My nan has been a resident since February 2022.
Cambridge Court is an amazing care home - always something going on, whether it be live singers, days out or celebrations. Recently, they celebrated Divali, and all residents and family enjoyed it; the staff are always so welcoming and encouraging residents
to dance.
I couldn't be happier with my nan living here, knowing she is well looked after and happy.
They really do put 110% in looking after our loved ones.
Thank you to everyone in Cambridge Court for all you do.

Mum has been at Cambridge Court since January 2023. We had been maintaining her independence as much as we could up until she wandered and had a bad fall, so we knew it was time for increased care. The home is so friendly and welcoming for visitors, everyone always says hello and is helpful when needed.
Mum has settled ok, she has deteriorated a lot but feel this is due to fall and impact of hospital stay. She definitely isn't as mobile or active as she was but she seems fine with this and always looks well cared for, comfortable and relaxed. Her agitation at home was one of the things which caused us the most distress, but not seen this in home which is lovely. She has some banter with the staff, which is good to see. Thanks everyone at Cambridge Court.

I cannot speak highly enough of Cambridge Court and the amazing team of dedicated staff who genuinely do care for their residents and their families. My mum has been a resident since June 2023. She has been welcomed into the Cambridge Court family and her every need has been taken care of. Everyone
is treated with patience, care, dignity, compassion and kindness by regular long-standing staff who really cannot do enough to help.
The home is kept spotless and well-maintained by a wonderful team. Mum’s room is lovely and the lounge/dining area has such a community feel. Meals are good and a varied menu is served with every need catered for.
There is a fabulous programme of activities and entertainment to stimulate residents and again this is tailored to individual needs and interests. There is certainly a lot of fun and laughter and singing and dancing.
As a family, we feel incredibly lucky to have found such a wonderful place to care for our mum. Thank you.

Mum moved in four weeks ago to this truly fantastic setting. She has now settled in well and is contented in the new surroundings. The care, dedication and friendliness of every single member of staff is tremendous. Each and every one of them is professional, courteous, compassionate and welcoming.
The love of their roles shines through and they genuinely care for the families as well. Mum is safe, well cared for and is joining in with most of the numerous activities on offer. It's a pleasure to see her relaxed, happy and socialising. Thank you all for everything you do.

My dad has been in Cambridge Court for two weeks and is a different person! For the better. He was in a previous home for three weeks and was gradually deteriorating, and it was heartbreaking. When he came to Cambridge Court, the care and devotion of the staff was second to none. The staff are always
smiling and can’t do enough for you. The manager and her team are certainly devoted to their jobs. They have great activities going on - mobile zoo, singers, doing puzzles, always keeping the residents entertained and stimulating those with dementia. My family are so happy that my dad is so settled. Thank you to all the staff - you are angels.

My mum has been in Cambridge Court Care Home since February 2022. I cannot praise the staff enough for the way she is looked after. There is always some sort of entertainment going on, my mum loves trips every month and has started knitting again thanks to the activity coordinator. It's lovely to see
Mum happy and looking well-dressed thanks to the dedicated staff that look after her. The food is amazing, especially the cakes the cook makes. The cleanliness of the home is impeccable thanks to all the cleaning staff. The managers run the home amazingly and are always there to help out and join in with the dancing and activities. I couldn't have let my mum go into a better place.

I can not stress enough how amazing the staff treat all residents, the activities they provide and the entertainment through different ways, including singers, painting, sing-alongs, parties and so on, the interaction and therapeutic intervention is just beyond belief, previous care homes my nan was

As a very small family, I can't express how much we appreciate the high standard of care given by the management and all the staff as we are not able to visit as regular as we would like due to work commitments and life in general. However, we can always contact the management for any updates and we
see my mother-in-law regularly on Facebook always smiling. It makes a huge difference as we know she is happy and settled.
All the residents have a better social life than anyone writing a review. There is always something going on to keep them entertained.
I would not hesitate to recommend Cambridge Court Care Home if you are looking to help a relative in a happy and safe environment.

I really did not want my husband to go into a care home, however, the difference it has made has been more than we ever hoped for.
The manager and her team are welcoming and very supportive and the atmosphere is friendly and homely. My family and I can’t thank the manager and the team enough for the
care they are providing, my husband seems happy and settled and he loves the banter with the staff.
He asks to go back so he obviously feels safe there too.
It is great to see him so happy!

The care home has gone above and beyond for my dad. He is well looked after in more ways than one and I will be forever grateful to everyone for nursing him back to good health. I was unsure of how I felt with him having to go into a home after a hospital stay but I needn’t have worried. The manager
and her team settled him in really well and this also put my mind at ease very quickly. Choosing Cambridge Court Care Home was the best decision I made for him. I know he is safe, cared for and in the best place to support his needs. He was able to attend my wedding, along with a carer, and it was a highlight of the day having him there with us.
The staff are caring towards him and the other residents. It’s great being able to see everything you do daily with the residents and the themed days and parties too. He is socialising more than he ever did and it’s wonderful to see. A massive thank you to you all!

My mum has been at Cambridge Court Care Home for four months. My brothers and I were initially very reluctant to put our mum into residential care because of things you see on TV and similar. However, good news doesn't make for good viewing figures and we have seen for ourselves how well Mum is cared
for and how she is settling in. It is good to be kept updated by regular messages and social media posts.

Mum moved here from another care home in March 2022, the difference the facilities and the staff at Cambridge Court have had on Mum, especially her health, is truly remarkable. The staff from the top to the bottom are remarkable, friendly and nothing is too much trouble for them.

Nanna has been a resident since February, she loves the food and the company. I felt that I failed Nanna when the decision was made to put Nanna in a home but Nanna loves it here, she's made new friends and the staff are lovely and very caring.
The stimulation she gets in the home is so much more than
when she was at home, there's sensory stimulation via music, games, baby chicks and that's to name just a few. Nanna loves getting her hair done by the hairdresser.
I visit Nanna every day and I always see her smiling and happy she likes all the staff, the staff across the board, from management, carers, cooks, cleaners and the handyman, seem to care about each and every resident. I visit at different times of day and at all times my nanna is happy. The guilt is still there but I feel reassured knowing we had chosen the right place for Nana's next chapter in her life.
I also no longer have the worry if she falls or wanders off, that she would be alone.
These few words can't convey my feelings.

We cannot praise the care home and staff enough. My father-in-law has settled in really well and now calls Cambridge Court Care Home his home. He was able to bring his own possessions from his house which made the transition easier. The staff manage his medical needs brilliantly and this really is a
big peace of mind for both of us after such a worrying year before he came to the home. He was well enough to attend our wedding and we can’t thank you enough for getting him to where he is now! Everyone is really friendly when we visit and it is clear to see that the staff know him (and his personality) very well. He speaks highly of the staff and the work that they do, not just for himself but for the other residents in the home as well. The activities keep him active and he is finally participating in and completing things that I had been trying to get him to do for years. It is lovely being able to see the photos of what you all get up to on social media. A big thank you to you all!

My aunty has been a resident for a considerable amount of time and I cannot fault the care and attention she gets from the staff. Her room is immaculate and clean. The staff are very accommodating and nothing is too much hassle. The manager and her staff are a credit to Unity Homes.

It was very reassuring to see how happy and relaxed my friend was in Cambridge Court Care Home and to know he was safe. The staff were friendly and approachable and keen to make sure my friend had everything he needed. He said the food was lovely and was really enjoying all the activities available

I was very impressed with the cleanliness of the home, the staff were lovely and all the residents seemed happy and content. The grounds of the home are very nice and the beach is close for nice walks in the sun.

Cambridge Court Care Home is such a lovely care home! They are caring for my grandad who has dementia, we haven’t been able to visit as much due to Covid-19 but we constantly see pictures and videos of their days, packed with fun activities. It’s such a relief to know my grandad is being cared for by

My name is Alena, I have a Level 7 diploma in strategic management and Level 4 in Leadership and management in health and social care. I became a manager at Cambridge Court in November 2019 and have over 20 years of experience in care. I have a real passion for caring for the elderly and how to make a real difference in their everyday lives. I motivate her team to achieve the best outcomes for all who live at Cambridge Court and involve families and friends in the care as much as possible.
We have been nominated in two categories for National British care awards and also in Dementia care awards. We feel honoured as those nominations came form our families and their recognition of our hard work is the one which matters the most.

Michelle joined the team in 2020 and became a deputy manager in January 2021. She is an excellent support to the home manager and staff, always smiling and positive. Every issue has a solution.
