Darnall Grange EMI Nursing Home, in Sheffield, is a specialist residential and dementia care facility that employs a skilled and friendly care team and adheres to recognised standards.

Staff are so committed to caring for residents with such kindness, understanding and empathy. They continued to keep residents safe from Covid using appropriate PPE and following the rules to keep them safe.
Communication with relatives is such an important part, caring for residents with dementia
and Darnall Grange has been amazing throughout my father's stay.

Mum was in for respite for a week. When I brought my mum she didn't want to stay but the staff persuaded her to go in for a drink, she went. As soon as she went in she was happy to stay. I phoned every day and Mum sounded happy and full of life, every day she said she loved it and the food was brilliant,
she came out with her hair done in plaits. Mum will definitely be coming back. Thank you.

A really outstanding care home, my mother was very happy in the 3 years she spent there, her care was extremely good, all the staff are very caring people and make it a wonderful atmosphere for all the residents. I would highly recommend this home to anyone.

A few months ago my uncle had to go into care, we looked at several and decided on Darnall Grange. The manager and all the staff were great, really clean attentive to his every need and so welcoming. They really couldn't do enough to make sure we and him were cared for and catered for. Thank you so

6 years of care for dad as his health declined he was cared for by great staff who always welcomed us into the home. If any concerns about dad needed addressing we were contacted immediately and kept informed of any changes in his condition. Caring and considerate to the end.

My mum was admitted initially for a 28-day assessment in July 2019, and stayed there until she passed in March 2021. I can honestly say, although as a family we were unsure about admitting our mother into care, we could not have picked anywhere better. The attention she received from all the staff was
100% first class at all times, and my mother was as happy there as anywhere she'd been in all her life. We were always made to feel welcome and the activities that were organised were great fun, apart from when she saw the snake that had been brought in for a quick visit. The look on her face had us all in stitches laughing!
Should anyone be considering a place for a loved one, I sincerely believe you can do no better than Darnall Grange Care Home. Their staff in all departments are a credit to their profession.

I have been so impressed by the standard of care at Darnall Grange nursing home.
The manager has a fine team. My sister has very specific needs and these have been addressed with compassion, sensitivity and time.
I was lucky to have my sister when I needed help and she gave me of her best. I would
like to be able to care for her as well as the team at Darnall Grange. This would not be possible even without the Lockdown for Covid-19 pandemic. The mentally frail are badly affected by these essential restrictions. My sister was a Londoner and had great affection for the city. She developed a love of the beauty of Yorkshire over many years.
I am hugely grateful to all the staff who go the extra mile to make individuals feel special. If I need nursing home care I can think of nowhere better than Darnall Grange.

The home is run excellently, with kindness, strong management and organisation of the director, the manager within the home, and every other staff member I have met, all working as a team. This is such a clean home, a lovely atmosphere on both floors, calm and bright. I have rarely seen such love and
respect shown to residents of a home before. Staff have been so accommodating, such as purchasing new kitchen equipment to manage a food allergy and trying different strategies to help mum to settle in. When we have had some difficulties, their expertise has been second to none, dealing with any issues and keeping me informed. Soon after mum arrived, the whole country was locked down with Covid19. I thank my lucky stars that I found this place: despite not being able to visit, I feel absolutely certain that mum is being treated with dignity and everything is being done to keep everyone safe. A massive thank you to all staff, you are making what would be a difficult time so much easier.

The care is exceptional, especially towards the end of Mum's life. Facilities are good and the rooms are good, but could be improved/modernised/updated.
I cannot fault the care though, and the home is very clean throughout. The food could be improved, ie: more homemade soups. There could also be more
activities for the residents.

Very helpful and caring staff, including management who also interact with residents. After speaking to paramedics who attended to Mum one evening, they too were impressed how staff knew resident's names and characters and especially medication, without having to refer to notes (they had attended there
before). Seems a low turnover in staff and no agency workers. One minor complaint was mum's socks were always going missing, even with her name in.

The staff were always friendly and caring whenever we visited and my mum had a good relationship with staff. As my husband and I do not live locally, it was a great comfort to know my mum was in good hands and being cared for.
Unfortunately, mum was on thickened drinks and purified food for most of
her stay, hence the rating for food and drink.

My father was a resident at Darnall Grange for 6 and a half years. During this time he was cared for with dignity and respect in a safe environment. More recently, up to dad's passing in May 2019, the care team at Darnall Grange were so caring, loving and very supportive, not just to dad but to us as
a family, of which we were very appreciative. I would recommend the care provided at Darnall Grange.

My grandad is in this care home. The staff are wonderful with the clients. It's very homely and friendly and the staff are involved with all that's going on with the clients, even in the lounges they are always interacting with them all. They are all lovely and kind. Nothing too much trouble.

My dad is in Darnall Grange Care Home it is a homely and friendly care home. Staff are lovely with the clients, my dad has improved 100% since being here and having people and staff to watch and talk too. It's like home from home, feel confident he's in good hands with this care home and lovely staff.

My elderly friend came to this home for assessment, most of the staff have been very friendly and extremely helpful and assisted in all that has been asked. The rooms could do with updating but upon every visit, the home has been very clean and welcoming by staff members.
My friend has been very well
looked after during her stay at Darnall Grange and I would recommend this home mainly due to the staff, they are absolute stars.
My friend was upstairs in this home but even staff downstairs were very helpful.
