My wife had one week's respite care and I was impressed by the facilities and generally good feeling within the home. I only briefly experienced the home but my family who visited were all happy with the care and the staff's friendly attitude.
Thank you for taking the time to leave your review. We hope to see you again in the future.
Well looked after. All the staff are very pleasant.
Mum and Dad have settled into this wonderful place. Their rooms are lovely and spacious. Dad can sit and never get tired of his view and Mum loves the beech trees outside. I never fear for them these days. I know their every need is looked after. They have their privacy but there are always staff on hand to assist. The home is beautifully decorated and kept. There's a real welcoming feel when you arrive. The manager has a real handle on things and is always willing to assist care staff. Mount Hall is a quiet place where the very sick are nurtured. However, it is far from gloomy and there are lots of laughs. Mum recently had her 93rd birthday - what a splendid day we had. The best birthday for a long time. When my sister and I first arrived at Mount Hall, we sat outside and said, 'this is the right place' and so it is. Full marks for homeliness, dignity, warmth and overall care.
We really appreciate your lovely comments and thank you for trusting us with your parents care.
The home itself is set in beautiful woodland surroundings, with fantastic views and places to walk, be pushed in a wheelchair or just to sit out in the fresh air. Unfortunately, the sun not so easily granted!
I would wholeheartedly recommend Mount Hall to anybody who is considering residential care.
Thank you for taking the time to leave such a lovely review. We really appreciate your feedback and please let us know if there is anything else we can do for you or your family.
I was given a beautiful ground floor room with a lovely view in which I felt very comfortable. All my friends who visited me were highly impressed by my situation and their own encounters with the staff. I would not hesitate to recommend Mount Hall to anyone who needed care and support and I think this home and its staff deserve top marks in all areas.
Thank you for taking the time to leave such a review. We are very happy to hear you are settled in and feel like a part of our Mount Hall family. Please let us know if there is anything else we can do to make you more comfortable.
Mount Hall has offered a life-changing experience for my Aunt. She was withdrawn and introverted when she went into Mount Hall just over 2 years ago. The staff at Mount Hall have been fabulous and tailored the care for my Aunt so she enjoyed the final stage of her life. The administrative support and assistance given by the staff at Mount Hall also made things much easier for myself and family.
Thank you for your kind words. We are saddened to hear about your loss and hope Mount Hall did everything possible to make your aunt comfortable. Thank you for trusting us with her care.
Everyone from the manager to the cleaners puts kindness and care first in all their dealings. This cannot be guaranteed elsewhere and at Mount Hall it is evident from the first impressions to end-of-life.
Thank you for such a lovely review.
Only stayed for 14 days recoupment from 3 weeks in the hospital. Would have liked some simple exercises or possibility for swimming. Lovely surroundings and good for walking.
Thank you for your feedback. We will certainly take your comments on board. Hopefully you made a full recovery and please visit us soon.
All the staff and management provided an excellent standard of care for my mother who was at Mount Hall for 8 weeks. Her end of life care was outstanding and the staff were both extremely caring and sensitive.
Thank you for taking the time to leave your review. We are saddened to hear about your loss. Hopefully, you can go away from this feeling like your mother received the best possible care.
From 1st phone call, Mount Hall staff were fabulous in helping to get my 88-year-old mother out of hospital and into Mount Hall for a respite week (for us and her) and the week she spent here couldn't have been more caring. The staff are wonderful and my mother is consistently happy.
Thank you for such a lovely review. We are happy to hear your mother is enjoying her care. It is always nice to hear from family members feeling at ease with their loved one in our care.
Smiling, competent (underpaid!) staff who do their best to satisfy residents and family wishes. Residents personal hygiene is excellent, rooms and buildings clean and sweet smelling.
Thank you for your kind words, Benjamin. We are glad to hear you feel like your loved one is looked after. We are grateful you chose to trust us with your loved ones care.
Always cheerful and helpful.
Home always spotless and clean.
Food is a very high standard.
All our family are treated with respect and are always honest.
Thank you for your kind words. It is always nice to hear words like “Cheerful” and “Helpful” being used to describe our care. We hope to continue providing our residents with the best possible care.
Exceptional care given to my father. All members of staff were supportive and caring. Mount Hall is a pristine care home, set in beautiful surroundings. I always felt very welcome to visit whatever time I wanted to. I highly recommend this care home.
Thank you for your kind words. It is always nice to hear words like “Supportive” and “Caring” being used to describe our care. We are looking forward to seeing you again.
My mum has been resident at Mount Hall since July 2018. It was an emotional but realistic decision to make Mount Hall her home so that her needs could be met 24 hrs a day and near to family. It will never be home but everyday mum has received compassionate care from all staff that meets her needs but does not undermine her individuality or capacity to express opinions. Every day staff listen and respond. Every day mum's life is safe and happy.
Thank you for your kind words. Thank you for choosing Mount Hall for your mum's care. We hope we did everything we can to make the transition as easy as possible and hope to continue providing your loved one with the best possible care.
Pay them more!

My stay here has been 1st class. I have been well fed and cared for.
Very satisfied with the overall experience at Mount Hall. Friendly caring staff and well looked after.
A first impression on entering the home for the first time was overwhelming of a care home with excellent standards. The friendly welcome and caring nature of the staff was surprising and the care that was taken to ensure the comfort of my friend (the new resident) was second to none. Since that day, my opinion has only grown better and I believe that you would have to travel a long way to find better. The whole enterprise is well kept, neat and tidy, well furnished and the staff appear happy and contended. The new receptionist is a perfect complement to the managers good management.
Thank you for your review of Mount Hall Care Home. We are pleased to hear that you have had a positive experience with the home and appreciate your comments regarding the staff being caring and welcoming. We will share all of your comments with the home manager. The Bupa Customer Care Team.
A very pleasant atmosphere. Clean and tidy, well mannered and helpful staff. Good activities programme and good quality meals with choice options. A very approachable manager who is proactive in the day to day running of the care home.
The Bupa Customer care Team.
My mother is very happy there, she has a lovely room and is very well looked after.
Very good manager. Food good, overall, I cannot fault the home.

Meet the Team (5)

My first role in Bupa was as a staff nurse, then unit manager, before progressing to clinical deputy manager and then home manager in June 2024.
I qualified as a Registered nurse in Ghana in 2002. I have previous experience of working in the NHS and as a haemodialysis nurse for a private dialysis company. The bulk of my experience has however been working in care homes in a variety of roles. Although I have pursued other career ambitions, my passion for working with the elderly always brought me back to the sector.
I love working here as it means so much to me to be part of a supportive team that continuously strives to be world class in the care in the we deliver, through meaningful engagement with residents, their families and staff.
I am a mother of four and in my spare time I and enjoy spending time with my family. The highlight of my weekend is cheering on my little boy and budding footballer at the touchline. I have a passion for fully committing to everything I do both professionally and in my personal life. I enjoy being support to others in any way I can.

I am a registered adult nurse with over 13 years experience. My nursing journey started in Nigeria, where I earned my bachelor’s degree in nursing. Following this, I moved to the UK where I obtained a level 5 management in health and social care. My interest in the care home sector grew from my passion for providing high quality, person-centred care. Working in this environment has allowed me to blend my clinical expertise with leadership, ensuring that care is both compassionate and efficient.
What I enjoy most about working in the care sector, is the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on people’s lives every day and the relationships I build with residents, relatives and the care team. The care home environment fosters deep connections, and I appreciate the trust that residents place in us. I am also passionate about self and professional development; I'm currently studying for a masters degree in nursing at the University of Sunderland to further develop my clinical and leadership skills, contributing to evidence-based nursing practice for a better service delivery in the care sector.
Family is a huge part of my life. I am a proud mum of two children - my eldest is 4 and his little sister is 1. I live local to the home, in Bollington, and in my spare time I enjoy outdoor walks and playing with my children at the playground. I also enjoy reading, cooking, swimming and exploring innovative healthcare solutions through simple research and documentations.

I have worked at Mount Hall for 29 years. Before this job, I worked as a district nurse in Manchester. I love being a nurse because I'm able to give care to others and make residents smile, and the team I work with always gives 100% every day.
I have been married for 38 years, and have two grown-up sons. In my spare time, I enjoy eating out trying new food and going away on holiday with my family - my husband and sons are my world!

I have worked in this role for Bupa for 14 years. I commenced nursing training in 1975 at Withington Hospital, Manchester. After I qualified, I spent many years working in hospitals, specialising in accident & emergency and orthopaedics.
My favourite part about my job is looking after residents and being part of a great team.
I have 4 children, now all grown up! And two grandchildren - outside of work I love spending time with my family.

I have worked for Bupa for 21 years. Previous to that, I have worked in a private school and the building trade as a property developer.
I love working in the care sector as no 2 days are the same! Doing all I can for the residents and working with a good and friendly team is what I love about working here.
In my spare time, I enjoy spending time with my partner, Angie and love cooking fancy meals. I also have a keen interest in cars.
