Belong Wigan

My mum has become increasingly vulnerable, and at times, a challenge to manage, but the staff at Belong are exceptional; their empathy and understanding are remarkable. We are so lucky to have these angels looking after our mum. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for all you do.

Clean and tidy to a high standard. Staff are very welcoming and are very compassionate to their residents. Bedrooms and living areas are of a high standard. Belong give us peace of mind that my mother is being well cared for.

A beautiful calm place to be. All the staff are welcoming and professional. My dad is a resident of Accasia House and the staff are outstanding. They have a great leader and extremely inspirational to the team. Each team member treats my dad and our family like we are one big family, this is very comforting to us. Dad is loved, clean and cared for with exceptional standards.

The gateway app is extremely comforting for relatives who can't visit at the moment due to Covid.

Cannot rate highly enough all the staff and facilities at Belong Wigan. Knowing that mum cares for happy and settled eases the guilt of not being able to provide the best care at home. Throughout the pandemic, mum has been kept safe and it is a testament to the standards set how the team at Belong have managed the difficult circumstances and increased pressures on their already busy roles. My mum is a resident at Belong and has been for 2 years in January 2021. She was admitted to hospital in December 2019 and came to belong on the 4th of January. Having viewed a few care/ nursing homes before her discharge I am of the opinion that mum could not have gone into any other facility, None matched up to Belong, facilities and staff, ethos etc. I don't think she would have survived had she been elsewhere as she wouldn't have got the one to one staff. Excellent!

I find the staff and management very supportive of residents and relatives on each occasion I visit. They have a very caring attitude with the residents.

We participated in arts and crafts today and it was one of the most rewarding things we have done. The experienced team at Belong Wigan make us feel special and try and cater to our mental state and loneliness especially through Covid. They are a credit to your company.

I find Belong to be an excellent care home. The staff are professional, caring, courteous and friendly. They always seem willing to go the extra mile for the residents. The facilities are second to none and I cannot recommend Belong Village highly enough.

Belong Wigan is very caring, loving and respect residents as though they are like their family. They look after my dad so much that I know I can rest at home knowing he is in safe hands. The food is excellent, the activities are excellent, care/support is excellent this home is 5 star. All the staff are great and caring not just for the residents but for families too. I cannot fault Belong Wigan at all. It is excellent.

Staff cant do enough. Very helpful, kind and very supportive to my daughter and my family. Always polite and very helpful. These have been very challenging times for everyone and Belong have done their very best to support my daughter and my family. What a brilliant team. Thank you everyone.

My father has suffered from dementia for many years and has been at Belong Wigan for seven years now. The facilities and staff are very good. Under the circumstances, my father has the best possible environment and care.

My mother has been a resident for almost 5 years, she has advanced Alzheimer's. During her stay, she has been treated with dignity, care and respect by the staff. A caring professional atmosphere is evident through the village. The staff strive to make life here as homely as possible whilst maintaining high professional standards. All care should be like this.

Belong is a high-quality care home, it is not cheap but you get what you pay for, other care homes we visited seemed lacking compared to Belong there really was no other choice. In particular, we loved the idea of father being in an apartment and mother in a cared for facility and they could still be close. The family love the Bistro where we could all get together and share a meal.

My mum lived in the village for 5 years. At the beginning, in Honeysuckle Apartment and later Willow Household. The care mum received was first class. Mum was loved by all the fabulous carers and staff and always felt happy. We cannot thank you all enough for everything you did as she sadly slipped away. You are true champions and if mum was here she would hug you all. I highly recommend Belong Wigan.

Our mother sadly passed away at the beginning of August and had been a resident on the Willow household since June 2017. The staff treated Mother with great care and dignity at all times and for that we are very grateful. The care home manager and all her staff do a great job in what, at times, must be difficult circumstances and are always willing to listen to any concerns relatives may have. The nursing staff are also very caring as are the ladies in the Bistro. Nothing is 100% perfect in this world but the positives far outweigh any negatives.
