It's like a five-star hotel. Nothing is too much trouble. Very good care workers and the food looks excellent with a very good choice of menu. Very good in-house doctor. I just found that the room that my dad was in was a little dark. The window was quite small for the size of the room with a huge holly
bush outside the window.

Immediately upon Mum's residency here in late August 2022 and until her recent death, all members of staff were nothing but kind, compassionate, loving, caring, friendly and supportive of her and us. Nothing was too much trouble for anyone. All of her care needs were instantly and constantly met; she
was encouraged daily to get out of bed and was assisted with care, compassion and understanding, with all of her personal needs and dressing as well as eating and drinking. Time was taken to get to know her and her family as well as her likes and dislikes, which were fully catered for. Everyone knew her name and background and centred discussions with her around these topics so as to engage her and encourage her. Instantly her mood and general awareness were so much better. She so enjoyed participating in daily activities, especially music, singing and dancing - she got some of her old sparkle back. We appreciate all of the love, care and support she received until and beyond her death from everyone here.

My wife has now been resident in Clayton Manor for almost 2 years. At first it was difficult for me to come to terms with the care home. Over time this has got easier and now I feel quite comfortable visiting almost every day. I now interact with staff and residents so easily and quite enjoy the daily

Since Mum has been at Clayton Manor Care Home - Avery Healthcare there have been some distressing times with her mental health but the staff have always treated her with compassion and respect at all times. There have been times when she is non-cooperative and must have tried the patience of the staff
but as previously stated the care is exemplary.

My husband has been in Clayton Manor since the end of October 2022. He has settled in very well and seems very happy. The staff are very professional and intensive. It is a lovely environment with lots of activities for the residents to engage in. I'm so happy that my husband is getting looked after

My wife had a two-week respite stay here from the 7th to the 21st of September, this is the third care home I have tried since I began to use my respite allowance 6 years ago. My previous experience of this type of service has been not without its difficulties, my main complaint has been how dirty and
unkempt she has been upon collecting her to bring her home, I have never been able to understand how this can possibly be acceptable. This respite stay was excellent, she was not put with people who were mentally much worse than she is so her mental health was just as I had left her. She was clean and tidy, I did not have to shower her as soon as we got home as I had always had to do, all her clothes were laundered and ironed, all her belongings came home with her intact, which was an absolute first.
I could not recommend this home highly enough and the lovely staff and the manager who was so very helpful to me as I still find the initial parting very upsetting.

The care home is very light and bright. Nan's room is lovely with sliding doors. Staff are friendly and welcoming. Great that we can make ourselves a drink in the waiting area. Lots of activities to do each day with lots of variety.

I am very happy with the care provided for my mum by Clayton Manor Care Home. The care staff and nursing staff are very helpful and always attend/assist with any issues or concerns I have with Mum's care.

No longer able to obtain domiciliary care to enable my father to stay in his own home, I was very anxious about the prospect of a nursing home. From the first contact with the manager at Clayton Manor Care Home, however, I began to relax. On the day of admission, he was warmly welcomed on the journey
and on arrival by a whole team of smiling faces. Carers, nurses, office staff and support staff are all professional, friendly, caring, compassionate and responsive. It took Dad a while to settle into his new surroundings but he is content and beginning to participate in activities despite his limitations. I am confident that he is safe and well looked after. The team welcomes feedback. All questions and requests are dealt with promptly. There's a pleasant garden room for visitors, lovely gardens and a little cafe area. I can't ask for more.

I have a special interest in dementia care, and worked as a national dementia lead, before coming to manage Clayton Manor in 2020. Prior to this role, I managed an outstanding-rated home for 9 years. I love my job and work hard to ensure that people living and working here are happy, and safe and have the best we can possibly offer. I also ensure that relatives are informed of what is happening at all times. We operate in a truly inclusive way so everyone feels welcome and supported. I am very proud to say that I work at Clayton Manor. It is the most homely, caring and exceptional place I have worked in.
