My grandad was recently admitted for end-of-life care, the home fought for him during his time there to ensure he was receiving the best quality of life and care. On the evening of his passing the staff couldn't have done enough to help us as a family. Throughout the whole admission they didn't just
look after Grandad they looked after us too! Everything we wanted in a care home for Grandad Westhaven provided and more! All the staff there are angels and words can't express how grateful I am for their care and compassion during what was a very difficult time for us. Thank you, Westhaven for giving us the quality time with Grandad that we so desperately wanted before we said goodnight for a final time.

My sister and myself found the staff, both nursing and cleaners, all excellent in care and support.
Management is very informative.
All staff were 100% caring and supportive throughout the care of our mother.

Mum died peacefully at the beginning of June after a long decline with vascular dementia. She was cared for with kindness and compassion by all the staff who had contact with her. The management team were always on hand and aware of mums condition. Their open-door policy and understanding went a long
way to helping calm our anxiety and distress at witnessing Mum's deterioration. We have no hesitation in recommending Westhaven as a home.

My mother was admitted to Westhaven Nursing & Residential Home during August 2022 after a hospital stay and requiring nursing care. From the first day, it was apparent that the team at Westhaven were caring and efficient. The home is extremely well-led by the matron and her deputy and their caring philosophy
permeates throughout the staff. Their door is actually ‘always open’ should you have any queries.
Mum had stayed at a previous care home but the difference at Westhaven is astounding - staff actually care and conduct their duties in a professional and compassionate manner, showing regard for residents' dignity and privacy. The home smells fresh and clean, clothes are laundered and pressed quickly. In addition, celebrations and events e.g birthdays, Christmas etc. are acknowledged with gifts, banners or cards and this makes the residents feel valued and part of a family.
I would recommend Westhaven and, on behalf of our family, extend thanks to all the staff for caring for our lovely mum.

Our experience of Westhaven has been excellent. The staff are superb, professional but also caring and approachable. This attitude stems from the management, matron and deputy and it percolates throughout the organisation. My dad has been really well cared for, and happy at Westhaven.

I would like to thank everyone for the excellent, compassionate care that was provided for my mum at Westhaven. She was treated with respect and sensitivity by the kind and caring staff. We as a family could not be more thankful for your help and support. We were always made welcome when we came to

My mum is currently in Westhaven Care home after coming out of the hospital with a terminal illness. I was worried about mum going into care and whether she would settle, but I needn't of worried at all. After being recommended Westhaven, I went along to have a look and was welcomed very warmly by the
matron and shown around. My first impressions were very positive, and Mum has been there now for nearly four months; she is very happy there, the staff go above and beyond, there is always something going on in the lounge for all the residents, and the staff encourages everyone to join in.
Everyone seems approachable and friendly, and above all, they all really care for their residents; they keep us up to date with everything regarding Mum, and she has formed really good bonds with them all.
Food is great, there is always a choice of meals, and Mum's appetite has increased so much since she's been there.
I cannot recommend Westhaven enough.

The manager and all the staff at Westhaven Nursing Home have provided excellent care for my mother, they showed great kindness and support as her health deteriorated over the years. The environment is modern, welcoming, very clean and maintained to a high standard.
I have no hesitation in recommending

My mother was a resident from May 2021 until her death in May 2022. Westhaven was the ideal home for her, always a clean, caring and well-maintained environment. The staff at Westhaven provided excellent end-of-life care for my father. The care assistants were always polite and responsive.

Could not fault the care and attention given to my parents as we all negotiated the move from home to care home.
Although both of my parents are still adjusting to this seismic shift in their circumstances, all the staff have gone way above the "call of duty" to ensure that they are happy and cared
for.
Although there are some "niggles", I am more than happy with the care they are receiving.

Mum arrived at Westhaven Nursing and Residential Home with an irreparable bilateral break in November 2018; she was 91. We were told she was unlikely to survive more than a few months. Westhaven Nursing and Residential Home took her under their wing and cared for her. Through constant attention (nursing),
a good diet and kindness, Mum thrived. Whenever I visited her, she was always clean, dressed and comfortable. You can tell a good care home when you walk through the door, no smell and a happy atmosphere - try it.

My father was admitted to Westhaven on Tuesday 17th May. He was in poor health having had a serious chest infection and heart fibrillation and he needed 24-hour nursing care. Following a change in his medication and excellent nursing care, he will return home on Monday 13th of June. He was well looked
after and the staff were very helpful, especially the matron, nurses and handyman.

My mother-in-law has been in Westhaven now for several months. She has struggled to adapt with her health problems and moving into a care home. All the staff from the management to the carers have been so supportive and understanding with her, and we have seen how relaxed she is with them. We feel reassured
