Always has been welcoming to come here. I noticed that all the residents are treated kindly and the atmosphere is friendly. It's clean and tidy, and the facilities are very good.

There is banter and laughs between residents and the staff, but I'm sure they are not laughing about their rate of pay! Staff do seem to be professional at all times, and my mother is mostly happy.

Having viewed many care homes, I knew as soon as I walked in unannounced into Holmwood, that this would be the home that was for my dad. The home is well-kept, resourced and furnished well and always smells nice. All staff are welcoming, polite and friendly in all departments, nursing care and ancillary. On occasions, my dad struggled to settle into a new environment. The staff have gone over and above to make him feel at home and support the wider family, which we are extremely grateful for. Thank you to all. We look forward to a long and happy relationship with you all.

Dad was only in Holmwood for 8 weeks before he passed. The staff , especially the nurses were exceptional with my Dad.
It's a lovely place and everyone was friendly, kind and smiling on our visits.
Dad said they would do anything for him.
The Food all home cooked & he especially loved full breakfast.
Cleaners on site every day & also chatted with Dad.

Always plenty of staff.

We'd like to take a moment to thank you for leaving such a lovely review of our home. It means so much to our colleagues when they receive this level of praise; they work tirelessly throughout the year to deliver the kindest possible care to our residents. It was a pleasure and an honour to care...

Excellent friendly run nursing home, with a homely feel. Staff are very attentive to residents needs, and can't do enough to help them feel at home always going the extra mile to help. Meal times are well enjoyed by all residents with multiple food options available all prepared and cooked on site by the homes chef. So pleased to have found a forever home for Mum after her illness, this makes it so much easier for me leaving her, knowing she is getting the best care.

Mum's been in Holmwood for 10 months, and has settled in really well. Staff are really friendly to mum and to the family, and mums more confident in asking for help. She has made some good friends whilst she's been here. Staff members are really approachable and helpful to son and daughter.

My family and I love mum being in Holmwood. The staff care like they are looking after their own family. Mum is always clean and well fed. Staff go over and above. Always listen to the needs of the family as well as the cared for/residents.

The needs and requirements of my parents are very well catered for. Staff are friendly, and helpful and listen to any concerns or worries that we have. It gives us comfort knowing that even the smallest of concerns regarding their emotional and physical well-being are acted on. When we visit them, it is great to have the space and room for us all to be together as a family.

Mum transferred to Holmwood following a 4 month stay in hospital. Having no experience of what a care home was like, I have been overwhelmed with the excellent care mum receives here. The staff, management, nurses, carers, domestics, cooks, are all so friendly, caring and supportive. Mum has settled in so well and it is such a wonderful caring environment. I can rest well, safe in knowledge mum is receiving the best care possible, and so rightly deserves.

My mum moved in nearly 2 years ago. The experience has been only positive. My mum is very vulnerable, immobile, incontinent, very little vocalisation or understanding of what is going on. Despite all of this is treated with respect and dignity. She is warm, fed appropriately to her needs and always appears comfortable and pain free. Staff are to a person-welcoming, happy to answer questions and involve me appropriately in aspects of care when needed. I would certainly recommend this home to anyone considering it for their relative.

I visited a friend from church. Each time I have found the staff very welcoming.
The resident is happy and contented, the room is clean and there is a lovely atmosphere in the building.

Her special diet requirements are dealt with and choices are given. I would certainly suggest this home to others.

We cannot praise this care home enough. Mum has been here 17 months with dementia, the care all the staff gives is lovely. Recently she celebrated her birthday, the staff decorated her room which made it extra special, leaving her knowing she's been looked after makes us less worried such a warm friendly care home.
