This included the full refurbishment of bedrooms, redecoration of the lounge and dining areas, treatment room and hair salon, as well as a brand-new café bar.

I cannot thank all the staff at Dove Court Burnley Nightingale enough for the kindness, care and love they showed my mother. They helped her settle at Dove Court, her health and wellbeing improved. Everyone bent over backwards for her and also in the support for the family. The reception administration
staff were warm and welcoming, her room was lovely, the care staff delivered a high standard of care, the activities team, the maintenance team, the laundry staff, the catering staff were all there every day right to my mum passing away. Thank you.

Lovely home, mum settled here very quickly.Food lovely, very clean. All the staff are very pleasant and kind. Everyday activities are taking place and its always lovely to see people sat outside in the sun. The gardens are lovely and well kept. Can see that everyone at the home takes a lot of pride
in their work and in the home.

My wife has been a resident on the Kingfisher unit since June 2024 and the change in her behaviour has been fantastic compared to when she first moved in.
All the staff are brilliant, compassionate, friendly and have the patience of saints. But talking about this month, I would just like to comment
on Valentine's day dinner. The tables were laid out. Great, the service and the food were excellent.
Congratulations to all the staff and chefs on a good day out.

Mum is very happy in the home. The staff are kind and caring. The only problem she has is the food - mum is used to eating a varied diet and finds chips with everything unusual! We realise that its difficult to care for everyone but I do think the Dietician needs to review the food they are serving.
I believe the food is directed from Head Office. The only other problem is the heat, it seems odd having to open windows so that it cools the room down, perhaps lowering the heat by 1 or 2 degrees it would save you money as well.

Our menus are devised by HC-One nutritional experts to ensure they are varied; we would be happy to go through these with you. The people we care for choose daily what they want to eat, and chips are on offer as part of our alternative menu for those who do not want the two main choices on offer as well as sandwiches, salads, omelettes, baked potatoes and various pies. We apologise you feel the heating is too high; this is thermostatically controlled and depends on the ambient temperature of the home. Our maintenance team does regular checks on our heating and boiler, which are also serviced regularly by our contractors. We will request our maintenance team check the radiator in your mother's bedroom to ensure the valve is operating correctly.

Recently spent Valentine's Day with my wife. It was really lovely being able to have a meal with her and that the staff supported this. The staff had decorated the table nicely and made it special. Visited Burnley for a few days to see my very good friend who has recently joined Dove Court. Very happy with the room, clean and tidy and well presented. Lovely people who genuinely care and are very welcoming 'Burger Day' activities taking place, lots of laughter, the staff joining in which was nice
to see. Relaxed atmosphere but caring.

Our mum seems to have settled in very well. She enjoys interacting with the staff and she always looks well cared for which puts our minds at rest. She is happy in herself and thankfully she is easily distracted when she gets upset about her husband (our dad who died last summer). She enjoys the activities
that are on offer, bingo, guess the song etc.

I have just joined my husband for a Valentine meal. It was lovely. The table was tastefully decorated as was the room. The staff waited on us completely. They had even brought my husband down on a wheelchair so he was waiting for me. We went back to his room, staff pushing him and I walked. They are
so helpful and pleasant. Whenever I go to visit him, he is always clean-shaven and sensibly dressed, he appears to be well looked after and now I am feeling better I can go at least once a week.

The care provided is outstanding. The staff are so comforting and accommodating. It is a modern, clean and well-equipped home with a fantastic management team that has reassured me at every step of my partner's care. It's the biggest care home in Burnley, I believe, so to get such a highly personalised
and dedicated level of care with the number of residents they have there is outstanding and I've had dealings with a few different providers locally that can't provide the level of care we needed like Dove Court has. This care home is the template from which all care homes should be run!

Following a short stay in hospital my mother had to be moved into end-of-life care at a nursing home. Our only other experience of having a relative in a nursing home was many years ago and far from positive so we were apprehensive about this move for Mum. Well, Robin House at Dove Court soon allayed
all our fears. From the first visit where my daughters viewed the accommodation and chose the room we wanted her to have along with a comprehensive chat with a senior staff member about her care needs. When Mum moved in all the staff were warm & welcoming, going out of their way to make Mum feel comfortable and any equipment identified as being required was quickly in place. We, as a family, really cannot sing the praises high enough of everyone involved in Mum's care as she was treated with such compassion and dignity at the end of her life. Superb care, incredible staff, clean, calm and safe. We couldn't have picked a better place to look after Mum.

Catherine is a Registered Nurse with many years of experience in providing care and support for a wide range of people to enrich their lives. She is a committed and approachable leader who is passionate about delivering the highest possible standards in care and quality of life for Residents.


Catherine shares HC-One’s vision in aiming to provide the kindest care for each and every Resident. She uses her knowledge and experience to motivate her team to deliver care and support in a way that Residents gain the most benefit, in a warm and welcoming home.


She also works hard to arrange events and activities with nearby schools and clubs and is always keen to include the local community in life at Dove Court


When asked what she enjoys most about her role, Catherine said:
