Moorend Place Nursing Home

Moorend Place has saved my Dad's life. He has dementia and used to go wandering and got lost frequently. The care he receives is excellent and the staff treat him like their own relative. I can't recommend the place highly enough. They have activities daily.

Food and drinks are plentiful and alternatives are available if required. Communications regarding Dad's health are excellent and we're very content that he's safe and secure. Before choosing Moorend, we visited several other care homes and we have no doubts that we made the right choice.

The staff work very hard to make residents comfortable and have a good relationship with residents and visitors.

Only been here a week, wow, I wish we had found this earlier, a real gem of a home.

Mum settled into Moorend really quickly and was always comfortable and content throughout her 2 years there. All the staff treated her with care and dignity and were always cheerful. They all made us feel welcome when we visited. The staff do a difficult job really well, we were so pleased to have found Moorend Place.

I am always made to feel welcome and my visit to be facilitated.

Laundry could do with more help, as sometimes her clothes are very screwed up and not always hers.

Moorend Place as a building is fine, but the staff make it really special. We, as a family really love it.

Moorend Place arranges many days where there is entertainment which goes down really well. We recently had the summer fayre, what a great day, animals and all. Well done Moorend.

Really impressed with the care given to my mother-in-law. Lovely atmosphere and grounds are nicely displayed. Staff that I have met very good and food also.

I went to Moorend Place on July 21st for the summer fair. All the residents were well looked after. All staff were very helpful and friendly a really enjoyable day.

The Friday coffee mornings are wonderful, a chance to talk to other residents and their families, not to mention the wonderful cakes baked by the kitchen.

Our Dad has outstanding care and has done for several years. He clearly is well looked after both physically and emotionally. He always has a smile on his face. His environment is stimulating with intervention from all staff. Staff are warm and friendly, always willing to have a chat and offer support. The management are approachable and professional at all times. Highly recommend Moorend.

Being the first time visiting, I found the home very friendly, staff very welcoming and very sympathetic to all the residents needed. It is a credit to all the staff and management.

Made to feel very welcome there. Nothing too much trouble for the staff, they are always on hand and will do anything for the residents and visitors.

It's an old type of building inside but the care is 1st class.

My dad lived at a residential home and was taken into hospital very ill. Going forward, it was decided he had to have nursing care. He was so ill the hospital told us it was a matter of days more than weeks. He was moved to Moorend where they could give the end of life care.

Wow! This was 7 weeks ago and now my dad has improved so much it is unbelievable how he has recovered. He sits around the table for meals he has a conversation with us and he is clean and dressed every day. This is all down to the exceptional care myself and family can not thank Moorend staff enough.

From our hearts thanks to you all my dad is very happy here. 100% recommend Moorend.

I recently visited my friend, he was happy and settled. He looked happier than he has in years. The staff made me welcome and the dementia area is a real treat.
