Abbey Grange Care & Nursing Home

The home always feels welcoming and the staff and management are very friendly. Always very helpful and if you have any issues they are dealt with immediately. Nothing seems too much trouble when you approach the staff for anything. When being in the home I have noticed how caring the staff are with all the residents. Would definitely recommend the care home.

I believe the care staff do the best they can but I am not convinced there are enough of them or that they are "directed" appropriately. When I want information about my father, it is difficult to get an answer without being passed around from one person to another and this is very frustrating. I worry about the stimulation of residents due to what appears to be a lack of staff to spend time individually with residents.

Extremely happy with mums care and attention. She's settled well and as happy as possible considering her condition.

The staff deal with multiple clients with dementia based conditions. They treat all clients with dignity and consideration even when clients are disruptive, argumentative and abusive.

Our Mum has recently had another fall through her determination to do things on her own even though there are things in place to alert staff when she moves. We would like to commend that carers for responding quickly, notifying medical staff and contacting me by phone. The staff are very patient and caring ans always settle Mum down when she has irritable and confusing days. She is always treated with dignity. We are always informed of any change in her health and medication, also personal needs for anything to make her as comfortable as possible.

Someone needs to clean the window sill where flowers/plants are kept.

My mum was happy in Abbey Grange. The staff were wonderful as were the management. She was made to feel relaxed and she enjoyed the banter with the staff.

The staff are lovely, they are very friendly with our family and treat my father kindly.

My husband thinks he is on holiday in a beautiful home and very happy.

My mother in law has been a resident at Abbey Grange for nine months and I have found her care to be really kind and caring and also they are very friendly to both resident's families and visitors alike.

I find Abbey Grange Nursing Home friendly, professional and accommodating. On my visits, I find the staff efficient, caring and showing empathy.

I am very grateful to all the carers. Theirs is not an easy job and they work long hours - but always seem cheerful and friendly.

Dad came in as a permanent resident in early Jan'19. He was allocated a lovely room nearby the lounge. He settled in very well and is happy, safe and very well cared for. He loves the food and says the home is very warm and clean. The staff are excellent and we always feel welcome - so friendly and genuinely caring for the residents. All in all, this gets 10/10 in our book.

The staff are hardworking, caring and compassionate and always respect my dad's dignity. Nursing care is of a very high standard and it gives our family great peace of mind to know he is so well looked after.
