I just want to thank everyone at Mount Hall for making Lynn so at home. She wasn't able to look after herself previously, and ended up in hospital. Mount Hall has been great for her - she's well-fed, looked after and has company. She always praises the food and the staff are delightful. Alan is an excellent manager who obviously cares and maintains high standards.
Thank you for your lovely review. It is wonderful to hear that your loved one has settled in comfortably with us. We're pleased to know the meals are hitting the mark! Our catering team always aims to provide variety, comfort and quality. Thank you for recognizing the care and dedication of our...
We have been made to feel extremely happy/welcome at Mount Hall. All the staff have been so kind and caring and have made it feel like home. We can't fault it and would certainly recommend to others. We will miss our friends at Mount Hall. They are doing an amazing job. A big thank you.
Thank you for your lovely feedback. It is always so nice to hear from family members feeling like their loved one has been well cared for. Thank you again for your recommendation.
Went in for 2 weeks' rest/respite. Pleasant room and spotless, as was the rest of the residential areas. Lovely views (was fortunate with sunny weather). Food rather disappointing. Mattress rather uncomfortable. Staff were very kind. They need to have some way of making a hot drink (on the 1st/floor at night/for themselves and residents) Enjoyed my stay.
Thank you for your feedback. We are happy to hear that you enjoyed your stay. We will certainly pass your comments regarding the food, mattress and drinks making facilities on to our management team.
I find the place (Mount Hall) very nice. The staff are all great. There are no complaints at all about food. I am restricted to some of the activites but there always something for me to do.

This is a beautiful, well-kept home in lovely surroundings, but what makes it outstanding are the people who work here. Without exception they are not only hard working and professional, but also friendly, warm and welcoming. They constantly go the extra mile to make the whole family feel truly cared for and nurtured.
We're so grateful that you've taken the time to share your thoughts. It's lovely to know that you found the surroundings here pleasant and well maintained- we want our residents to feel at home from the moment they arrive. We're fortunate to have such a dedicated and compassionate team, and it's...
I've been in here 3 weeks and have no idea how much long I will be in here. I cannot fault anything. Everyone is so friendly and helpful.

Every time I visit my fiancés grandmother at Mount Hall the friendliness, helpfulness, and caring nature of the staff is evident as soon as you walk through the door as you are always greeted warmly by the employees behind the desk. The staff all make such an effort to smile and chat to you when they pass you in the corridor and form lovely bonds with the visitors and the residents. When I visit my fiancés grandmother she always looks well taken care of with her hair nicely styled and her nails painted beautifully, she always has tea on hand and either a biscuit or a hearty meal too. The staff and carers are so kind to her and they all made such a fuss over her for her recent birthday, even allowing us to have a family gathering in the lounge to celebrate the special occasion.
Your review means a great deal to our team and we're so grateful you shared your experience. We are so pleased that the kindness and care of our staff members has been recognised. We are delighted that your loved one is enjoying being pampered in our salon. It is fantastic to hear you find the team...
My grandma celebrated her 100th birthday at Mount Hall and when I visited all the staff were so so lovely & you can tell they genuinely care. I'm so happy my grandma is in such a nice, clean & safe place!
We're so grateful that you've taken the time to share your thoughts. It's great to hear that your grandma enjoyed celebrating her 100th birthday with us- what a cause for celebration! It's wonderful to know that you feel your loved one has been well cared for- that's exactly what we strive for. We're looking forward to creating many more happy memories with you and your family.
For my in-laws, being at Mount Hall meant the best of medical attention, excellent food, a beautiful setting in which to live, company and friends, but most of all the attention of and support from a highly professional team of administrators, nurses, carers, housekeepers and maintenance staff, entertainment coordinators, chefs and kitchen staff. Without the support the home offered, my parents-in-law's final years would not have been filled with so much laughter, fun and contentment. We always enjoyed our visits to Mount Hall, hearing about what had been happening during the week and also connecting with some of the other residents and their family members. The weekly friendly chats with members of staff were uplifting and we will miss visiting - Mount Hall has felt like a second home to us. All interactions with staff have been given with the spirit of human kindness.
Your words remind us why we do what we do. We want our home to feel like a community, and it's wonderful to hear that you have felt a part of it. We're fortunate to have such a dedicated and compassionate team, and it's wonderful to see their hard work recognised. Thank you for recognizing the care...
My parents spent around 7 months at Mount Hall. They were there while dad recuperated after an operation. In some ways, they were reluctant residents, but the staff (carers, household and admin) all worked hard to make their life comfortable and welcoming. Some staff became good friends, and their interest and attention helped make mum and dad's stay as good as possible. The grounds and accessibility really helped them to maintain some independence. The family are very grateful to all staff at Mount Hall for looking after mum and dad so well.
We're so grateful that you've taken the time to share your thoughts. We hope that Mount Hall did everything possible to make the transition as easy as possible. We are proud to have such a compassionate team, and we're glad this has shone through in your experience. Hopefully, you will go away from this feeling like your loved one received the best possible care.
My partner was transferred to Mount Hall from hospital after a bad stroke. He is being treated with the utmost care, kindness, consideration, courtesy and compassion. Every member of staff, whatever their role, are polite, helpful and takes tremendous pride in their role, and in Mount Hall itself. There is a wonderful atmosphere. Friends and relatives are treated with care and understanding.
Thank you for your kind words. We are glad to help you and your family through such a difficult time and we are pleased to hear that your Partner is being looked after and cared for well. It is always lovely to hear words like "Kindness" and "Consideration" being used to describe our care and we hope to continue providing your loved one with the best possible care.
My grandma received exceptional care whilst she lived at Mount Hall. I loved visiting her, it was like home from home. The staff were loving and attentive, not just with grandma but with us too - they took an interest in us all. They treated grandma with respect, like she was family. The activities they planned for grandma and the residents were fab, and often included family members too. We never worried about grandma as we knew she was taken such good care of. Thank you!

Set in lovely surroundings, Mount Hall is an ideal home to be residing in. My good friends of over 40 years is happily being cared for. On arriving at the front door, you are greeted by a warm and friendly face. Everyone seems happy, residents appear content. The whole ambulance is very good. Meals appear first class at from what I've seen. Entertainment on daily scale and activities on offer excellent. My father-in-law was in Mount Hall for three and a half weeks in for end of life care. He was treated with respect and dignity from all the staff. They tried on a daily basis to include him in activities, which they succeeded to do. They gave him time with personal care and nothing was too much trouble. He had very little appetite but they tried every day to tempt him with his favourite foods Every member of staff was dedicated to his needs, and had time to chat with him. He loved it there! He felt reloved and cared for. As a family we are extremely grateful to everyone and could not have hoped for a better ending to his life

Meet the Team (5)

My first role in Bupa was as a staff nurse, then unit manager, before progressing to clinical deputy manager and then home manager in June 2024.
I qualified as a Registered nurse in Ghana in 2002. I have previous experience of working in the NHS and as a haemodialysis nurse for a private dialysis company. The bulk of my experience has however been working in care homes in a variety of roles. Although I have pursued other career ambitions, my passion for working with the elderly always brought me back to the sector.
I love working here as it means so much to me to be part of a supportive team that continuously strives to be world class in the care in the we deliver, through meaningful engagement with residents, their families and staff.
I am a mother of four and in my spare time I and enjoy spending time with my family. The highlight of my weekend is cheering on my little boy and budding footballer at the touchline. I have a passion for fully committing to everything I do both professionally and in my personal life. I enjoy being support to others in any way I can.

I am a registered adult nurse with over 13 years experience. My nursing journey started in Nigeria, where I earned my bachelor’s degree in nursing. Following this, I moved to the UK where I obtained a level 5 management in health and social care. My interest in the care home sector grew from my passion for providing high quality, person-centred care. Working in this environment has allowed me to blend my clinical expertise with leadership, ensuring that care is both compassionate and efficient.
What I enjoy most about working in the care sector, is the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on people’s lives every day and the relationships I build with residents, relatives and the care team. The care home environment fosters deep connections, and I appreciate the trust that residents place in us. I am also passionate about self and professional development; I'm currently studying for a masters degree in nursing at the University of Sunderland to further develop my clinical and leadership skills, contributing to evidence-based nursing practice for a better service delivery in the care sector.
Family is a huge part of my life. I am a proud mum of two children - my eldest is 4 and his little sister is 1. I live local to the home, in Bollington, and in my spare time I enjoy outdoor walks and playing with my children at the playground. I also enjoy reading, cooking, swimming and exploring innovative healthcare solutions through simple research and documentations.

I have worked at Mount Hall for 29 years. Before this job, I worked as a district nurse in Manchester. I love being a nurse because I'm able to give care to others and make residents smile, and the team I work with always gives 100% every day.
I have been married for 38 years, and have two grown-up sons. In my spare time, I enjoy eating out trying new food and going away on holiday with my family - my husband and sons are my world!

I have worked in this role for Bupa for 14 years. I commenced nursing training in 1975 at Withington Hospital, Manchester. After I qualified, I spent many years working in hospitals, specialising in accident & emergency and orthopaedics.
My favourite part about my job is looking after residents and being part of a great team.
I have 4 children, now all grown up! And two grandchildren - outside of work I love spending time with my family.

I have worked for Bupa for 21 years. Previous to that, I have worked in a private school and the building trade as a property developer.
I love working in the care sector as no 2 days are the same! Doing all I can for the residents and working with a good and friendly team is what I love about working here.
In my spare time, I enjoy spending time with my partner, Angie and love cooking fancy meals. I also have a keen interest in cars.
