My husband was in Clayton Manor for approximately 2 months.
I visited him every day and was always impressed by the care he received.
I never saw anything untoward and the staff looked after me as well as my husband.
I found the cost rather expensive but decided if you want the best you should pay for it.

If I ever need to be in a care home, Clayton Manor is the one I would choose.

When my wife came to Clayton Manor we were unsure of how she would be cared for. In the event, we could not have been more impressed. The quality of care, the quality and friendliness of the staff and the quality of the accommodation were all admirable. Everything was as good as one could expect.

Thank you so much.

I hated having to put my dad in a care home but I had no choice, it was the best place for him. The staff were lovely with him and incredibly patient. If any more of my family need this sort of care I wouldn't hesitate in using the same home again or in recommending it to a friend.

Mum waited so long to use the commode/toilet, she wet herself and was embarrassed and ashamed. She pressed her buzzer but had to wait a long time for a nurse/carer to assist her to the toilet.

My mum has been a resident for nearly two years and is extremely happy. She looks very well cared for and is comfortable with all the staff. Her room always looks beautiful and there is always something going on to entertain her. I have no qualms about leaving her with everyone and the whole place is a joy to visit.

My parents are now both in Clayton Manor and care very well cared for. My mother has been in a few years now and the staff couldn't be nicer to her. She can have 'difficult' days (or moments) but the staff are extra patient and kind and she soon reverts to her normal self.

My father has been in the dementia unit for just over a year, he has gone downhill very quickly but is treated with great understanding and tolerance.

The food is good with varied menus and level of cleanliness is outstanding, in all the bedrooms and public areas.

Visitors are welcomed and involved, all in all, a good place to be.

My sister has been in Clayton Manor care home now for 8 weeks and so far things are really good.
The care she is receiving is excellent.
When I visit there is always someone to keep me informed on my sister's welfare and having a doctor there twice a week I think is wonderful.

The one downside I can foresee is the changing of staff, but no one can help it if people decide to leave, as my sister finds it hard to communicate and carers have left while she has been there, but everyone is understanding of her needs which are many.

Clayton Manor is good with outstanding features. Our only concern as a family is that at times staffing levels are tight. However, we are pleased with the provision made for Mum with caring staff.

I can't fault Clayton Manor Care Home. My mum is very hard to please but the staff are always patient and helpful. The facilities are fantastic, especially since the recent refurbishments. The activities are varied and the staff encourage participation including occasional day trips out. The quality of nursing care is excellent and mum's health has improved since she moved here. All the staff are friendly and cheerful management deal quickly and efficiently with any concerns.

The home was being refurbished when my father first arrived for nursing care. Despite all the obvious upheaval, the staff were always very caring and friendly to all residents. The admin staff then made every effort to make accommodation available for my mother who had dementia. Both parents are now in Clayton Manor and although on separate floors, because of needs, the staff make every effort that they are together on a daily basis. This is the second home I have been to with my parents and I have to say the staff, services and activities are the best and always so accommodating. Absolutely no problems and all queries dealt with rapidly and positively. One definitely to recommend.

My mother in law was well and truly looked after here, she was a resident at the home for nearly 10 years. She first arrived here to live on the Memory Unit, she loved it and got on well with the staff. She spent 7 years on the unit, but with her health and age she began to decline
because the home had nursing facilities we were lucky enough to not have to move her.

She sadly slipped away peacefully in December last year at the grand age of 99.

Three and a half years ago we chose Clayton Manor for mum based largely on the positive and caring attitude of the staff - and they're still providing great support and care.
The furnishings were a bit tired but the level of care was our main concern. However, over the last six months, there has been a significant investment. It now has a first-rate environment to match the care - including a cafe bar for more relaxing family visits.

A big thank you to all the staff

Our mam has been at Clayton Manor Care Home now for about six weeks and we've been very impressed with the quality (and quantity) of care. Each time we visit, there are always plenty of helpful, smiling staff on hand to help both the residents and their families.

We're really pleased with the way the move has worked out.
