"In my experience, the standard of care at this home was extremely poor. My mum appeared neglected, receiving little meaningful attention or support, and her condition noticeably deteriorated during the short time she was there. What I witnessed left me deeply distressed.
On multiple occasions, I saw
residents - including my mum - left calling out for help, left wet, undressed, or visibly upset for long periods. From what I observed, basic care needs were often ignored.
I also found several staff members to be rude, dismissive, and at times aggressive in their manner. Some appeared more focused on their phones than on the residents they were supposed to be caring for. This behaviour made me question the overall culture and supervision within the home.
Based on my personal experience, I cannot recommend this care home and felt genuinely worried for the safety and wellbeing of those living there.

Based on my own personal observations, I cannot recommend this care home in any way. During my visits, the standard of care appeared to be far below what any resident should ever have to experience. I witnessed carers displaying behaviour that came across as aggressive or dismissive, and on several
occasions staff were sitting on their phones while residents were crying out for help and clearly in need of attention.
I personally saw residents taking off their own clothes without any appropriate support or dignity, which was extremely distressing to witness. On top of that, I heard carers shouting at residents numerous times, creating an atmosphere that felt tense, uncaring, and completely unsuitable for vulnerable people who rely on staff for comfort and safety.
From what I observed, residents did not appear to be receiving the care, respect, or basic assistance that they both need and deserve. Families, including myself, were left to step in and help as carers didn't seem to care.

My experience with Kingswood Manor has been nothing short of traumatic. Watching my grandma deteriorate there has been one of the most painful things I've ever gone through. She was given a medication sheet full of wrong information and incorrect diagnoses, a mistake that could have cost her life. She
fell out of bed multiple times, and every time the fall-mat alarms were ignored. Knowing she lay on the floor for hours with no one coming is something I can't get out of my head. She has lost over 30kg in three months, becoming frighteningly thin, and we found tablets stuck to her teeth because no one even checked on her after giving her medication. Her most recent fall was the worst - she's now in hospital, bedridden with severe injuries that should never have happened. I also saw a staff member raise their hand to strike a resident before noticing I was watching. The thought of what happens when families aren't there terrifies me. I would never recommend Kingswood Manor. 0 star review!

My dad arrived at Kingswood Manor 2 days ago and what an incredible nursing home this is. The manager has been wonderful from the first time I spoke to her. Everyone who works there is exceptional. They really do care for their residents. They are happy, caring, helpful, and very good at their job.
They have made my dad and my family feel very welcome I would recommend this nursing home 100% because they really are fantastic. It feels like a big happy family. The day my dad arrived we had a live singer on all the staff had the residents dancing and singing it was just wonderful the atmosphere was electric we loved it. Even the manager gets up and sings, with a great voice. The bedrooms are a great size and have everything you need in it. You can add all your own furniture and photos to make it feel like home. I really didn't know what to expect from a nursing home but it has blown me away. Thank you to everyone who works there for being so kind to my dad and my family.

My mum has dementia and has been resident at Kingswood Manor for almost two years now. She had to move here very suddenly when her previous care home closed with very little notice. It was the best thing that could have happened. She responded immediately to the gentle and engaging care surrounding
her, all signs of agitation disappeared and she has remained settled and happy ever since. The staff are simply wonderful. I have complete confidence that she is cared for with dignity, kindness, compassion and professionalism. I am always kept informed of any changes and everyone is so responsive and helpful. Nothing is ever too much to ask. Not only do I know that my mum is truly loved and cared for, but I always feel welcome when I visit, like part of an extended family. I cannot thank everyone enough.

My sister-in-law resides here. Any issues regarding the room are dealt with immediately. Her room has been decorated/painted and well-maintained.
Staff are fantastic with her care and needs and anytime I call in they are all caring and update me on her wellbeing.
She is happy here knowing as her
Parkinson's and health deteriorate she is in a very safe and secure environment. From management down a truly exceptional home.

My mother has been at Kingswood Manor for almost 4 years. She has dementia and can be very awkward and tricky to deal with. The staff have been constantly good at caring for her, even having to sing to her to divert her physical behaviour quite often, She is always dressed in the lounge and eats well.
The nursing staff always tell me if there is an issue. She enjoys the weekly entertainment and I believe they manage her very well.

My husband who has Alzheimer's has been in Kingswood Manor for a year. He has been extremely well cared for and is very content. The staff are friendly and I am kept informed about his daily care. I visit him 4-5 days a week and am very happy with the home, the food, staff, cleanliness and activities.
All of my family and friends who have visited my husband have all said how lovely the home is, especially compared to other homes they have visited. I would recommend it to other potential service users.

My mum has been a resident here for a little over a year. She is consistently treated with care, consideration and affection. She enjoys the lovely garden, both to sit in the day. She appreciates having her hair and nails done. She is always offered a choice of meals and if neither appeals or she declines
to eat it once it is in front of her, a snack is offered - sandwich, toast etc. She enjoys the activities, in particular, painting and life story/family history. The staff build up a really lovely, caring and friendly relationship with her.
