Visited Burnley for a few days to see my very good friend who has recently joined Dove Court. Very happy with the room, clean and tidy and well presented. Lovely people who genuinely care and are very welcoming 'Burger Day' activities taking place, lots of laughter, the staff joining in which was nice to see. Relaxed atmosphere but caring.

Our mum seems to have settled in very well. She enjoys interacting with the staff and she always looks well cared for which puts our minds at rest. She is happy in herself and thankfully she is easily distracted when she gets upset about her husband (our dad who died last summer). She enjoys the activities that are on offer, bingo, guess the song etc.

I have just joined my husband for a Valentine meal. It was lovely. The table was tastefully decorated as was the room. The staff waited on us completely. They had even brought my husband down on a wheelchair so he was waiting for me. We went back to his room, staff pushing him and I walked. They are so helpful and pleasant. Whenever I go to visit him, he is always clean-shaven and sensibly dressed, he appears to be well looked after and now I am feeling better I can go at least once a week.

Overall Experience

The care provided is outstanding. The staff are so comforting and accommodating. It is a modern, clean and well-equipped home with a fantastic management team that has reassured me at every step of my partner's care. It's the biggest care home in Burnley, I believe, so to get such a highly personalised and dedicated level of care with the number of residents they have there is outstanding and I've had dealings with a few different providers locally that can't provide the level of care we needed like Dove Court has. This care home is the template from which all care homes should be run!

Overall Experience

Following a short stay in hospital my mother had to be moved into end-of-life care at a nursing home. Our only other experience of having a relative in a nursing home was many years ago and far from positive so we were apprehensive about this move for Mum. Well, Robin House at Dove Court soon allayed all our fears. From the first visit where my daughters viewed the accommodation and chose the room we wanted her to have along with a comprehensive chat with a senior staff member about her care needs. When Mum moved in all the staff were warm & welcoming, going out of their way to make Mum feel comfortable and any equipment identified as being required was quickly in place. We, as a family, really cannot sing the praises high enough of everyone involved in Mum's care as she was treated with such compassion and dignity at the end of her life. Superb care, incredible staff, clean, calm and safe. We couldn't have picked a better place to look after Mum.

The care towards Mum also extended towards family and visitors, nothing was too much trouble. When it came to end of life care, Mum was made comfortable and pain-free, the staff gave us time and space but were on hand when needed. The staff in Robin House are a credit to Dove Court! I cannot thank them enough.

The care my husband had for just short of 12 months has been above and beyond more than I would have thought. All the staff are great it's like being part of a family. The staff are so hard working to make it a great experience whilst visited. As a family we are happy knowing he's in the best care. 12/10.
