Whenever I visit the home I always receive a friendly greeting, all the staff are pleasant and well turned out. They are always ready to discuss/help with any problems or queries I have - nothing seems to be too much trouble for them. My husband is well cared for, kept clean and tidy and well nourished. The activities are well thought out and provide mental stimulation. There is always plenty of encouragement to participate in events and activities. Overall, I am quite satisfied with the home and my husband's treatment.
Thank you for taking the time to leave your review. It is always nice to hear from family members feeling like their loved one is cared for and looked after. Please let us know if there is anything we can do to make your husband's stay as comfortable as possible.
I cannot think of a better place for my mother to be. She is looked after with such care and attention. The staff are attentive and supportive of her needs. They take the time to get to know needs, wishes and feelings. Very supportive of family members and informative to support the care process. Thank you for all you do.
Thank you for your lovely review. It is always nice to hear words like “attentive” and “supportive” being used to describe our care. Please let us know if there is anything we can do to make your mother's stay as comfortable as possible.
Any adjustment to her life has been smooth and efficient.
This is as good as it gets.
Thank you for your feedback. We are glad to help you and your family through such a difficult time. We hope to continue providing your mother with the best possible care.
Beautiful views and garden, watching creatures great and small.
Enjoy the activities more than enough.
All the staff work hard and make me happy.
My favourite thing to do here is go outside in the garden.
Thank you for doing everything.
We appreciate you taking the time to leave us your comments. We are happy to hear you feel like a part of our Mount Hall family. Please let us know if there is anything else we can do to make your stay as comfortable as possible.
I spent twelve days at Mount Hall Care Home in my recuperation, following a knee replacement. Although there were occasional 'hiccups' and small lapses, these were no more than might be expected in a complex organisation using many staff and treating clients, many with complex needs. Overall, the standard of care shown to me was very high quality. The staff were courteous, friendly and efficient and I enjoyed my stay at Mount Hall. It helped in promoting an effective recovery after a difficult operation.
Thank you for taking the time to leave your kind review. It is always nice to hear from previous residents feeling like they were cared for and looked after. Hopefully, you will go away from this feeling like you received the best possible care and thank you for choosing Mount Hall for your stay.
We cannot praise the staff at Mount Hall Care Home enough for the care given to my mother-in-law during the last few weeks of her life. She was treated with kindness, care and with dignity and compassion by everyone. Excellent care, beautiful setting, wonderful staff.
Thank you for taking the time to leave your lovely review. We are sorry for your loss. We were very happy to hear you can felt at ease with your mother in our care and we are glad to help you and your family through such a difficult time. Hopefully you will go away from this feeling like your mother received the best possible care.
Came to visit my friend that resides at Mount Hall on Saturday. Such a great atmosphere. She always says how wonderful the staff are and how much is always going on. We were all treated to afternoon tea for the Coronation, which was super and a glass of bubbles to boot.
Thank you for your lovely review. We are happy to hear you feel like a part of our Mount Hall family after your Coronation weekend visit. Please let us know if there is anything we can do to make friends stay as comfortable as possible. We look forward to seeing you again soon.
After Covid I feel that the home has declined in as much as the food, overall cleanliness and attention to detail has slipped, all the original staff have left and the void I feel has been filled largely by agency staff. I understand that this is largely unavoidable, but several times I have had to mention Mum's dirty room. She herself seems content which is good but there is room for improvement.
Thank you for your feedback and we have discussed your feedback with the home’s manager to help them continually improve their service. We are sorry that you feel the standards have slipped following covid at Mount Hall. However, the home has confirmed that they have a full team of Bupa staff...
The nursing staff were very good in caring for my parents. However, I got the impression that the home is generally understaffed which gave rise to a number of issues. Meal times were irregular with the afternoon meal often being around 16h30 after lunch at 13h30. A menu choice was not always provided and even when it was, they often received the incorrect meal. The food was sometimes cold.
My father has to be washed and dressed and sometimes he was left in bed until late morning.
Washing of clothes was taking a week with many items seemingly going missing.
In general, the above issues notwithstanding, my parents were well-cared for during their stay (they have now moved to a home in another part of the country).
All the staff are outstanding, the food is superb, the cleanliness is fantastic, the rooms are exquisite, the surrounding setting is so peaceful and all in all, you will not get all these ticks in the box at any other home, rest assured, I've done the research!
Mount Hall Residential Care Home is awesome and this can be contributed in large to the excellent home manager, who is so passionate in the way she runs it and how she maintains high standards throughout.
What are you waiting for, make the call!
Thank you for your kind words. We are very happy to hear you can feel so at ease now having your Mum in our home and hope to continue providing her with the best care possible.
On the whole an agreeable stay to get me back on my feet and able to go home.
Thank you for taking the time to leave your review. We are very happy to hear the home did everything possible to make the transition as easy as possible for your recovery. Thank you for choosing Mount Hall for your stay.
Throughout the week there is a range of activities, crafts, music entertainment, visits, and enjoyable therapy animal sessions.
The nursing team know the residents very well and do an excellent job.
All of this loving care at Mounthall Care Home, in a beautiful rural Cheshire setting with breathtaking views.
Mum is very happy and a huge thank you to all the staff.
Thank you for your lovely review. It is always nice to hear words like "outstanding" being used to describe our care and it is always nice to hear from family members feeling like their loved one is cared for and looked after. Please let us know if there is anything we can do to make your Mum's stay as comfortable as possible.
My sister has been so happy to spend her last weeks being cared for at Mount Hall Care Home. The house is set in well-kept, mostly lawned, gardens surrounded by fields. It is relatively small and has a welcoming, intimate feeling about it, exactly what my sister and I were looking for. Being able to bring favourite items of furniture made her lovely en-suite room feel instantly more like home and on moving-in day, everyone went out of their way to help my sister settle in. The care she has received has been excellent and as her illness has progressed all the staff have been unfailingly kind and caring, treating her with dignity and cheerfulness. I have felt much reassured that my sister is happy and is in exactly the right place. The bottom line is my sister (and I) feel we could not have made a better choice for her than Mount Hall.
Thank you for your lovely review. It is always nice to hear words like 'kind' and 'caring' being used to describe our care and it is always nice to hear from family members feeling like their loved one is cared for and looked after. Please let us know if there is anything we can do to make your sister's stay as comfortable as possible.
My dad spent his last few months in Mount Hall. What a beautiful and serene place it is, surrounded by nature and lovely grounds. Before he was too ill, Dad was able to join in with activities; going to Shrigley Hall for afternoon tea with Mum and other residents; he enjoyed the Jubilee celebrations, particularly the Samba band! As Dad was a great reader, the activities organiser went out of her way to get books to match his interests, and encouraged him to join in with activities. All the staff were brilliant, particularly in Dad's last few weeks, both with him and with the family. They were caring, supportive and empathetic and made every effort to help us all deal with Dad's illness and passing, I cannot thank them enough.
We appreciate you taking the time to leave us your review. It is really nice to hear that your dad was encouraged to get involved in the activities at Mount Hall before he became too ill and that the staff were caring and supportive not only for your dad but to you and the family as well. Thank you...
I stayed at Mount Hall Care Home for one week after having a hip replacement. The staff were welcoming and my room was nice. During my stay, my medication was monitored and dispensed exactly as prescribed. I was given as much help as I required and all the staff were friendly.
Thank you for your review. We are happy to have been able to look after you following your surgery and aid your recovery. Thank you for choosing us for your care.
My stay was very pleasant and the staff very attentive to make me comfortable.
Thank you for choosing us to care for you, we really appreciate your feedback.
It is a real relief that things at Mount Hall are beginning to feel a lot more normal now that most of the Covid restrictions are relaxed. It is such a tranquil place in its rural setting and it was good to see some residents once again having tea outside on a sunny May afternoon when I arrived to visit my dad. Staff are so friendly and kind and they not only understand Dad's care needs but appreciate his character very well. His abilities to join in activities are very limited now but he is encouraged to participate when he can and his interest in books and reading are well supported. I am always able to go away reassured that he is well cared for in a lovely place.
Thank you for taking the time to write us a review. We are happy to hear that your find it reassuring that your dad is being well cared for at Mount Hall. Thank you again for your kindness.
I phone every night and am always answered by cheerful staff. Have also had a couple of recent visits. Very pleased we chose this care home. Mum is well looked after and is happy. We also like to see pictures on social media.
We appreciate you taking the time to leave us your comments, it is lovely to hear that you feel your mum is well looked after in our home and that you like to see what we have been upto on our social media. Please let us know if there is anything we can do to make your mum's stay as comfortable as possible.
She has a lovely room with her own en-suite and pretty views over the garden and fields. Each time we speak she tells me how contented she is and how kind and helpful the staff are. She has participated in various activities in the lounge and enjoys socialising.
During the past Covid times I have had regular video calls with Mum and the staff have organised these.
I would definitely recommend Mount Hall as it is a caring environment with kind and helpful staff.
We appreciate you taking the time to leave us your comments. It is lovely to hear that your mum has settled well into our care home and calls it home. It is nice to hear that your mum feels our staff are kind and helpful. Thank you for your recommendation.
They offered regular video calls during the periods that the home was closed to visitors, and this was invaluable to both my dad and my family.
All the staff have been very friendly and welcoming towards us all since Dad came to Mount Hall in December 2021, particularly caring towards my 86-year-old mum, who visits regularly.
Now Covid restrictions have been lifted for activities, I would be interested to hear what the home is planning in the upcoming months.
Thank you to everyone at Mount Hall for your continued care.
Thank you for taking the time to leave your review. We are glad to hear that you were reassured by the safety policies put in place during the pandemic and also that we did everything we could to keep you in touch with your Dad. I will ask our activities coordinator to update both you and your Dad about the activity schedule and see what he may enjoy doing. Thank you again for your feedback.

Meet the Team (5)

My first role in Bupa was as a staff nurse, then unit manager, before progressing to clinical deputy manager and then home manager in June 2024.
I qualified as a Registered nurse in Ghana in 2002. I have previous experience of working in the NHS and as a haemodialysis nurse for a private dialysis company. The bulk of my experience has however been working in care homes in a variety of roles. Although I have pursued other career ambitions, my passion for working with the elderly always brought me back to the sector.
I love working here as it means so much to me to be part of a supportive team that continuously strives to be world class in the care in the we deliver, through meaningful engagement with residents, their families and staff.
I am a mother of four and in my spare time I and enjoy spending time with my family. The highlight of my weekend is cheering on my little boy and budding footballer at the touchline. I have a passion for fully committing to everything I do both professionally and in my personal life. I enjoy being support to others in any way I can.

I am a registered adult nurse with over 13 years experience. My nursing journey started in Nigeria, where I earned my bachelor’s degree in nursing. Following this, I moved to the UK where I obtained a level 5 management in health and social care. My interest in the care home sector grew from my passion for providing high quality, person-centred care. Working in this environment has allowed me to blend my clinical expertise with leadership, ensuring that care is both compassionate and efficient.
What I enjoy most about working in the care sector, is the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on people’s lives every day and the relationships I build with residents, relatives and the care team. The care home environment fosters deep connections, and I appreciate the trust that residents place in us. I am also passionate about self and professional development; I'm currently studying for a masters degree in nursing at the University of Sunderland to further develop my clinical and leadership skills, contributing to evidence-based nursing practice for a better service delivery in the care sector.
Family is a huge part of my life. I am a proud mum of two children - my eldest is 4 and his little sister is 1. I live local to the home, in Bollington, and in my spare time I enjoy outdoor walks and playing with my children at the playground. I also enjoy reading, cooking, swimming and exploring innovative healthcare solutions through simple research and documentations.

I have worked at Mount Hall for 29 years. Before this job, I worked as a district nurse in Manchester. I love being a nurse because I'm able to give care to others and make residents smile, and the team I work with always gives 100% every day.
I have been married for 38 years, and have two grown-up sons. In my spare time, I enjoy eating out trying new food and going away on holiday with my family - my husband and sons are my world!

I have worked in this role for Bupa for 14 years. I commenced nursing training in 1975 at Withington Hospital, Manchester. After I qualified, I spent many years working in hospitals, specialising in accident & emergency and orthopaedics.
My favourite part about my job is looking after residents and being part of a great team.
I have 4 children, now all grown up! And two grandchildren - outside of work I love spending time with my family.

I have worked for Bupa for 21 years. Previous to that, I have worked in a private school and the building trade as a property developer.
I love working in the care sector as no 2 days are the same! Doing all I can for the residents and working with a good and friendly team is what I love about working here.
In my spare time, I enjoy spending time with my partner, Angie and love cooking fancy meals. I also have a keen interest in cars.
