Moorend Place Nursing Home, in the Walkley area of Sheffield, is a fifty-three en-suite bedroom facility that specialises in dementia care in both Nursing and Residential.

Those who have experienced a high standard of care at Moorend Place have had the opportunity to pursue an independent lifestyle, the benefit of one-to-one sessions and a varied programme of activities. They now have two activity staff working full time to provide a busy programme of events.

The service involves loved ones of residents as much as possible, they invite you to visit whenever you like and discuss your loved one's care with staff whenever you wish.

I would not hesitate to recommend Moorend Place to anybody looking for the care of a loved one. All the patients are treated with respect, kindness and dignity. Residents are extremely well cared for and we feel Mum is safe and as content as she can be. We go home every day knowing she is safe and well
looked after.

The staff at Moorend are absolutely fantastic. They look after my friend attending to all her needs. Her health has recently taken a turn for the worse and I thank them greatly for her care.

I find Moorend Place a very nice environment to visit. I visit my dear wife every day so have plenty of experience on observing the daily routine and the amount of work put in by the staff to create a lovely caring atmosphere. All the staff are very professional in the way they carry out their duties.
The support and care they give is first class, they are all very approachable at all times. To me, the staff at Moorend Place are excellent in every way.

My mother was admitted following a series of falls and a brief spell in hospital. She has Alzheimer's and became unable to manage at home.
I find Moorend Place to be clean and comfortable on the whole and the staff friendly and helpful. I feel reassured knowing mum is safe, has company and that medical
attention is available, should it be required.

My mum aged 91, after a bad fall, resulting in a new hip, had to leave her home and go into care. Which was a traumatic experience for her and her family. It was made so much easier by the care and understanding of the manager and her excellent staff at Moorend. Mum has settled in so well and I cannot

My mum is not in the best of health and I always find it upsetting to visit. But once at the care home, the staff make me very welcome, they are friendly and caring both to mum and me. I always leave feeling mum is getting the best of care and I always leave feeling more settled and happier than when

Staff have been very welcoming, caring and friendly. Despite all the difficulties in care for my father, staff have been able to appreciate the difference between the person and the behaviour. I have been very reassured by staff that there is nothing to worry about despite my fathers regular phone calls.

Although dad only stayed at Moorend Place three weeks he was very happy there, he loved music and they had a special music room decorated with records and posters of Elvis and The Beatles on the wall. He was very relaxed and comfortable sat in there. They also have a lovely café we could take dad and
outside there's pretend shops, bus stop etc in the garden. Everyone made us feel very welcome.

Emma is the Home Manager at Moorend Place and has worked in the care industry for 10 years. Emma has undertaken several care roles within Moorend Place before been appointed Home Manager in October 2017 and is registered with the CQC. Emma is passionate about providing high-quality care and feels that residents should be at the heart of all that is done within the home. Emma and her team work closely with residents and their families to ensure that the care received is truly person-centred. Emma and the team have built strong relationships with the community allowing residents to access the community easily.

Moly has been the Deputy Manager at Moorend Place for 4months but prior to this was working as a Clinical Nurse across Roseberry Care Centres.

Tracy has over 25years experience and has worked her whole career in care at Moorend Place. Tracy is committed to ensuring that her residents have the best care possible. For the last 7 years Tracy has been the unit manager of the residential unit. This role has allowed her to oversea care plans, medication and develop relationships with professionals and families. Tracy was nominated for care home award in 2023 by her colleagues. Tracy is a crucial part of Moorend and the team.
