Since September I have been bringing a group of 14 and 15-year-old students to visit some of the residents in Kingswood Manor Nursing Home as part of an inter-generational befriending project. We have been impressed by the care offered to residents, especially the activities that are organised for residents. As well as music sessions, games, themed events and outings, the home seeks to provide individuals with activities tailored to their personal needs and interests. When our students were introduced to their older friend, it was clear that each resident’s story and interests were known in detail. Throughout the project, we have been guided with skill and sensitivity by the activities coordinator, who has suggested different approaches and provided resources to support the developing friendships. It has been a privilege for our young people to enter a little into the life of Kingswood Manor Nursing Home and several have said that Wednesday afternoon is the highlight of their week.

This is an accurate view of Kingswood Manor Nursing Home. After looking at several nursing homes in Liverpool, which I may say were filthy and upon meeting the owners, they seemed only interested in money, not patients, I found Kingswood Manor Nursing Home. They are 5 star in my true opinion where all staff are caring and committed to all residents. They have plenty of outings and entertainment, the food is lovely and plenty of snacks throughout the day.

Many thanks for your review of Kingswood Manor. The staff team at the home work very hard to ensure that our resident and families are happy with all services in the home. It is good to know that this hard work has been recognised and will be sure to pass your kind comments on. Kind Regards

As soon as we entered Kingswood Manor Nursing Home, we saw all of the residents smiling and knew this was the care home for our Aunt. The staff are lovely where nothing is too much trouble - we love the idea of the large lounge where staff and residents are laughing and joking together. It has a lovely, homely feel to it. I would recommend Kingswood Manor Nursing Home.

My mum came to this care home for palliative care. We were very nervous as many care homes receive bad press. From the minute we walked in we were put at ease. The room was bright and clean and recently decorated. The staff came up straight away to introduce themselves. My mum felt so secure during these last two weeks of her life. The nurses and carers were warm and professional towards her and genuinely caring. Constantly in her room tending to her, and she maintained her dignity to the end. The staff looked after my brother and I too and even gave us our own room to rest during mums last days. I really cannot fault it in any way whatsoever. It exceeded all expectations on every single level. I can't thank the staff enough.

I was introduced to Kingswood Manor by the Activities Coordinator, with whom I had previously worked elsewhere. I visit once a week and hold sing-along sessions in the lounge. The residents are obviously happy and contented and the staff are pleasant and hard working. The lounge is cheerful and comfortable, providing a friendly and welcoming atmosphere.

My mum was a resident at Kingswood Manor Nursing Home for 4 months following an accident at home. She went from the hospital to the nursing home, as we were told by medical staff she would never walk again so could not go home. Thanks to the hard work and support of staff at Kingswood Manor Nursing Home, she is now home. Everyone at the home is so kind and caring. Nothing is ever too much trouble for them. Without the staff at Kingswood Manor Nursing Home, we would be in a very different situation now. We will be forever grateful to them for their support and would not hesitate to recommend the home for the care needed.

My late and dearly missed dad spent the last two weeks of his life here, he was treated with the utmost respect, always kept clean and tidy, as was his room. I and my family cannot thank the staff enough for treating my dad with the dignity he deserved. Thank you for making the end of his life easier to bear, god bless you all.

I brought my Nan from Manchester to Liverpool at the age of 100. I put her in 'Kingswood Manor Nursing Home' Liverpool, and I could not have asked for more care, love and attention that my Nan received at the home.I would recommend any other family or friends to place their relative into Kingswood Manor Nursing Home.

My mother was at Kingswood Manor from April 19th to 3rd July 2016 when sadly she passed away. She was treated with extreme dignity and loving care the whole time she was there. She was admitted with terminal breast cancer and was bedridden after falling down the stairs at home. The staff who looked after her were faultless and the nurses were exceptional. Every member of staff who came in contact with her whether cleaner or management all acknowledged that she existed and would pass the time of day with her. I can only thank you for her care in the short time she was with you.

Compared to mum's previous care home Kingswood Manor is light, bright and spacious. Well decorated and comfortable. I like that the residents and carers are all in the same lounge which creates a feeling of continuous care. I'm not a fan of chairs around the edge of a room I prefer grouped chair system to try to encourage interaction between residents, a quiet resident could gain much from a more chatty one. Overall since December I have been pleased with the care mum has received. Carers/nurses/management are approachable and friendly and willing to listen when mum isn't eating/drinking well. Would definitely recommend.

My uncle has dementia and other health problems. On entering Kingswood Mount he was agitated, aggressive and hostile to all his care-givers. He was at war with everybody. Over the last 3 months I have watched him gradually calming down to the point where he now seems tranquil at times.

The staff have been excellent. Their approach has been to avoid unnecessary stimulation and avoidance of situations that he finds provoking, and it is definitely working. I like the atmosphere in this home - people are kind, gentle and welcoming to visitors and clients alike. The carers must be well trained and selected because everyone seems to be 'on the same page'. I truly feel that he is being well cared for and is in the best possible place.

My dear mum went to stay there for palliative care, the care my mum received was excellent, the carers showed mum so much care, kept her clean, brushed her hair and treated her with the dignity she deserved. They were so attentive and nothing was too much for them even in their busy days. The cleaners would go in and chat with mum as if they always knew her and the nurses were wonderful and always listened to your concerns. I would recommend Kingswood to anybody who needs a loved one looking after, sadly mum passed away on 29th September 2015.
