My mother has been cared for in Halcyon Court for more than three years. She turned 100 last month and the home held a lovely party for her. She received a beautiful bouquet from the CEO of Anchor. The staff are always helpful, pleasant and friendly. I feel that Mum is happy and well cared for. The
gardens at Halcyon Court have improved a great deal recently. They look much better, which is important as I often take my mum outside when I visit.

We never thought we'd be able to get Mum to her only granddaughter's wedding as she's been reluctant to leave her bedroom and before home, I mentioned my worries and concerns to the manager and she was so lovely and helpful and said they would help me and the family make it possible. Whatever we wanted
they would help. They had her ready and dressed with all her tablets for two nights away and when we picked her up it went so smoothly without any upset or resistance. Mum had the best time at her granddaughter's wedding and to see all the family together after two years, it was a very beautiful but emotional day. Thank you so much for making our worries fade away it meant the world to Mum and also to us. Thank you.

Halcyon Court is just right for my mother. The action is peaceful enough. The carers are so friendly and kind. Not pretentious just with the best for the oldies in mind. The activities are good. Tea party Tuesday, kids making easter bonnets. I'm happy my mum is in good hands. She is happy here. Thanks

My mum was a resident of Halcyon Court from 2021 until she passed away in July 2024. Her care has always been excellent and the care staff really care.
If I had any concerns I knew they'd be addressed immediately and I got to know the management team and many of the staff on first-name terms.
In her
final days they really were incredible. Mum was treated with love and dignity. I and other family members spent many hours by Mum's bedside as she was in her final days and the staff took almost as much care of us as they did of Mum. We were able to come and go whenever we liked and there was always a cup of tea available.
When she passed it was clear to see the love the staff had for Mum and there were many tears.
We were never pressured to clear her things and Mum had asked that her 'decent' clothes be given to residents who had no family to provide for them, for which the home was delighted.
Our whole family will always be grateful for what the staff at Halcyon Court did for Mum. RIP Mum

My mum was quite poorly last week and the staff were just excellent. They organised the correct care/medical assistance for her. They kept us updated and I'm sure it is their expertise and care that have pulled her through this latest episode we are so grateful to the whole team.

Came to bring my granny to the tea room and we rand an hour prior to ask to get her ready. No wheelchair available was looking for ages, had to get her to walk down and she was extremely tired after this. The food was lovely and a nice atmosphere. More wheelchairs are needed, please.

Our Afternoon Tea has become popular and we apologise that a wheelchair wasn't available to support your Grandma. We do have a number of porter chairs and other mobility aids available to assist our residents, and colleagues offered to take a selection of sandwiches and cakes to your Grandma's room.

My brother has been at Halcyon Court for some weeks. From the time I and my wife first saw Halcyon, we both had no doubts that this was the right place for my brother. We are welcomed every time we visit by warm, smiling staff and are touched by the good humour and enthusiasm of the people that work
there. This applies from the most senior members of staff down to the people that clean my brother's room. The first thing I notice when I see my brother is how well he looks and he, himself, says how settled he is. He feels safe and secure and is very trusting of the staff who care for him. There seems to be nothing that the staff will not do for the people under their care.
The times I have talked about the food at Halcyon, with my brother, he is very happy and says he gets plenty. Well done Halcyon.

My mum is well looked after in Halcyon Court. The staff know her and her needs, and she responds well to them. My mum often chooses to stay in her room, but I am aware that there are a number of activities available for residents. Staff communicate quickly with us over any issues, and when we have
flagged anything they have been quick to respond. I would describe it as a friendly and caring environment.

Our Mum sadly had to go into Full Time Care very recently after a fall at home. We picked Halcyon Court after a tour of several as it was clear that the residents there were very happy and the staff cared. Mum needs specialist Dementia care and she is getting that at Halcyon Court. They have taken
the time to attend to her personal care needs, which is no mean feat, and she is very well looked after. They also took the time to work with us and to design a care plan for Mum. It is lovely to visit her and see her up in the day room taking part in activities rather than being on her own in her room.
Her room is modern and always clean and the tea trolley is never far away.
We no longer worry about Mum as we did when she was living on her own at home, we know she is safe and being looked after. I can't thank the staff enough for taking the time to care for her as well as they are. Thank you.

My uncle was moved to Halcyon Court from hospital. Due to the lack of communication to the care home from the hospital lead to quite a rocky start, but the care home went above and beyond to help us settle my uncle in.
The manager was so understanding and caring. She really put our family at ease
and made everything as easy as possible.
The staff are really lovely and had made my uncle feel very cared for.

We had to get urgent care for my 93-year-old mother, who has mobility issues. Halcyon Court responded very quickly to what was a family emergency, they made us very welcome, and although my mother was only there for three nights, she said the staff were wonderful. They were kind and friendly and treated
her with dignity.

My work colleague required convalescent care for twelve days due to a broken hip that had been operated on at hospital. I had rung eight other care homes before my friend was accepted. Extremely grateful.
All staff are excellent and friendly. Would recommend. Food was an issue because there was minimal
Halal options. However, the kitchen did their best. Many thanks for looking after my friend, grateful.

Staff are kind, caring and interested in the state and welfare of residents. Are safety-aware and make an effort to keep residents' rooms clean. I think that staff face many challenges amongst which is caring for many people who are declining but despite this they provide good support to residents.

Hacylon Court is a very friendly place, staff are friendly and well trained. The home is well kept and clean, lots of activities for the residents.
