The Old Vicarage is an outstanding care provider. The food is all home cooked with a good delicious variety on a daily basis. Residents rooms are large and comfortable and kept spotlessly clean.
The quality of care is second to none and is definitely the USP for the Old Vicarage. The staff care for the residents with love and respect as though they are their own relatives.

I personally witness on a daily basis, the patience, kindness and love the amazing fantastic staff give to the residents. The most important thing for our family is that we can sleep easy in the knowledge that my Dad is being cared for with the same love and respect as what we would provide at home.

All the staff, from maintenance, cleaners, carers, night staff, kitchen and laundry and nurses are all remarkable.
Without their compassion, kindness and thoughtfulness, our family could not have endured the emotional trauma of watching Dad's deterioration.

I will be forever grateful to all the staff. They are all angels, doing one of the most difficult jobs in the world.

My Dad spent two and half years at the The Old Vicarage and I could not have asked for a better place. The staff work really hard to ensure the residents feel at home and there is always some activity for them to participate in. Unfortunately, he passed away in July and the care and support I received during that time was stupendous. It was arranged so that Dad could be brought out of hospital and nursed in his final days by the staff who knew him and cared deeply for him-what more could any family ask for. I have no hesitation in recommending The Old Vicarage to anyone considering a care home for their relative.

What a beautiful home, words cannot express how kind and caring the staff are! It has such a warm, homely and friendly feel to it.

As soon as you walk through the front door, you are greeted by the friendly banter from two staff members in particular. They are always there ready to make you smile and nothing is ever too much trouble for these two ladies. The friendliness radiates throughout the home and all the staff.....far too many to mention.

I love the transformation of the library into a tearoom.....just makes that visit a bit more special!

My Aunt is truly well cared for and most importantly, she is happy. I can't thank the staff enough for their efforts.

Just wanted to say how pleased and grateful I am for the care being given to my sister by all the staff. They are also lovely to me when I visit. It's been a rollercoaster ride but my sister is now settled and happy. I feel like I have been given a gold clock and am finally free from anxiety I first felt when she came to The Old Vicarage.

My dad has been at the Old Vicarage for 15 months now, and the whole family still feel like we have won the lottery of nursing homes - it is absolutely fantastic. The staff are so dedicated, and warm and loving towards the residents, treating each and every one of them with the utmost respect. The food is home cooked and always looks and smells delicious. Having looked around other homes before placing him here, it was common to see residents sitting in lounges with no staff present, but this is never the case at the Old Vic - the staff are always visible, and any questions thoroughly answered. There's a great chemistry amongst the staff, and the atmosphere is always light and cheery. The staff will go beyond the call of duty, always keep the family updated of any changes, and if the Care Plan is requested at any time, it is produced immediately - they are very transparent. Placing a loved one into a home is one of the most difficult decisions ever, but we certainly chose well.

The Old Vicarage exudes a homely atmosphere, all residents are cared for to an extremely high standard. Staff are never too busy to chat to residents and families and they go above and beyond to ensure life is comfortable and the residents remain happy. We have great peace of mind knowing that my mother's welfare and medical needs are addressed, she is only a few minutes away from us and manages to visit our house and go on excursions with us regularly. It is the best scenario we could have hoped for.

What a lovely warm and welcoming place. It's just like visiting Nanna's house.

You open the door and you are greeted with laughter and banter and that is continued throughout the building with the rest of the staff.

I love that I can get myself a coffee too.....or a cappuccino, mocha latte.....we are a bit spoiled, just like we would be visiting nanna's own home.

The staff are kind, caring and compassionate and nothing is ever too much trouble. As a family, we have no doubt that The Old Vicarage is the right choice for us.

Thank you all for everything you do.

My wife's uncle came to this home approx three months ago and I would 100% recommend it to anyone as when I have visited/spoken to him, he is always telling me about how nice the staff are and the things he has been doing in the home, such as quizzes and entertainment nights. They recently had a cheese and wine evening with a violinist and he absolutely loved it, he cannot thank the staff enough and him being happy, makes us happy.

The support and care shown by the management and staff at The Old Vicarage is excellent. They have cared for and supported my dad since his admission in July. It is a difficult transition to place your loved one into a care home but the staff have made the transition as smooth as possible.

I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this facility to anyone looking for nursing or residential care.

My dad lived at The Old Vicarage for two and a half years until he recently passed away. I am so pleased I chose for him to live here, the care he has received has been second to none. All aspects of The Old Vicarage are excellent and the staff are exceptionally dedicated and genuinely caring - it's a lovely homely atmosphere. The food provided is good quality and plentiful, my dad's medical needs have been closely monitored to keep him in the best health possible despite him being late stage Alzheimer's. There are daily activities and regular outings and events and all the staff get enthusiastically involved. I have been kept well informed of every aspect of my dad's health and care. I know the staff will really miss my dad and they all came out to wave him off as his funeral left from here which meant the world to our family..... in fact these lovely carers had become like extended family and I will always appreciate their loving care of my beloved dad.

Having made the decision to place my dad in a care home and move him from one area or another, closer to me, I knew that I had made the right choice in The Old Vicarage from day one. All the staff are dedicated, kind, considerate and caring to all residents regardless of the reasons behind their residency.

The Old Vicarage is the "residents home" and not a place of work, the evidence of which I see in my dad each time I visit. He looks so well cared for and has started to smile again!!
