This is an excellent care home for my dad, as most families struggle to put a family member in care, this care home has given us all the support we needed to settle my dad into this environment. All staff and carers have been amazing with him. From watching music tributes and loving it and taking him
back to his younger days when he loved to dance. At 83 he got to dance again which is amazing to see. It's a lovely care home.

My mother was put on respite in May 2024 and we can't believe the difference in her, she's more chatty and always smiling when we visit. All the staff including managers go the extra mile for her and are a credit to your company. They even organised a birthday cake and banner for her 88th birthday.

My mother is a new resident at Priory Gardens and we visited today as her elder sister, also a resident, is celebrating her 90th birthday. The staff had made an excellent job of decorating the lounge for my Aunt, with lots of seating available and a small buffet including soft drinks, tea and coffee
were provided. All family present really enjoyed the afternoon. Thanks to all the great staff at Priory Gardens for putting this together.

Our father had been in the care home for two and a half years and was always treated with dignity and respect. As his condition progressed, it became much more difficult for the staff to care for him, but they were wonderful with him right to the very end of his life. We cannot praise the staff enough
for the care and compassion they showed our father and us, as a family, from cleaners, cooks, nurses, carers and administrators and managers, they all do their jobs professionally and with care.

Really would like it to improve on communication. Did have a few issues with nails not being clipped. Sometimes under staffed, that needs to improve.

My husband's previous care home closed their nursing unit and we had to find a new care home immediately. I'm so glad it was Priory Gardens. Everyone has been so kind and helpful. My husband has settled in immediately. The care staff are always about and happy to have a chat. The cook came to discuss
my husband's dietary needs (which was a lovely thing to do). I'm telling everyone how good Priory Gardens is.

So happy with all aspects of Priory Gardens. Despite the difficult decision to place my mother into care, I don't believe that I could have found a more caring environment. All staff and management so helpful, welcoming and friendly. Facilities excellent and comfortable. Lovely individual rooms dedicated
to making a homely feel. Staff wonderful at dealing with occasional 'difficult' clients.

Nan went into Priory Gardens around 4 and a half years ago. It gives me real peace of mind that she was receiving the care she needed. The staff are all amazing. So loving caring understanding. I never quite knew what to expect from a care home but Priory Gardens put me at ease as soon as I walked in.
So clean and welcoming. It was like home from home. They go the extra mile, I remember when COVID hit receiving face time calls from staff so Nan could see us and talk a little. I could go on and on about just how amazing Priory Gardens is. Priory Gardens will always be a very special place to me and my family for the care they give Nan. It wasn't like going to visit Nan, it was like going to see the family Nan lived with. All heroes don't wear capes.

My Mother spent 20 months in Priory Gardens before she passed away in March 2024. During that time, I and my family got to know the staff well and felt she and the other residents were considered as part of their extended family. Having parents living in a care home is far from easy, but I was reassured
by the way staff comforted residents, putting in place measures to ensure they felt safe as they did with my Mother. The staff couldn't have been kinder and more considerate and I will always be grateful for the care she received especially towards the end. Thank you.

It has took me a while to write this review, my mum was in Priory Gardens for Palliative Care, the Nursing and Care staff are second to none! My Mum wanted for nothing, they gave her Care, dignity and patience throughout her illness, they met her every need, and ours as a Family, the compassion shown
to her after she passed was amazing! I couldn't thank them enough!

What does ‘kindness’ mean to you?


“Kindness to me, means being generous, helpful and caring at all times.”


As a Registered Nurse, Allison has gained a wealth of experience in providing care and nursing support to elderly people, to enrich their lives. She is a knowledgeable and dedicated leader who is passionate about delivering the highest standards in care and quality of life for Residents.


Having worked at Priory Gardens for over a year, Allison now closely shares HC-One’s vision in aiming to provide the kindest care for each and every Resident. She extends this caring approach to her Colleagues and works closely with them to deliver care and support to Residents in a way that they gain the most benefit, in a warm and welcoming home.


She also works hard to arrange events and activities with nearby schools and clubs and is always keen to include the local community in life at Priory Gardens.


When asked what she enjoys most about her role, Allison remarked:


“I get huge satisfaction out of making the Residents lives at Priory more fulfilling and bringing a smile to their faces.”


Outside of work, Allison enjoys spending time with her family, especially her two new grandchildren, and enjoys reading a good book.
