Abbey Grange in Sheffield provides residential, dementia and nursing care. The home is situated in the Firvale area, close to the Northern General Hospital and the celebrated Meadowhall shopping centre. Brilliant staff and always putting something on to keep residents busy also trips out, I follow their social media page and which is also kept up to date with pictures of the residents' activities on almost a weekly basis so even family members of mine who don’t go to see my mom can see what she is
up too regarding trips out and events that the home puts on

Visited my husband's elderly cousin today and had a lovely couple of hours with her along with a few other members of family. We were very comfortable in the quiet room and all the staff were very welcoming, making us all coffee. Our cousin seems very happy in the home and is very well looked after.

We were greeted by friendly staff, it was my first visit but the rest of my family were well known to the staff. They found a quiet room for us all to be together with our cousin. We had a nice, relaxed visit.

I've found all the staff to be friendly and approachable, always cheerful. The accommodation is ok, benefiting from a few personal touches of my Mom's to make it homely. Any questions we've asked have been answered, all requests considered and implemented where possible. Overall a positive experience
so far in difficult circumstances. (Mom's first stay in a care home and bearing in mind her physical condition at the moment.)

My father has been cared for by Abbey Grange Care & Nursing Home for the last two years and they understand his needs with his dementia, providing a safe, caring and friendly place. Visiting can be any time of the day and I have always found the staff very helpful. Communication between me and the staff
is very good and it is always nice to see activity photos on Facebook.

The decision for a loved one to go into a care home was taken by the hospital protocol and social service/discard team, and was a very traumatic time as we wanted her home, but couldn't get the 24-hour care. However, now she is settled, and I can go every day as it's very local, I'm very satisfied that
she is getting the best of care. Staff are all competent and friendly, and although have so much work to cover on their full shifts, they always find time to chat.

As I live abroad I was concerned as to my Mom’s, care at Abbey Grange. After my visit late last year, I felt assured and completely comforted that all the staff have the utmost respect and dedication to their clients. Thank you to all of them, it was a weight off me! Regards.

My mum was admitted to Abbey Grange in December 2020 for, initially, respite care. She has Alzheimer's and it soon became apparent that she would need residential care on a permanent basis. Since June 2021, she has deteriorated, and is now bedridden, and has lost the ability to move, walk, talk, and
can't communicate. Abbey Grange have been absolutely fantastic. The care team look after her in such a caring and professional manner. I am reassured that my mum is being cared for, especially now that she is in the later stages of Alzheimer's. I am kept informed of any changes in mum's condition and consulted before any decisions are made. I am extremely grateful that mum is being kept warm, comfortable, relatively pain-free and fed, etc. My sincere thanks go to the manager, the receptionist, and also other staff and nurses - they are all outstanding.

My mum spent her last years in Abbey Grange with Alzheimer’s and was cared for by truly amazing staff! They made her time here happy, she made a lot of friends and was looked after so well that it was comforting to see this on our many visits to see her! On mum's passing, she was treated with dignity
and respect, we can only say that the care given in her last days was excellent!

Having reached the age of 99 mum's health gradually deteriorated and after a period of hospitalisation, she was transferred to Abbey Grange to receive end of life care. Covid regulations together with living at distance from Abbey Grange made visits impossible. However, during mum's short stay we found
all of the Abbey Grange personnel to be professional, friendly and caring, providing reassurance mum was treated with respect and dignity until her passing. During these difficult times, it was comforting for all family members to know mum was receiving the best possible care.

In the short time that my mother has been a resident of this care home, she has received brilliant care. All the staff seem very knowledgeable, warm and friendly. A few of them even bought her presents on her birthday.

I can’t fault the care my father has received over the last 18 months he’s been a resident at Abbey Grange. I know how traumatic it is to make a decision for the welfare of our elderly members of the family but you’ve all gone above and beyond to help me and my family to realise I’ve done the right

She is passionate about delivering the highest standards of care to our residents. She operates an open-door policy and welcomes visits from families, friends, and visitors at any time.

Sharon is our Activity Coordinator at Abbey Grange, she is always coming up with creative ideas to keep our residents happy, occupied and entertained. We have a full weekly schedule of group activities and Sharon will get to know people individually in order to help them to continue the hobbies and pastimes that are important and meaningful to them.
