Mum has just come back from her second visit the staff are all extremely kind and caring everybody made an effort to ensure mums stay was comfortable
we are looking at booking mum in again in august knowing that she will be looked after which also gives us peace of mind that she will be safe in the
hands of the staff at bucklow manor

My husband was very apprehensive about his first stay in a care home (for respite) and for several days was unsettled. After that, he settled in very well, the staff could not have been kinder and were very vigilant about his needs and the regularity of his medication. They were extremely kind and thoughtful
and made his birthday a really special occasion. I cannot praise them enough.

Mum has been here for over 4 years now. She will be 100 in a few weeks and is looking forward to a party and a glass of fizz.
I am happy that she is being cared for very well. Although her Vasular Dementia means that her needs are complex, Mum receives care that is tailored to her needs. There
is no way that I could offer her the care she required, at home. There are plenty of activities for the residents. The food is great and the atmosphere is warm and friendly.

I think, Bucklow Manor Care Home is a good home. Very caring, clean home. Mother is not so keel about being here, but I think its what she needs.

I have visited this home several times and have always been made welcome by friendly caring staff. Any questions or concerns have always been dealt with satisfactorily. The home has a warm, welcoming feeling and the staff are pleasant and approachable. The residents are well presented, wearing matching
and suitable clothes. This is important because in other homes, I have noticed no care has been given to this factor.

I transferred my mum from another home and I could not have been happier with the care she received at Bucklow Manor Care Home during her illness and subsequent death. The staff were kind and attentive, she was incredibly well looked after. The communication with the home was exceptional - to her family
members as well as medical professionals. Mum was very happy there and it was such a relief to be able to visit and be made to feel welcome. Thank you.

I am still "fairly new" to having my husband in care, it certainly is life-changing. The feeling of guilt never quite goes away.
I know that he is cared for well at Bucklow Manor Care Home and that helps.
The staff seem to be extremely caring, always have time to chat and advise on any concerns I
may have.

My dad was cared for in Bucklow Manor in May this year for a week's respite.
I found the whole experience to be a high standard. Staff were lovely to my dad and the atmosphere was always welcoming.

Very welcoming of our mum into the home. Very helpful with the moving day.
Mum has said she is very happy there and always seems content when we visit.
She said the food is nice. She likes the gardens.

I visit my friend at Bucklow Manor and always receive a very warm welcome. The staff are wonderful and give all the residents lots of attention and care. The manager and senior staff are very visible in the home and are always available to answer any questions I have. In short, this is a truly remarkable

My uncle has only been in Bucklow Manor for a month or so, but so far, I have been very impressed with the quality of care he has received. The staff are always friendly and welcoming. Nothing is too much trouble, and the admin is exceptionally good. They have dealt with appointments and always keep
me up to date with anything happening with him.

The environment is welcoming, with lovely gardens, and the design inside is well organised for the residents to be kept safe and able to move around. The staff are lovely and extremely hardworking, and the bedrooms are kept clean and tidy. The help and support my mum has received so far has been excellent.
The management takes time to listen and understand anything I have talked to them about. Overall, in my eyes, offers a very high level of care.

Job Title: Registered Home Manager Joined: 2016

I have worked in the care sector for 39 years, mainly with older people. I have worked for Springcare for nearly 9 years as the registered manager at Bucklow Manor. I have worked for numerous organisations over the years in different capacities, such as a senior support worker and healthcare assistant. I have been a registered home manager for 22 years. I am passionate about the continual improvement and growth of the services that I manage.


My hobbies are spending time with my family, holidays, and my beautiful French Bulldog, Princess Lulu.


I would say the best thing about being a registered manager is the diversity of the role and being able to give back to the older generation.


The one piece of advice I would give to someone starting their career in care is to take every day as it comes; every day is different
