First time visit. Pleasant ambience.

First visit to a care home for probably 20 years. So difficult to cross-compare standards.

This nursing home and staff are a credit to your organisation. The home is spotless, the staff are helpful, friendly and informative. As soon as you walk in you are greeted and welcomed like one of the family. The nursing and carers are fantastic. They inform you how your mum is doing.

I honestly cannot find anything to criticise this home or staff, absolutely fantastic.

During this month the staff went out of their way to make the home and all residents and visitors made to feel welcome, with smiling faces.

Nothing is too much trouble, no matter how busy they were, even inviting relatives to have Christmas lunch with their loved ones, which was a lovely Christmas Day for all.

I have been pleased with the care my Mum has received. Staff have made time for both Mum and I. They are responsible, caring and do their job well. I have found the staff pleasant to deal with, both on the nursing and admin side.

Generally the home is well staffed, clean and tidy. There is always a lovely welcome but the important thing is my dad is happy and cared for in a satisfactory way.

I cannot fault the care my dad receives. The carers look after him very well and when he is ill, they respond immediately. They are happy to care for him at home, as opposed to going to hospital which is not what we want. My only concern is that the front door is open, sometimes in the evening, and I feel that it should be locked when Reception is unmanned.

I have found everyone at Abbey Grange to be very helpful and that nothing is too much trouble. My wife has had the best of care she could have wished for. Our only wish is that she could respond to her treatment.

Staff are kind, thorough and thoughtful, and happy to talk through the care plan as my mum's needs change over time. The home itself is very light sunny and spacious, which was a big consideration for me, also easy access to M1 for relatives visiting.

Visited my mum today and she's happy where she is. All the staff are lovely, friendly, kind and look after her really well. If they have any concerns they always telephone me to keep me informed. The home is very clean and always smells lovely, not like some that I've visited. I'm very happy that my mum is well looked after. She's safe, warm, well-fed and of course happy, which makes me happy too. Well done Abbey Grange

My opinion of this care home is that it is one of the best. My mother was in a care home and I thought of that one as being very good, this one is way above that one. My husband is very well looked after.

Mum has been at Abbey Grange since April 2016. She has settled in nicely and all the staff have been wonderful. The accommodation is spacious and well decorated and they have a good activities programme (even though mum can't take part in many). The meals are nutritious and look appetising and care and dignity is always shown.

My auntie appears to be looked after very well. She has a stent in her throat due to cancer and the food she is given suits her condition. All staff are very approachable and helpful and if you do have any questions to ask they take time to explain things fully.
