Overall Experience
My mum was admitted to Westhaven Nursing & Residential Home at the beginning of April.

She arrived following an illness in hospital. All levels of staff have ensured mum's safety, dignity and have encouraged her to achieve her full potential despite being so unwell. The staff have cared for mum but also us as a family. We have been guided along the quagmire of medical and financial issues. I have to return to Australia leaving feeling reassured that mum will be beautifully cared for in life and in death my gratitude is immeasurable.

This is a wonderful place. My mum had a very bad fall and has admitted first to hosptial and then she was transformed to Westhaven care home where the staff and other patients are very nice and friendly.

Overall Experience

My mother's care has been excellent since she moved in. I cannot fault the staff who are kind, considerate, well trained and efficient. Rooms are excellent. Being new and purpose built, the home is not cosy and feels a little sterile but all facilities being on 1 floor with wide corridors activates mobility. Pictures on the wall of the resident's era improve the ambience. Low, plain glass windows allow residents to look out but gives no privacy. This is to be rectified with film on windows. Being a new home, activities have been slow to get started but are now going well. Visitors are welcome at all reasonable times of day with early mornings and mealtimes protected at residents request. Residents and relatives meetings have taken place and views are listened to and acted on where possible.

Overall Experience

I have found the home to be very caring. Since moving into the home in October 2015 my mother's health has improved greatly due to the excellent care by the friendly and motivated staff. The home is very well run and all the staff always go the extra mile.
