My mother was a reluctant resident in the home. The staff and administration worked very hard consistently over her first six weeks to make her welcome and address her needs. They really tried very hard to win her over. The quality of catering varies. There was a disappointment with the time it took
to address some maintenance issues but not the fault of this home or staff, more the policy fo the Anchor Group.
Care needs are being continuously assessed and addressed. Hospital appointments are well arranged and organised. This is an excellent care home.

We were very dubious about putting Mum in a care home. After visiting Halcyon Court we were very pleased. The staff are very helpful and caring. Nothing seems to be too much trouble. Every query I have had has been dealt with promptly and efficiently. I couldn't be happier with our choice of care home

The overall standard of care is good although the home is sometimes hampered by staff sickness and lack of back up. More care could be had with the personal effects of the residents. Food is good and as is the dignity the staff give to residents.

Thank you for your comments; we welcome feedback and always use it to improve the service we provide. Our regular staff can often help out when there is staff sickness and we also have dedicated bank staff who will step in and cover when needed. I understand that recently, there was an unusual situation whereby several staff were sick at short notice and it took some time to arrange full cover. Due to room vacancies, staffing levels were adequate but we accept that this made staff extremely busy. This was an exceptional circumstance but in light of this occurrence, we are currently recruiting more bank staff.
