly atmosphere. Everything is clean and welcoming. There is sometimes quite a lot of noise from some residents, which can be troublesome for those who are trying to rest.

I have found all the staff very kind and attentive.The activities they do in the day are all inclusive and fun to do.The food on offer caters for all residents and nothing is too much trouble if you fancy something different.

Mums care is second to none. She has settled in well, her main carers are very nice ladies and give her lots of attention depending who is on reception. The welcome with a hello and smiles would not go amiss ( not everybody).
