Staff are really kind and considerate. Overall, a very good and happy place.

All the staff are amazing. They are very caring and look after all of us. Nothing is too much trouble.

All staff are so welcoming and friendly. Always have a smile on their face and will have a conversation with us all. Cleaners are always around and do a brilliant job.

My mother-in-law resided at Gledhow Care Home for two years and throughout that time received excellent care from every member of staff. In the second year of her stay her medical needs increased quite dramatically and the care she received from the wonderful nurses and care staff could not be better. She, and the family, were given so much love, compassion and respect, her end-of-life care was a very positive, though sad, experience.

I would recommend to other families.

My visit on that day was one of the most satisfying I have had since I started visiting.

My dad has received excellent care from everyone at Gledhow. When he couldn't sleep, due to a noisy resident, he was offered another room and has settled into it well. He is not very clear sometimes where he is or why, but he does say that everyone looks after him well and they're all friendly. It's not an easy job and I thank everyone. There is always a lovely, friendly, lively atmosphere in the home and everyone is approachable and eager to assist/answer queries etc. I feel very much more at ease knowing Dad is being well cared for.

My stepmother, who also had a dementia diagnosis, moved to Gledhow ten weeks after suffering a stroke. She was confused and could do very little for herself. Throughout her short stay at Gledhow, she was treated with kindness, gentleness and respect. When she died within three weeks of her arrival, she was building good relationships with the carers and responding positively as they encouraged her to join others for meals and enabled her to participate in activities. Whatever their role at Gledhow, the staff we met couldn't have been more helpful to us, answering our questions, patiently helping us as we put things in place to improve her comfort and wellbeing, welcoming us as we visited and weeping with us when she died so suddenly. Thank you all for your loving kindness.

Very impressed at how cheerful the staff were and socially friendly to patients and visitors alike. I liked them all. Always helpful and willing to listen. Stunned by the international flavour of the staff mix who all appeared to work well together. My wife (terminally ill) seemed to view many of the staff as her best friends!

My mum went into Gledhow in February 2023 directly from the hospital, where she had undergone a hip operation. The admittance itself went smoothly, and although Mum was quite disorientated for the first few weeks, she did eventually settle in. I visit my mum on average twice a week and will get updates on her condition from the staff on duty.

Our mam was in your care for two and a quarter months. She remained in her bed throughout this time. Personnel care was carried out to the highest standard. She was milk intolerant, this was met most of the time but sometimes needed to be checked when pureed food was offered, we had to follow this up as did the carers who were very good. I think a meeting with the catering manager would have solved this problem. She was treated with respect, compassion, love and care at all times by all members of staff who came into contact with her.

My wife has been a resident for four months and I must commend the manager and all her staff for the way that they care for her. They are friendly, highly professional and maintain a sunny disposition at all times. It is obvious to me that they enjoy their work. My wife, who has Alzheimer's/dementia, is very happy in their care and I thank them in the knowledge that my wife is safe and cared for. I cannot recommend the nursing home and staff highly enough.

My brother was admitted to the care home from the hospital. On arrival, the care staff were very reassuring and made him feel very comfortable. The care staff listened to his concerns and wishes and dealt with them in an appropriate manner. My brother's main concern was to be transferred to a hospice which the staff were able to fulfil.

The care that Mum is receiving at Gledhow Care Home is outstanding, all the staff are caring, kind and patient. It is so reassuring to us that Mum is safe and well cared for, we couldn’t have wished for a better home for her. We really do appreciate all the hard work that the staff do and not only care for mum but care for us too.

Very impressed with Gledhow, where my mother went from the hospital for end of life care. All the nursing staff and management were exemplary, nothing was too much trouble. The home was like staying in a hotel, I've stayed in hotels that were not the standards of the home.

My mother arrived on a fast track from the hospital. When I first visited, the room had already been made homely and welcoming with pictures on the wall and flowers in vases. The staff are very friendly and welcoming and frequently check on her when I have been there. The staff are proactive in seeking my views (for example when a room move was needed) and good at communicating electronically with updates regarding Covid, visiting etc. She was hardly taking anything by mouth when she arrived but with their care, she is now taking more and is now no longer actively end of life. Although bedbound she has had her hair done, nails cut and even painted. Definitely would recommend the home.

I have been extremely happy with the care my husband is receiving at Gledhow Care Home.

My wife has now been in Gledhow care home as a resident for the last four months. The dedication and care given to her have been excellent. The staff are most caring and continue to look after all her needs. I cannot thank them enough for all they are doing for her.

My sister is in Gledhow as she has a terminal brain tumour. The home is clean and she feels settled and well looked after, to the extent that at present she doesn't want to come home. She eats well, her personal hygiene and medical needs are all well met. My sister can get her hair done and go upstairs for her main meal. Administration about visits, discussions about medical needs etc could be a bit better.
