Hi, my name is Ange and I am the General Manager here at Mallard Court Care Home. Welcome to our carehome.co.uk page.
Thank you for taking the time to look further into what we have to offer to you or your loved one. Here is an opportunity to look at some of our staff team in the home, who all play a vital role in day-to-day life.
I started my career in care as a volunteer in day centres for adults with learning disabilities. I have looked after people with learning disabilities who lived with me in my own home and also provided respite for children with learning disabilities as well.
I moved over to Bridlington from Bradford over a number of years ago and applied for the position as a carer at Mallard Court. I was promoted to senior carer and eventually to the position of Care Practitioner before progressing to Unit Manager.
I work with a dedicated and supportive team who aim to achieve the best for the home. I look forward to welcoming you to our home.
Amy has worked in care since she was 19 years old and has been employed at Mallard Court for several years. Amy held the position of Senior Carer NVQ Level 3 and has now been promoted to Unit Manager on our Memory Lane.
Hi, my name is Steve, and I have been a Lifestyle Coordinator at Mallard Court since 2006, and have achieved the NAPA (National Association of Activity Providers) Level 2 Award in Activity Provision in the Care Sector.
We provide a wide range of activities for the people we support, as well as for their families and friends. I also love to have one-to-one chats with residents who like to reminisce about their lives over a cup of tea and some biscuits.
We have our own minibus and have fun days out sightseeing, having a picnic or going to a local pub for a drink and a meal. We also arrange for local artists to provide musical entertainment for everyone at Mallard Court.
Patricia has been a resident at the home since Autumn 2024 and is incredibly proud to be our resident ambassador.
Patricia lived in Leicester and moved to Mallard Court to be closer to her daughter in Bridlington.
She speaks affectionately of the home saying how "everyone has always been kind and from the first time entering the home I've been made to feel welcome. I've made so many friends with the my fellow residents and the staff who work here and I love the activities."
"I've always wanted to live by the sea and now here I am in Bridlington!"
Patricia loved to crochet and knit, taking part in exercise classes and she enjoys the virtual travel activities. in particular those based in other countries.
She is a proud Leicester City supporter and was a season ticket holder. Patrician and her husband were keen bowls players.
