A family member is a resident of Willow for dementia care. The staff go above and beyond in relation to their care. Their genuine interest and concern for the welfare of residents in their care shines through. They offer constant reassurance and support to not only the residents but also the family and friends of each resident. The overall quality of care is excellent. Whilst the building and facilities provided are very good, it is the quality of care provided by the staff that makes this home so good. They provide the optimum quality of life for their residents. Well done and thank you for caring.

Our wonderful Mum had been really struggling with advancing Alzheimer's at a previous residential dementia care home. Unable to cope anymore we were given no option but to move her. Belong has a particular brand of dementia care, it's pretty unique having viewed 15 dementia care homes. When Mum was offered a place at Belong I cried, the relief was immense.

We remain very grateful and thankful every day that our Mum is being cared for at Belong. Remarkably the previous aggression and acute emotional instability displayed greatly improved within months, due without question to the highly trained staff in dementia care. It's wonderful to know she feels very safe, loved and secure. I wonder how it can be that one care home can employ so many wonderful people who genuinely provide care and love every day in the way they do. Mum has been part of the Willow House family at Belong for 16 months, enjoying the social interaction and activities with lots of smiles and laughs along the way too.

My mum has recently passed away and cannot fault all staff of Belong Care Home during my mum's last few weeks, not just the staff on Oak but the whole building, from the caretakers to bistro staff. I cannot praise them enough. Especially my mum's last day with you, the staff on Oak not only watched over my mum but they took care of my daughter while she sat with Mum (as I could not get there in time).

So a huge thank you to you all from the bottom of my heart and family as a whole.

I have been trained and worked in care for the past 26 years and I really can't praise Belong and all the staff enough. From the moving her in stage and still now two years down the line, they have been accommodating, warm, flexible and always attentive. It is always lovely to visit, to see the staff who always try to accommodate every eventuality. Who always make me feel welcome. I have great peace of mind knowing that my loved one is safe and so well cared for.

I am very happy with Belong and am so glad we chose it. The carers and nurses are wonderful with my mum and I have every confidence in the care that she receives. There is very much a family feel in the household, which helps both the resident (and their family) to feel at home, settled and included. All of the staff in 'the village' are excellent and I can't thank the management staff enough for all their help and support over the years.

Both my parents have lived at Belong Macclesfield, where they have received excellent care. The care is very personal, and every effort is given to know residents and respond to their needs and interests Communication with family is strong and regular, particularly at stressful times. My dad really enjoyed the strong relationships that we built with the carers, which was clearly a two-way thing when we witnessed how upset and sad they were when he died. Mum is able to be happy in her own world there, and we sleep at night knowing this was the right place for them both.

My mum was a very independent 95 year old who'd always wanted to die in her own home. However, after a stroke in January, it became obvious she could no longer live independently. We looked at a number of nursing homes and chose Belong because of its ethos of family and community, which pervades everything they do. We also really liked their not-for-profit business model which means that any profits are ploughed back into serving the residents better. We have not been disappointed: the staff are really caring, treating every resident with respect, despite the challenges that Covid continues to place on staffing. Mum has settled really quickly and loves the staff, and they love her. She likes visiting the Bistro and raves about the hairdresser, but I can't yet comment on the activities directly (although the programme looks great) as she has not done any so far. It is a real comfort knowing she is being looked after so well, particularly as I am not local. Thank you, Belong!

My husband and I found Belong for our special friend. She was admitted to Belong in January 2022. She is extremely happy with absolutely everything about Belong as we are.

My mother was admitted to Belong for two weeks of respite care, but sadly she was not to live that long. The staff in Holly House were wonderful in the care and support they gave us as a family. Mum was able to die peacefully and with dignity in the presence of her family. Something for which we will always be grateful.

Belong is very careful to keep us well informed. I was contacted immediately when the doctor thought my husband had pneumonia. I was allowed to visit him with my 2 daughters. The staff were very attentive to us. When the result of the PCR test came through he did in fact have covid. He was given antibiotics and in a few days, he was a lot better. I feel the staff know him very well and are able to cope with his changing moods. The food is good and he is always able to have his food later if he is asleep at normal meal times. The staff are very reassuring and always do their best to deal with problems.

After our Dad became more dependent on support, we took the opportunity to use Belong in Macclesfield for some respite care for him.
The information we received before his stay was straightforward and comprehensive and the transition was very smooth. Everything was ready for him when we arrived and we could bring any items we wanted in order to make his bedroom familiar just like home as he suffers from Dementia as well as being rather frail.
The care and support both he and us his children received was excellent and was given with genuine care.
The improvement in him physically was very visible to see. His appetite increased with the lovely home-cooked meals and regular medicine administration.

The unit didn’t feel institutional at all, with normal furnishings and open kitchen. It was a real benefit to him and us and would recommend this care home.

My father has been a resident in Belong, Macclesfield since October 2017. The care has always been of a high standard, both professional and compassionate and we have always felt assured that he is getting the very best support and care. The home is modern and well-designed; my father has a spacious room with an en suite shower and bathroom. He has had some health challenges during the last two years but the care provided has adapted well to his changing needs. The home has been consistent in applying rules around visiting due to Covid and as a result, have avoided any major problems. My father has had covid, although with few symptoms, and needed to isolate for fourteen days but this was well handled and he is back in circulation. I also want to mention that the staff throughout Belong are warm and friendly, working well as a team. The staff on reception are particularly quick to offer help and guidance - again with the right mixture of professionalism and friendliness.

Following the death of my mother in 2017, my late father was completely lost. After a recommendation from a friend, Dad went along for coffee to the Bistro at Belong Macclesfield. He was a sociable and very chatty man and soon made lots of friends visiting every day for his lunch. He then discovered the Venue and the rest was history. Dad became a familiar face and his life became liveable again. He loved the activities, checking every day what was on and retelling me all about it. He encouraged me to bring our little ones from Pre School and we shared activities with the other guests. The whole experience was an absolute lifesaver for me as a full-time worker, knowing that he was enjoying life and not sitting alone watching tv. He made the most amazing friends and their help and support will always live in my heart. Sadly he passed away just as he was about to become a resident but I would fully recommend Belong Macclesfield to anyone.

My mother is cared for as an individual, her likes and dislikes are catered for and I feel the carers know her well and like her. The communications between Belong Macclesfield Specialist Day Care and family is good - we are notified of any changes in Mums health or welfare and our wishes are taken into account. Mum is warm, safe and safeguarded. The staff are cheerful and caring to all the residents.
