Anchor’s Springfield is located in a quiet location in Buttershaw. The home provides friendly and comfortable residential and dementia care for up to 99 residents in single en suite rooms.

Residents have a choice of five spacious lounges and a landscaped garden area with raised flower beds, with easy access to local travel routes and amenities for those who wish to remain as active as they can amongst the local community.

Care needs are met through individual, detailed care plans which are designed with care staff, residents and their loved ones. The care staff receive on-going dementia training to ensure their approach reflects best practice and they can provide high standards of care for residents with dementia.

Having spent the last six years at Springfield, my godmother sadly passed away in October. She was really happy and content there. The staff are always happy, compassionate, dedicated and friendly, a credit to them all for their hard work, nothing is too much trouble to them. The rooms, lounges and
public areas are spotlessly clean, as is the residents' laundry. The food is good. All in all I would highly recommend Springfield as a safe and happy care home.

My dad was a resident at Springfield for five months as a result of ill health, until he passed away. He was always treated with dignity and respect, especially in the last few days of his life. We definitely made the correct choice when my dad needed to move into a care home by choosing Springfield.

Dad was admitted into Springfield Care Home in June 2023, transferring from a care home that was closing down. From the first moment my sister and myself felt an overwhelming sense of relief. The staff were friendly, caring and understanding, from our initial contact and every since. The care home is
beautifully decorated and clean. It's like walking into someone's home. Dad is very happy.

My husband has been a resident at Springfield for over six years. Throughout his stay his medical condition has significantly deteriorated and the staff have supported him through these difficult changes. I and my family are included in his care and kept informed. Discussion is made between all parties
on his care plan. He is treated with dignity and I am very happy with his care.

I knew that, during the last eighteen months, staff had learned Mum's 'little ways', her preferences and needs, even if her dementia meant she could not always verbalise them. I knew staff were kind, competent and helped her feel safe. But, I didn't realise how much all of these skills, and more, would
be offered and be of immense help to me and my family as Mum reached her final days with dementia. A cuppa, a cushion, a reminisce, a smile and a tear, a hug - all offered openheartedly, bravely, sensitively and compassionately by staff, to us all. How lovely for us to be able to come and go anytime, with no pressure and no judgement, just acceptance and facilitation. Staff simply 'coming alongside' and responding. Every comfort and care was afforded to Mum and we were included/encouraged, as much as we wanted to be, to take part. The gentle, empathetic care we all received remains in our memory, helping us as a family to grieve well and remember fondly. The words 'thank you' seem so inadequate.

The team at Springfield provides excellent care for my mum and is very friendly and welcoming every time I visit. I have found every member of staff very personable and helpful. Nothing is too much trouble. They are quick to address any health issues and always ensure that Mum understands what is happening
and always go the extra mile to ensure Mum is comfortable and heard.
Mum is always treated with the utmost respect and dignity. The social interaction between the staff and my mum is exactly what she needs as she has a wicked sense of humour.
I cannot thank them enough for the regular telephone updates and the reassurances that provides.
I leave after all my visits knowing that Mum is in a very happy safe environment.

Mum has been with Springfield for a whole year now. She is comfortable and happy, which we hoped she would be upon arriving here. But, more than that, she has made friends and loves being able to join in with activities. The Springfield team really seem to care about every single resident as if they
were their own family. We are so pleased we chose Springfield for Mum's care. We can rest assured Mum's needs are being cared for, day in, day out. That does mean a lot to us.

My mum has been a resident here since 2016. The staff have always been very good to make sure that my mum was looked after really well. They are compassionate and caring, and I couldn't have asked for more. She was definitely part of the Springfield family.
The food was excellent, and the accommodation
was good. We were always welcome and could visit anytime, particularly in the last two weeks of her life. Well done, Springfield and thank you.

My sister was a resident at Springfield Care Home for the last four-plus years suffering from dementia. Overall, I am happy with how my sister was cared for.
The only time I had concerns was when she was moved to another floor at Christmas 2022 after being happy where she was. The move was made with
no consultation with a family member. It was an extremely traumatic experience for my sister and myself. Fortunately, this was seen by management, and my sister was then moved back to where she was before. On returning, her health and happiness improved dramatically, and she was relieved to be back with staff that she knew and familiar surroundings.
She has recently sadly passed away, and I cannot thank the staff enough (where my sister was) for all the love and care they gave her. It is hard to mention any one person, but the team leader who was on duty leading up to her death was outstanding and stayed long passed her shift - true dedication.

My mum has been a resident at Springfield care home since November 2022. As a family, we made a difficult decision that Mum needed full-time care. The staff made the decision so easy for us. From the minute we entered the building, we knew it was the place for her.
Mum sadly passed away very recently;
however, I can honestly say the last seven months, she has been happy, cherished and safe. We could not have asked for anything better.

My husband died in Springfield care home on April 9th. He had been in Springfield for 18 months with dementia, and he finally had pneumonia. We, as a family, held a vigil at his bedside for the last three days, and the staff were just fantastic, not only with him but with us too. We saw care at its
very best. For 18 months, we have had nothing but praise for Springfield from management to cleaners - they cared.

My father has been a resident at Springfield care home for the last 18 months, having suffered from advanced dementia for the last eight years. Words cannot properly describe the care and attention that have been given to my father by staff at Springfield during this time or the support that was given
to my mother, particularly to myself and my brother whilst he spent his last couple of days at the home before his death. Put simply - they are angels! I could not recommend Springfield more. The facilities are very good, but it's the people, the love, the commitment and the care that is so important and that are so good.

Since moving my mother-in-law into Springfield, she has really come into her stride. She is so happy and says it feels like home. The staff are just wonderful, so caring and patient. The residents are always their first thought, and nothing is too much trouble. My mother-in-law has really come out of

My sister has been at Springfield care home since November 2022, having been assessed as "unsafe" to return home from the hospital because of her failing memory and increasing confusion. She has lived on her own for many years, enjoying her independence and following her many interests, so initially,
she was reluctant about living in residential care. What a difference it has made to her. She settled in remarkably quickly, loves her room, which she has made her own and says she feels safe and comfortable there. She's an enormous fan of the quality and range of meals/food served. She enjoys the general atmosphere of Springfield and is more than appreciative of how staff actively support and encourage her independence and interests whilst at the same time caring for and supporting her needs. It's been a great pleasure and comfort as her family to hear her say how happy she is at Springfield. We love to visit her here too!

Mum resided at Springfield, living with dementia for five and a half years. During this time, the staff cared for Mum with love, care and compassion as if she was one of their own. There was always laughter, fun, and cuddles when needed, which were a truly amazing team. The home is very well run with
the manager at the helm, and as a visitor, I always felt welcome on arrival. When Mum passed away, I could not have wished for better care for Mum; the staff were exceptional - true angels.

My dad became a resident at Springfield in October 2021 and remained there until he sadly died on Easter Sunday, 2023. He had vascular dementia. I can only say super positive things about Springfield. The staff are like angels! The love, respect and care they gave my dad, and also very obvious to all
the residents, was amazing. In what must be a challenging work environment; their dedication and professionalism is first-class. They were always super friendly to us as a family when we were visiting or needed information. During his last few days, when we, as a family, spent a round-the-clock vigil with my father, the staff could not have been more supportive. For that, we will always be very appreciative. The home itself is very well laid out. The facilities are excellent. Their ability to cope with different dietary needs and cleanliness was always of a high standard. I would highly recommend Springfield to anyone looking for a safe and caring environment for a loved one.

Mum has been a resident at Springfield care home now for nearly six years. The staff are amazing and look after her very well. She has her own room and is allowed to have her own personal things in her room. They treat Mum with the dignity she deserves. If there are ever any issues/problems with Mum,
they always telephone me. Lovely, caring staff who have a very difficult job to deal with. They deserve a medal.
