From the time I viewed Mount Hall on behalf of my mum I just knew this was right for her.
The staff are kind, considerate, and caring. The decor and furnishings are classic and smart. Anything that a resident requires or requests is dealt with straight away.
Although my mum has not been there very long, we are all very happy that we chose Mount Hall.
We appreciate you taking the time to leave us your comments. It is lovely to hear that you are happy with the care your mum is receiving in our home. Please let us know if there is anything we can do to make your mum's stay as comfortable as possible.
We had a shaky start as senior staff didn't seem to understand that his vascular dementia was not very severe and was more of a forgetful problem - he had had COVID in hospital and his kidneys are failing, he's been under the care of the hospital so his body is basically end of life. Once the staff got mental experts in, everything became alright and they understood how to look after him.
Thank you for your feedback. We are glad that you are now happy with the care your loved one is receiving at Mount Hall. Please let us know if there is anything further we can do to make his stay as comfortable as possible.
Her room looks out over farmland at the back of the property and she enjoys watching the cattle and sheep on the fields from her chair when she is in her room.
There are daily activities and the staff work tirelessly to look after all the residents and all their needs. We also receive regular updates of any changes.
From the time you step inside the front door, the staff are friendly and extremely helpful.
I would recommend Mount Hall to anyone and am so pleased my 93-year-old mother is in such a caring place. Every time I leave her I feel reassured she is in good hands. The standard of care is excellent and I would like to thank all the staff for the care my mum receives.
Thank you for your lovely review. We are so lucky to have such beautiful views from the rooms at Mount Hall, we are glad that your mum enjoys the farm life. It is so nice to hear the way you describe our staff and it is great to hear that you are reassured knowing your mum is in good hands. Thank you again for your kind words.
My aunt is very content and happy at Mount Hall and frequently expresses her satisfaction with all aspects of her care. This includes not only the carers - who she cannot praise highly enough for their attention and professionalism - but also other staff including the catering staff who cheerfully accommodate her food preferences.
Thank you for taking the time to leave your review, it is lovely to hear that your aunt is happy and content in our care home and that she feels happy in all aspects of her care. Please let us know if there is anything we can do to make your aunt's stay as comfortable as possible.
My mother will be 100 next month. She has been cared for at Mount Hall for nearly 10 years. The standard of care she receives is excellent and she has a lovely room which has been redecorated recently. I have only ever seen the staff treating her with kindness and dignity. She responds to them with smiles and laughter which is very reassuring to me. I am so grateful to everyone at Mount Hall for being there for my mother at this time in her life.
We appreciate you taking the time to leave us your comments. It is nice to hear that your mother enjoys her time with us and has liked the past 10 years in our care and that you feel she is treated with dignity and kindness. Thank you for choosing Mount Hall to care for your mother.
My husband seems to have enjoyed his stay. He was very tired when he got home. He says he would be okay to stay there again. We felt the home felt warm and friendly and very clean. Friendly staff.
We appreciate you taking the time to leave us your review. Thank you for choosing Mount Hall to care for your husband.
I visited a friend and parishioner to give Holy Communion. I was very impressed by the environment and the staff. In the course of my work, I visit a number of homes and I think Mount Hall Care Home is one of the best I have visited.
We appreciate you taking the time to leave us your comments. Thank you.
Food portions were too small for my requirements.
We appreciate you taking the time to leave us your comments. Thank you for bringing this to our attention, we will certainly feed this back to the home manager.
Unfortunately, due to COVID restrictions, I was unable to accompany my dad into the care home so I can't comment directly on the facilities or activities, but I have no concerns that they are not excellent.
We appreciate you taking the time to leave us your comments. We are happy to hear your dad feels like a part of our Mount Hall family. Thank you for choosing Mount Hall for your dad's stay.
I have already informed and recommended Mount Hall to several people. This speaks for itself! The nursing care for a broken hip and other health issues was extremely good. Staff pleasant and efficient.

The team at Mount Hall are second to none. They treat my dad with the utmost respect and dignity and show real compassion and determination to do the best for him. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Mount Hall.
Thank you for your kind review and recommendation.
I have been reassured by the communications explaining that they have all the PPE they need and the outline and cleaning protocols.
Being able to talk to Mum and see her over FaceTime is also very reassuring for me. Thank you to all at Mount Hall.
Thank you for your feedback. It is lovely to hear you feel so reassured by the precautions being taken by Mount Hall. We hope to continue providing your mum with the best care possible.
My mum has been at Mount Hall since October 2019 and the family are extremely happy with the professional care she has received during this time. She enjoys going into the longe to join in with the daily activities which are very varied and well organised by the team. The food is of a high standard. It has been a difficult year for everyone due to COVID, but we have been kept informed with the latest government guidelines on a weekly basis and especially FaceTime calls which have been a lifeline for all of us.
Thank you for taking the time out to publish your review. It has been a difficult time for families and loved ones through the last year and I am pleased to hear we helped you stay in touch and up to date with the situation. Please let us know if there is anything else we can do for you or your family.
This has been an extraordinary time due to the "virus" but the staff and the carers have carried on, as usual, being helpful and cheerful and the kitchen is still giving us good food. I am full of admiration for them. This is my fourth year here and the home is "business as usual" and this 97-year-old is glad to be a resident.
We really appreciate you taking the time to leave us such lovely comments. Thank you for your praise.
I consider the Mount Hall is extremely well run it rigorously maintains good standards of care and professionalism. In addition, the staff provide that magic which of making residents feel that this is their home.
Thank you for taking the time to leave us such kind comments.
My mother and I thank the manager and all the staff of Mount Hall for their dedication and bravery during this difficult time of lock-down. Some of the staff she still sees daily. Others, from the administration, the kitchen and the laundry, she has not seen for many weeks. We are thinking of all of you and your families.
Thank you for taking the time to leave us such kind words.
I am very happy with the care she receives from all of the staff.
It is always nice to hear from family members feeling like their loved one is cared for and looked after. Thank you for your praise.
Mum is now settled and happy, enjoying every aspect of life at Mount Hall.
Excellent management along with a dedicated team of nursing and care staff underlines Mount Hall Care Home as an asset for the care of the elderly and enriches the lives of each resident.
From the moment you enter Mount Hall, family and visitors are welcomed. This home is beautiful and the standards are very high.
The outstanding manager is supported by an excellent team of caring professionals at every level.
We really appreciate such amazing feedback. It is great to hear that your mother is well settled and feels at home.
My mum was placed at Mount Hall for respite after a traumatic 6 months of illness. From walking through the front door we were met with smiley happy faces and that continued through her visit. Everything was excellent. My mum cried when leaving and is looking to returning as a visitor and especially to go back for respite visits. We both cannot recommend Mount Hall, it's staff and residents highly enough.
Thank you for such lovely feedback. We are very glad to hear about your mother's positive experience and we are looking forward to seeing her again in the future!

Meet the Team (5)

My first role in Bupa was as a staff nurse, then unit manager, before progressing to clinical deputy manager and then home manager in June 2024.
I qualified as a Registered nurse in Ghana in 2002. I have previous experience of working in the NHS and as a haemodialysis nurse for a private dialysis company. The bulk of my experience has however been working in care homes in a variety of roles. Although I have pursued other career ambitions, my passion for working with the elderly always brought me back to the sector.
I love working here as it means so much to me to be part of a supportive team that continuously strives to be world class in the care in the we deliver, through meaningful engagement with residents, their families and staff.
I am a mother of four and in my spare time I and enjoy spending time with my family. The highlight of my weekend is cheering on my little boy and budding footballer at the touchline. I have a passion for fully committing to everything I do both professionally and in my personal life. I enjoy being support to others in any way I can.

I am a registered adult nurse with over 13 years experience. My nursing journey started in Nigeria, where I earned my bachelor’s degree in nursing. Following this, I moved to the UK where I obtained a level 5 management in health and social care. My interest in the care home sector grew from my passion for providing high quality, person-centred care. Working in this environment has allowed me to blend my clinical expertise with leadership, ensuring that care is both compassionate and efficient.
What I enjoy most about working in the care sector, is the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on people’s lives every day and the relationships I build with residents, relatives and the care team. The care home environment fosters deep connections, and I appreciate the trust that residents place in us. I am also passionate about self and professional development; I'm currently studying for a masters degree in nursing at the University of Sunderland to further develop my clinical and leadership skills, contributing to evidence-based nursing practice for a better service delivery in the care sector.
Family is a huge part of my life. I am a proud mum of two children - my eldest is 4 and his little sister is 1. I live local to the home, in Bollington, and in my spare time I enjoy outdoor walks and playing with my children at the playground. I also enjoy reading, cooking, swimming and exploring innovative healthcare solutions through simple research and documentations.

I have worked at Mount Hall for 29 years. Before this job, I worked as a district nurse in Manchester. I love being a nurse because I'm able to give care to others and make residents smile, and the team I work with always gives 100% every day.
I have been married for 38 years, and have two grown-up sons. In my spare time, I enjoy eating out trying new food and going away on holiday with my family - my husband and sons are my world!

I have worked in this role for Bupa for 14 years. I commenced nursing training in 1975 at Withington Hospital, Manchester. After I qualified, I spent many years working in hospitals, specialising in accident & emergency and orthopaedics.
My favourite part about my job is looking after residents and being part of a great team.
I have 4 children, now all grown up! And two grandchildren - outside of work I love spending time with my family.

I have worked for Bupa for 21 years. Previous to that, I have worked in a private school and the building trade as a property developer.
I love working in the care sector as no 2 days are the same! Doing all I can for the residents and working with a good and friendly team is what I love about working here.
In my spare time, I enjoy spending time with my partner, Angie and love cooking fancy meals. I also have a keen interest in cars.
