My husband recently passed away having suffered from many complex medical conditions. I would like to take this opportunity to thank the entire staff at Sharston House for the unstinting professional care they gave to him and to our whole family. Words cannot express my gratitude for the competent and compassionate way in which his complex needs were met, physical, medical and emotional. Thank you to everyone for your kindness and empathy and especially to one member of staff who leads by example.

Mum has been in Sharston for just over two years now. We visit several times a week and have always been made welcome. Mum has been well cared for from the day that she arrived. The staff have all been 100% professional, they know their patients quirks and preferences and always treat them with respect and dignity and keep us well informed. I feel very confident that we chose the right place for Mum and am happy to recommend Sharston.

"International womans day" and "mothers day" what a delight it was to commemorate both the above occasions at Shawston House. The staff worked hard to ensure that visitors and residents enjoyed both afternoons. The chef and kitchen staff provided a great variety of food to enchant the eye and palate! We also had the pleasure of chatting to our local MP on womans day as she joined in with the fun! Many thanks to all involved.

My Mother recently celebrated her 100th Birthday at Sharston House we used the Tea Room which was just perfect for a small family and friends gathering The home provided a delicious afternoon tea for everyone with Chef even baking a fantastic cake and making some of my mothers favourite foods the room was "dressed" and there was even a happy Birthday video produced with photos of my mother from the past which we had provided. It was a super day and the staff and management were as usual all very friendly and obliging.

My mum has been here 15 months and the care she receives is excellent. The staff are consistently caring and as they are permanent this greatly help Mum feel safe and has built some lasting relationships which gives us as a family reassurance that when we're not with her she is haooy. The level of activity is amazing, with new activities and current affairs taken into account.

Sharston House was a godsend for us finding a care home for my mum. I knew on first meeting the lovely staff and looking round that it would be perfect and I was right. The nurses and all the staff in the kitchen and laundry are so wonderful. Special mention must be given to 5 members of staff in particular for their beautiful, caring, detailed attentions and nursing expertise. When I heard Mum say 'I'm so lucky to be here', I was very glad. The atmosphere and the room are very nice and I can recommend the home fully.

Friendly welcome when you enter Sharston House, no sooner have you sat down with your relative you are offered a drink. The building albeit quite an old house has been adapted very well to suit the needs of the residents. There is a pleasant aroma around the nursing home quite different from the majority. Food is excellent with a choice for the residents at most meal times. The bedrooms are bright and well equipped, residents are encouraged to bring in their own pictures, ornament etc. A wide variety of entertainment, particularity these past two week celebrating Christmas. All in all a pleasant environment to have a relative/friend living here. Would highly recommend Sharston House

The care staff at Sharston House are excellent. They greet visitors by name and are so welcoming. They are very patient when dealing with residents and take time to ensure their needs are looked after.
They seem to work so well together as a team.

Although the property is a Victorian house rather than a purpose-built building, I feel this makes it far more homely and has a better atmosphere than a modern building. This was a great help when settling in my mother-in-law when she first arrived and continues to be a benefit to this day.

My parents are both 98 years old, nearly 99 and have been married for 77 years. There was a period of difficulties for my parents settling into the new location. They live together in a large double bedroom, small lounge, and ensuite. My Father has an assisted bed and they both enjoy a bright, happy room with family pictures displayed on the walls. The care and support my parents receive is of the highest standard. This results in my family and myself being relaxed and happy knowing my parents are receiving the best possible care and support.

My parents began their stay in a pleasant double room complete with an ensuite. We did request additional grab rails for safety in the bathroom which were fitted. My Mother died 5 weeks after admittance.
My Father remained in the double room but moved to a single room as it was too expensive to maintain. Took my Father a few weeks to settle.

Some issues which we have mentioned e.g. H&S of bathroom. We have other concerns that we will bring up at the next residential meeting on 25/09/24.

I was told that following a knee operation because I lived alone I would not be able to go home so needed somewhere to stay for two weeks.
