My husband has been a resident in Moorend Place for 18 months. He is very happy and we as a family are extremely happy with his care and the staff (carers and management) go over and above to care for the resident as well as us his family.
If at any time we have a problem, there is always someone to talk to and the matter dealt with immediately.

Thank you Moorend for your care and giving us peace of mind at a difficult time.

Since my friend has been a resident she looks well, has put on weight, is very happy and tells us all so. We like the activities. She enjoys singing and craftwork. As she hasn't any children this has been a difficult job for her next of kin.
I have been quite upset, but am thrilled at how happy she is. She has a friend who I think has the same amount of memory loss.

Carry on the good work.

Dad has been at Moorend Place for three months and we've been delighted with the care he's received. Moorend has a wonderful homely feel to it with a real bustling family atmosphere. We are frequent visitors and only ever see the residents treated with love and affection, dignity and respect. The staff are endlessly patient and caring and Moorend is a genuinely happy place. Management are always available to chat and admin support are always ready to help.

Food and drinks are plentiful and alternatives are available if required. Communications regarding Dad's health are excellent and we're very content that he's safe and secure. Before choosing Moorend, we visited several other care homes and we have no doubts that we made the right choice.

Mum settled into Moorend really quickly and was always comfortable and content throughout her 2 years there. All the staff treated her with care and dignity and were always cheerful. They all made us feel welcome when we visited. The staff do a difficult job really well, we were so pleased to have found Moorend Place.

Mom has been in here for a while. She has now settled down. She gets on well with the staff, who are friendly and supportive. She is treated with dignity and respect. Her room is nice, she has a lot of her own furnishings in it so it is like home.
The only thing - it would be better with vinyl flooring as it would be easier to keep clean.

Laundry could do with more help, as sometimes her clothes are very screwed up and not always hers.

Dad transferred into Moorend Place a couple of weeks ago from another care home in order to be closer to be his family. He has settled into Moorend Place very quickly.
Staff have taken the time to understand that he needs his "space" to be respected in order not to feel controlled or trapped. Instead, he feels happier and more content than he has for years. His agitation is greatly reduced and as a result, has only had one fall at Moorend Place. Falls were a daily event at his previous placement.

Moorend Place as a building is fine, but the staff make it really special. We, as a family really love it.

My first experience of Moorend was laughter from the staff and residents and I knew I had found the best home for my husband. I am always made welcome and can visit anytime.
My husband has settled in and is always treated with kindness, even when his behaviour is challenging.
There is an excellent entertainment team, who provide games, outings etc.

The Friday coffee mornings are wonderful, a chance to talk to other residents and their families, not to mention the wonderful cakes baked by the kitchen.

My dad lived at a residential home and was taken into hospital very ill. Going forward, it was decided he had to have nursing care. He was so ill the hospital told us it was a matter of days more than weeks. He was moved to Moorend where they could give the end of life care.

Wow! This was 7 weeks ago and now my dad has improved so much it is unbelievable how he has recovered. He sits around the table for meals he has a conversation with us and he is clean and dressed every day. This is all down to the exceptional care myself and family can not thank Moorend staff enough.

From our hearts thanks to you all my dad is very happy here. 100% recommend Moorend.
