My brother was in Westhaven for approximately 3 years. He was extremely well looked after. Whenever I visited all the staff were so very caring. He was a very sick man but was looked after with love and shown great dignity. I can never thank the carers enough.

You will appreciate it is a very painful time for mum’s family right now, but I just wanted to pass on our huge thanks for all the care, kindness and support your team showed Mum in her last few months. From the warm welcome, including mum’s favourite salmon sandwiches and soup on arrival, to the endless
cups of tea to be able to watch her favourite movies from her youth. Your team showed excellence in their abilities, knowledge and skill, and I just wish Mum had, had more time to enjoy your lovely staff's special care.

My mother has been a resident in Westhaven for three years now. She is well cared for, and we have never had any problems. If we have concerns, we are able to talk about it. Nothing is too much trouble for the staff. Mum has been happy there, and the staff are always caring towards Mum. At the end of
Mum's life, the staff were so caring and thoughtful and made sure Mum was comfortable until the end. We can't fault them at all.

Our cousin was with you for only a relatively short time, but she was very well cared for at the end of her life. My mother was a resident in the home of just over 2 years. I felt reassured from the start that she would be well cared for. The matron and staff understand her needs and personality and she went from being depressed and lonely, back to her normal happy self. The end of life care given to her was both
excellent and comforting. I would highly recommend this home to anyone who is worried about putting their family into the care home system.

I was in Westhaven following surgery for elbow replacement. I was well looked after with care and thoughtfulness. The staff without question were thoughtful, pleasant and helpful.

My mum was very happy in Westhaven, she always said she felt comfortable in her lovely room and well cared for. My experience was to see my mum well looked after, feeling safe and the carers gave her exceptional care. I couldn't have wanted more, I know she was safe, loved and well cared for.

The care given in Westhaven was fantastic, they go the extra mile to make sure that the client is well and happy. They were so kind to my mum, nothing was to much trouble. The staff do their very best to help the people in their care, without their care my mum would have passed away a lot sooner than
she did, mum loved it there, she said she felt safe which is a good feeling when you are elderly. Also loved the movie nights as well, food is freshly prepared, entertainment is provided as well. I would highly recommend this home to anyone. When my mum passed away the staff was extremely kind to me and my family, help was given along with sympathy tea and biscuits. I cannot recomend this home highly enough.

The overall standard of care was very good. I cannot judge on 'value for money'. My relative was in the home for 19 months over which time she deteriorated gradually as her illness progressed. We flagged up problems regarding personal hygiene on more than one occasion and the problem was dealt with
appropriately. I felt that the staff genuinely cared about my relative and responded appropriately and in a timely fashion to any issues we raised.
My relative died in the home and she was treated with great respect and kindness even though she was usually asleep as she approached her death.
I was also very impressed by the way the home treated her husband. It was obviously a very difficult time for him and the staff were always kind and respectful of him and did everything in their power to help him too throughout my relative's stay in the home.
The staff I met were always friendly, kind and considerate and I was very happy with the home.

The carers at Westhaven cannot be faulted.

The staff were very helpful for the time my father was in there for 1 week respite. My father was very challenging with his deafness and sign language. He was very angry with us, his family and was not happy being in there. I would say I would take him back there if the staff would have him. The place

My uncle was admitted to Westhaven for his end of life care. We can’t fault anything about his three week stay. All the staff were so friendly and caring. They did whatever he needed to make him comfortable, from getting a new bed to running out to the local shop for ice. The nurses made a point of
coming and introducing themselves to us when we visited and coped very well with his many, many visitors. His room was lovely and the whole place was always clean and tidy. We would wholeheartedly recommend Westhaven to any families looking for a care/nursing home for their relative.

I have been able to get to know the staff over the past year. A very warm, caring and very much a family feel to the home. Staff who really care about the well being of my friend and this shows in their actions. Rooms are kept tidy and very clean. I feel very much at ease knowing that my friend is being
very well looked after twenty-four hours a day. She herself says how caring the staff are and how lovely it is that they can find the time to chat with her during a busy day.
