Our experience with Belong has been extremely positive. They were excellent at helping my dad settle into his new surroundings. Belong is perfect for my dad as he is still physically able and therefore able to take advantage of the activities etc. Dad is well fed and cared for, the relative's Gateway is kept up to date so we can see his notes at regular intervals. Nothing is too much trouble for the staff and I feel that they go above and beyond trying to keep dad happy.

I have seen a number of models of care for my mother and Belong offers something quite unique. The concept of a small household with consistent staff provides a homely, caring and comforting environment and it is clear that the staff know and understand their residents. The level of attention to wellbeing goes far beyond simply providing care. The manager and her staff are always available, approachable and proactive. My mother has been on Poplar Suite Belong for 20 months. The staff are exceptional. Her care is tailored to her needs, cognitive ability and moods! which have always been met with the utmost kindness and respect. In these most difficult times when I am unable to visit my mother the staff on Poplar have made sure that I am able to stay in touch and have been immensely reassuring. I am confident she could be nowhere safer.

My mother was in a care home prior to moving into Belong. My siblings and I selected Belong because we believed she would much happier, more comfortable, secure and safer in the homelier apartment-style accommodation, having the same carers looking after her and their own night duty carer. Her carers are an exceptionally dedicated team. They know and read their "patients" and understand all their needs extremely well. They all work to make our mother feel as happy, loved, fulfilled, and secure as possible. They are an extremely dedicated, caring, selfless, patient, fun, imaginative team. As visitors, we too always feel extremely welcome.

My mother suffers from Vascular Dementia. She has been at Belong since September last year and I can honestly say that I can't think of anywhere that I would prefer her to be. The staff are like a second family to her and though I'm desperate to get in to see mum again, I know that she's in the best place for her and that she's being looked after and loved.

I have been taking a friend to participate in the experience days for a number of months, and she has enjoyed a fantastic variety of activities. She is now staying in one of the houses, and it has been a massive change which she has found incredibly difficult to adjust. The dedication and care from the staff have been outstanding and continues to be so particularly through such challenging times recently. I always feel welcome when visiting, and there is always someone who you can talk to if you have any queries even though they are incredibly busy caring for residents.

I cannot recommend or thank the staff at Belong who cared for my mother. Every single member from reception, to the nurses to her day to day carers to her key worker were brilliant.
I got to meet everyone during her last 2 weeks there. How they looked after her was amazing, but even more so was how they looked after me as I stayed with her.
They treated me and my mother as if we were family. The care was catered for her needs, which I believe belonged not only her life but quality of life.

I cannot recommend this care home more.

We transferred my Father from a previous care home last April to Belong Macclesfield, where he spent the final months of his life being cared for at Holly House.
He gradually deteriorated over eleven months, but each step of the way he was cared for and his wishes were never questioned.
The staff at Holly House also supported us as a family and had time to listen when we were anxious or upset.
It may be a cliche, but Belong Macclesfield are like an extended family. They work extremely hard to support all aspects of care for the elderly no matter the diagnosis and needs.
We put 100% trust in all the staff and they gave my Father and us 100% in return.
It’s been a week since my father’s death and I have no doubt that he was well cared for up until the moment he left Holly House to rest in peace.

The staff at Holly House will always have a special place in our hearts, they continually go above and beyond what is expected.

I visited my mother on Cedar Village last Sunday and had a particularly emotional visit. My mother is bed-bound and now is unable to communicate. I was particularly tearful and a very compassionate young man on Cedar showed such empathy and demonstrated such a caring nature. I felt it necessary to inform Belong. Thank you so much to him - he knows who he is.

My wife needed to be placed in residential care at quite short notice, initially for a period of respite and Belong had been recommended to me. The process was quite stressful and I cannot praise the support and understanding given by the staff enough, helping us to get through the challenging transition. The temporary placement for respite has now turned into a permanent one and my wife, although content, is still coming to terms with the fact she is not returning home. Once again, the support, care and understanding shown by the staff in managing that transition has been wonderful. Previous experience with care homes led to understandable preconceptions, pretty much of all of which have been proven wrong at Belong. With its household structure, it offers a very different environment that promotes a community existence rather than a more insular residential one and this creates a very different, livelier "feel". My thanks to all those who have helped my wife settle in.

My mother has been a resident at Belong Macclesfield for two years. Over this time her physical and cognitive functions have changed significantly but the staff at Belong have always treated her with utmost kindness and respect. Encouraging her to participate in as many of the activities as possible, but mindful of her interests and personality. The household structure facilitates personalised care, staff consistency and a more homely atmosphere. I feel happy that my mother is being cared for with skill and dignity in the most appropriate environment for her needs.

I am very impressed by the care and support my friend has received whilst in Belong and the food and accommodation are very good. The entertainment is very impressive and there is not a dull moment as the staff provide a homely and welcoming feel to the household and to visitors and residents. There is also continuity within the home and this is tailored to aspects of her care and I love coming to visit my friend in Holly House.

My husband sadly passed away recently after spending the last two years of his life as a resident in Beech House, Belong Macclesfield. He was diagnosed with Alzheimer's/vascular dementia in 2009 and sadly had to enter care in November 2017. My choice of Belong was never regretted. His care during the last two years has been wonderful, caring, attentive and always given with love and dignity. The team in Beech cared for my husband so well and gave me peace of mind throughout. They were my friends too, often going above and beyond the call of duty. Thank you all.

The initial settling in of my mother in June 2018 was very upsetting and at the time I thought we could have done with more support. However, over the months we realised why the "settling in" stage is quite low key. The way the staff take care not to disrupt the household when sadly someone passes away is remarkable. My Mother was so happy at Belong Macclesfield. Sadly it was only for a year. We, as a family, all enjoyed visiting and were really made to feel at home. I can't fault the whole process.

Have been involved as a family member with the resident of Belong Macclesfield for six years and find the service to be of a very high standard in sometimes very challenging circumstances. Putting our dad into care was one of the hardest decisions that our family has had to make. The support, warmth and care of the amazing staff and homely environment has helped our dad settle quickly and given us the comfort he’s in the best place with the best available care. Belong has a great set up with ‘houses’ containing approx 10 bedrooms with a shared kitchen and living area. The residents eat and spend time together in the houses, so they and the staff become familiar with each other and the house operates more like a loving family home than an institution.

The staff are exceptionally kind and caring and take considerable care with residents and their families. I can’t speak highly enough of the care and support that they have given to Dad and how they have responded to his changing needs - including end of life care. Outstanding.
