After looking at numerous care home facilities, we were so happy to visit Mallard Court and immediately felt it was the right place for our mum. The manager immediately did an assessment and helped immensely getting everything into place for Mum to be moved in on August 2nd. Even though it’s only been a couple of weeks, we have been more than happy with the care and support given by all the staff and very impressed with the activities offered every day and how they try to involve Mum in all that is going on. This last Saturday was super fun with the Summer Fair! Thank you to everyone for making one of the most difficult decisions, made easier.

We, that is my husband and myself, visited my step-mum at Mallard Court yesterday, 6/8/23 and we were very pleased with the whole setup, the staff were friendly, welcoming and helpful. We enjoyed our visit with her spending time in the quiet room enjoying a cuppa and chatting with her and a member of staff who put our minds at rest. Thank you so much, we went away feeling confident that she will be cared for unlike the last place she was in that had no safety aspects about it.

Always a pleasant experience to visit Mallard Court. Aways a friendly welcome from residents and staff alike. Super communal and break out areas that can be a comfortable and cosy one to one area or suitable for larger family groups. Plenty of games and activities to keep us occupied when we visit and the activity staff are always on the ball with special dates and birthdays.

Hi just wanted to say an absolutely massive thank you to all the staff at Barchester Mallard Court Care Home for making our friend's birthday so special on Valentine’s Day. We were all very emotional about how much care, love, time and support had been given to ensure his birthday was so special. We love visiting our friend and all our new friends we have come to know. Our friend is having a wonderful and amazing time. Last week he was able to visit war memorials and speak to a fellow engineer at a local garage, then fish and chips, all with some of his new friends. Thank you so much for caring for our friend and for reassuring us that he is always safe, we no longer worry about his safety. Thanks.

My father received both dementia and palliative care for the last four months of his life. During this period all the staff, particularly those of Memory lane (dementia care), provided thoughtful and caring support to both my father and my family. I would have no hesitation in recommending this care home. This care home is a credit to the industry and the staff, many of them very young restores your faith in humans. Thank you all.

My mum is currently staying in Mallard Court and I have to say the staff and management are a credit to the care sector. The manager could not be more welcoming and even went over and above to help us secure a place for Mum.

I and my family feel so lucky to know my mum is being looked after in a safe and friendly environment. Would highly recommend Mallard Court to anyone.

My elderly mother (99-years-old) went to Mallard Court early in December for 3 weeks respite. However, after 2 weeks she became even frailer and died. The care and attention she received was absolutely fantastic. The staff from management to the entertainment officer could not be faulted. I already knew that the home was good but not that good. If you have any doubts about one of your loved ones staying in Mallard you need not worry. To be quite frank, she was looked after so well I was glad that she was not in busy, overcrowded hospital. Well done to all at Mallard Court.

My beloved mother passed away in Mallard Court Care Home last week. She had been there for respite care for just over two weeks. All the staff without exception were kind, caring, friendly, cheerful and helpful in every way to my late mother and us, her family. I cannot praise the carers highly enough for what can only be described as the love with which Mum was treated. If we had paid a million pounds we could not have found better, kinder or more loving care for Mum. Any problems we had with obtaining essential medication for Mum were dealt with by Mallard Court staff with the utmost speed and courtesy. The professionalism of each and every staff member is a shining light of perfection for which I shall always be grateful. Thank you, everyone at Mallard Court Care Home, for what you have done for my mother in her time of need. God bless you all.

My sister went into Barchester Mallard Court Care Home, Bridlington in February. She was poorly and confused. She is leaving shortly a different woman, the best she's been for years. This is no mean feat. It has been achieved with the best of care on all levels.
Without exception, all members of staff have treated her with the utmost respect, kindness and concern. I cannot praise them highly enough.

My sister has enjoyed her time at Barchester Mallard Court Care Home, made some new friends and been made to feel a valued member of the care home, care being the best word. I would highly recommend this home.

I cannot praise Barchester Mallard Court Care Home highly enough. During the very short time my late husband was receiving palliative care he was looked after by all staff members, nursing, the care team and the kitchen with respect and kindness. His dignity and well-being were clearly at the forefront of Mallard Court's philosophy and practice. The manager and the management team demonstrated great professionalism, sympathy and compassion. I would not hesitate to recommend Mallard Court to anyone who needs to place a loved one in their care.

I feel well satisfied with the care and attention given to my father who will be 95 at Christmas. The staff are superb, helpful and jolly. A good feeling is experienced whenever I attended to see my dad. Prior to his arrival in January 2020, I checked out other homes in the area, the Bridlington Barchester is above all others.

My sister settled into Mallard Court as her new home. From an early video link, she obviously related well to members of staff and was relaxed with them. Later, visits confirmed her good relationship with staff. One clear observation was that physically she had improved significantly particularly through her increased weight and her general appearance. Please note I am not able to complete many of the ratings due to Covid, I have never been in Mallard Court.

It has been such a difficult time for us, and all the staff at Mallard Court during the pandemic. They have kept us updated on restrictions and taken many safety/health precautions. We all want the best for our loved ones, especially later in life and I am grateful to Mallard Court for providing the best care possible for my mother in her later years. I did have doubts about placing my mother in a care home as she had always been very independent but the time came when the decision had to be made. Since being in Mallard Court my mother has thrived and I have seen vast improvements in both her physical and emotional well being. In fact, I have not seen her so happy in a very long time. This is due to the caring environment and dedication provided by the home and the people that work there. Communication with and from the home has been first class and I am kept up to date with all events. I simply cannot thank them enough.

My wife was admitted on the 18th March 2020 initially for 2 weeks respite. The government then issued a total lockdown on the 23 March 2020 which meant she herself like thousands of others were in locked in the care home. In this time she has deteriorated which because of her dementia problem was bound to happen. I ring every day to ask about her, the staff I find are very caring and tell me all about her daily activities from which I find comfort knowing she is cared for. To add she is in the right place, but the wrong time.
