Anchor’s Springfield is located in a quiet location in Buttershaw. The home provides friendly and comfortable residential and dementia care for up to 99 residents in single en suite rooms.

Residents have a choice of five spacious lounges and a landscaped garden area with raised flower beds, with easy access to local travel routes and amenities for those who wish to remain as active as they can amongst the local community.

Care needs are met through individual, detailed care plans which are designed with care staff, residents and their loved ones. The care staff receive on-going dementia training to ensure their approach reflects best practice and they can provide high standards of care for residents with dementia.

Springfield has looked after my husband for about three years, and we couldn't be more happy with his care. The staff are wonderful and can't do enough for him. We are always very welcome when we visit him and have absolutely nothing but praise for the care home.

My brother who suffered a stroke was admitted to Springfield during covid and obviously, we were unable to view the premises before he went in which was a bit of a worry. However, I can honestly say that his care is more than excellent! The staff are amazing and seeing the smile on my brother's face
when I visit, assures me that we couldn't have chosen a better care home. They are an amazing team and treat all their residents as if they are members of their own family.

My Dad moved to Springfield Care Home in January 2024, he'd spent a few months in hospital and was not well enough to go home, he was also dealing with my mum passing away at the same time.
This was a very stressful time for all the family, Springfield were fantastic, settling Dad in and comforting
him at a really distressing time. The staff are wonderful, understanding and they really do care about the residents. Staff are easy to speak to regarding concerns or queries.
The rooms are comfortable and Dad has been well looked after with personal hygiene, washing, help with dressing and lovely homemade meals and cakes.
Myself and my brother feel so relieved that Dad is safe and being well cared for. Peace of mind really has made a big difference. Thank you.

My mum lived at Springfield Care Home since 2019, we visited and chose the care home following recommendations from others and the response we received when visiting for the first time. Mum's needs changed in the time she was a resident at Springfield which meant a move to another unit within the home
and later a return to the original unit. There was clear consideration of Mum's needs as well as clear communication with us as her family. Whilst it was never Mum's wish to go into a care setting it was a needs must decision the home became an extension of her family and for the most part she was well cared for and treated well. We appreciate the care she was given and the respect we were afforded as her family. We have valued and appreciated the case and support Mum received from all the team at Springfield and would not hesitate to recommend the home to others. Thank you again to all for the support Mum and ourselves received in the 5 years she was part of the Springfield family.

My mum moved to Springfield Care Home in Buttershaw in January 2024 when care at home was no longer possible. We couldn't have wished for a better place for her to be. The staff are wonderful - they are not just doing their jobs, you can tell that they genuinely care about the residents. Nothing is
ever too much trouble, and they are always willing to go the extra mile. The facilities are very good, the rooms are comfortable, and the freshly prepared food is excellent. I can't comment on activities as Mum was too frail to leave her room, but there is a varied programme for those who wish to participate. I would highly recommend it to other people looking for care for themselves or a relative.

Well what can I say about the staff on B1, they were absolutely brilliant with my mum who only came to Springfield on the 18th March. Unfortunately, she died this week but the care she received was second to none and it was worth every penny for the way she and our family were treated from day 1 to
the last day. Nothing was too much trouble for any of the staff and we were always informed of what was going on with Mum. You all should feel proud of yourselves in the job that you do.

My mother was admitted to the dementia ward B1, in March 2024. Sadly she passed away in there recently, but she could not have been in a better place.
I have worked in a few homes myself, but I have never come across one as brilliant as Springfield.
The staff are the most caring people I have met
in any home I have been to. They treat everyone in a really friendly manner, and with humour, respect and dignity.
The home is extremely clean, very nicely furnished and extremely homely.
I can't recommend it enough.

Absolutely lovely service at Springfield! We couldn’t have wished any other placement for my grandmother who sadly passed away on March 1st, staff were perfect for her from the start till the very end! Endless phone calls when she was poorly and even when she was passing the staff were there with their
kind words! Not only are they a family member to your loved ones they are a family to us, I will miss coming here daily for visits. Thank you again you did us proud.

The staff can only be described as angels! My mum was cared for and supported at all times with dignity and love. I was happy to leave my mum knowing she was safe.

My mother passed away very suddenly on the evening of 19 December. Her carer rang me immediately to let me know she had collapsed and an emergency ambulance had been sent for her. Unfortunately, as I do not live locally, I could not get to her before she died. On arrival, the paramedic took me to one
side to tell me how beautiful Mum's passing was - two of her carers were on the bed with her, one on either side, holding her and speaking to her with such love and affection. I couldn’t be there, but her extended family (which is how we refer to Springfield) were. I could not ask for more.
This is a reflection of the beautiful love and care she received for seven years as a resident of Springfield.

The staff at Springfield are truly amazing. There are plenty of staff around the home day and night. Nothing is too much trouble if you ask any of them for any help. Always pleasant and helpful. I highly recommend Springfield.

Mum has been in Springfield care home for six months. She says the staff are all very kind and caring, the food is really tasty, and there are plenty of choices, plus if Mum doesn’t fancy the meals, the staff will always make her something different. Mum had a lot of her own things in her cosy room
once she felt cold, but within minutes, they supplied a radiator. There’s always a handyman to sort out any problems. At Christmas time, the staff made sure the residents had a lovely time. They try to have activity sessions, although Mum does struggle to hear sometimes, which makes it difficult. Sometimes the staff can’t answer the call buzzer for a while, but it’s because they are so busy - this isn’t a criticism, it's just they are so busy. They are very caring. If she’s in any pain or discomfort, they try to make her as comfortable as they can access to the local GP isn’t easy for them, but there is a nurse visiting regularly. Springfield is a lovely, caring environment with amazing staff.

My lovely mum lived at Springfield for 3 years and 10 months. We were lucky to find such a warm, comfortable home with kind and loving staff who looked after my mum so well throughout all the ups and downs with her worsening dementia. We still managed to have many happy times together. Sadly Mum passed
away recently. She was safe in her own bed with me right beside her for three days and nights. We felt totally supported and loved by the whole team and I will be forever grateful.

My mother-in-law was a resident at Springfield for 3 years and 6 months. Throughout this time, she was very well looked after and the standard of care and facilities could not be faulted. Her room, food and amenities were of a very high standard. Sadly, she passed away on 12th November in her room,
with her family around her. All staff members were extremely kind, supportive and helpful during this difficult period, allowing us to be with her at all times. This was very gratefully appreciated and I cannot thank everyone at Springfield enough.

My mum was in Springfield for 2 years. Throughout her time I found the staff to be very friendly and caring. This service was also extended to the wider family, which is something I didn't expect. My mum was a challenging resident due to her dementia but the staff were very supportive. Unfortunately
Mum had to move due to her nursing requirements.
The home is very stylish and immaculately clean.
I would like to say a huge thank you for all your help and support.
