Overall Experience

I am extremely happy with all aspects of care my grandfather gets from exceptional food (and the encouragement to eat!) to personal care my grandad receives. Each member of staff has bonded with him and knows who he is and his character. They are very good at communicating any concerns with us. Most importantly my grandad has dignity, he always is clean, well dressed and cared for. I think this is a wonderful nursing home. I would recommend this to anyone seeking excellent care for their loved one! (I could go on with about all they do!)

Hi, my name is Ally. I am the manager at The Old Vicarage & The Willows Care Home.

I am a qualified RGN and have been nursing since 2009.

I am very passionate about my job, and I have worked very hard to be in the position I am in. I feel very privileged to come to work every day for a job I love, work with amazing staff, and get to be a part of my residents’ lives, to care for and support the people in our care. I want to improve the lives of our residents every day, to ensure they have the best of everything.

Hi, my name is Sarah, I am the Deputy Manager at The Old Vicarage & The Willows Care Home.

I am a mum of 3 and have been married for 6 years. I love the outdoors and hike as often as I can.

I have proudly been part of the care sector since 2008, and for the most part, have been in a senior role; for a long-time supporting children and adults with Autism. My passion for care and ensuring outstanding provision alongside person-centred care goes for residents, staff, and families alike – we are one huge family and team who can achieve anything we set our sights on. I believe in openness, honesty, and progression; never resting on our laurels. If I haven’t met you yet, I look forward to it and here’s to many years of success and happiness.

Hi, my name is Jo. I am the Administrator at The Old Vicarage & The Willows Care Home.

I have been in this position since March 2022. However, I have been working in The Old Vicarage & The Willows Care Home for nearly 9 years. I started as a care assistant which then led to becoming an activities coordinator. As much as I loved both jobs, when I started, I always pictured myself as the administrator and I can now honestly say I am in the best job which I feel very passionate about!
