Dad was well looked after from day number one. The room could do with an update though. Food was always hot and plentiful. The girls made him smile daily. Clothes always clean and ready for us. Overall we have no complaints regarding dads care, so from us all, we want to say a big thank you.

This home, when I visited it unannounced, is really lovely. No unpleasant smells, nice and fresh food and the kitchen lovely and clean. Staff are brilliant, very caring, friendly and accommodating. Managers are understanding and professional. The lounge is light-filled, very clean, loads of great activities. Bedrooms, homely. Fresh, clean, caring home.

I would just like to thank the staff at Willow Gardens, Bootle, for all their hard work, care and commitment.

The staff have been amazing in looking after my mother. They sacrifice themselves during this pandemic and I for one fully appreciate their dedication.

A very welcoming and professional environment.
All staff are friendly, polite and obviously care about the resident's welfare/wellbeing.
The home is very competently managed.
It is always clean and decor is exceptional.
Similar to many, I’m sure, initially Mum was adamant she did not want to be there.
But from day one she has said repeatedly how wonderful the staff are.
“They’re just great” is what she always says.

Everybody there has played a huge part in her becoming comfortable and more and more used to living there.

My grandfather is a resident is Willow Gardens and I cannot praise the care home highly enough. He's well looked after and the staff are wonderful. It seems to be well run and his room is really comfortable. The company running Willow Gardens seem to be quite big but this doesn't mean the place isn't homely. My grandad is really content there.

Review from Sue D (Sister of Resident) published on 23 August 2018 Submitted via Website
Overall Experience
My sister resided at Willow Gardens, Bootle for more than ten years.

She was very happy there and it was very much her home. She felt safe and loved until the very end, she passed away in January 2018 aged 61.

Carers, nurses and all staff looked after her well. She was blind and so it was important to her to feel safe.

Staff were always kind and the manager was very approachable in every way.

I cannot fault this care home and recommend it highly.

Review from Terence H (Sister of Resident) published on 30 January 2018 Submitted via Website
Overall Experience
Since my last review, there have been big improvements made. The Regional Manager invited me and other relatives to a meeting with her and the Home Manager. All issues were discussed and an agreement made that my sister would be served food in a more caring manner and would be out of bed whenever possible when food was served.
She would also be fed smaller more manageable portions.
She has also been transferred to a better room with more facilities. Personal hygiene matters were also discussed. A suitable Care Plan would be put in place which will involve more scrutiny of her medical conditions.

Monthly meetings have been introduced with relatives of residents to participate. It was agreed that a Fire Certificate would be displayed in a prominent position. I am now satisfied that under the new ownership Willow Gardens and View is now being run in a caring and professional manner. Most of the issues raised in my last review have now been resolved.
