Excellent caring staff. First class and friendly staff.
Have a lovely day.
In my experience, the home appears well run, clean, and the staff are caring and professional. On entering the home you are welcomed and politely reminded to sign in and out. The grounds are beautiful and an added bonus in warmer months; in addition, the secure courtyard provides a pretty, safe, outdoor space to sit or walk. My brother is well-cared for and always appears happy. He is engaged every day in a variety of activities, which I follow on social media; the photos and videos are a brilliant way for a sister living a fair distance away to keep in touch. I would like to thank all the staff for your kindness and hard work.
Thank you so much for taking the time to leave this lovely review! Ensuring a safe and welcoming environment for our residents is our top priority. We're thrilled to hear that your brother is happy and engaged in our activities. We truly appreciate your support and kind words towards our dedicated staff. It means the world to us.

My mother has been a resident there for a couple of months now and from day 1, the staff made every effort to make her feel welcome and settled.
She had lost a lot of confidence after spending time in various hospitals but since arriving at Bilton Hall, is now regaining her confidence and is integrating into social activities again.
Thank you very much for taking the time and trouble to write a review for Bilton Hall. Your comments regarding the team are very much appreciated. They are skilled and dedicated to all residents and I am so pleased to see that you are able to give such positive feedback around improvement you have seen in your mother, since moving to the home. Kind regards
Mum came to Bilton Hall Nursing Home as a palliative/end of life care. She was cared for extremely well. The chef checked what food she liked and consistenly; the maintenance team checked the safety, the cleaner made sure of sanitising and cleaned; the nurses/assistants all ensured Mum was comfortable and ensured personal care completed and appropriate medication; laundry was done regularly; admin was taken great care. Lovely garden - well kept. Always able to make Mum "hot chocolate" as often as required. All the staff were happy and lovely.
Thank you very much for your kind review, which compliments all departments in the home. This is so much appreciated. All of the team work so hard to ensure that our residents are safe well and happy. Kind regards
I pop in to Bilton Hall Nursing Home to chat to staff & residents, I am greeted with such warmth & kindness. I help calling bingo on a Friday. I bake cakes for events such as VE day, summer fetes, macmillan coffee morning, Harvest festival.
Thank you very much for your review of Bilton Hall, it is appreciated. Your involvement with the home is also very much appreciated, thank you for the time you invest in enhancing the daily lives of our residents. Thanks especially for the cakes!! Kind regards
My mother Dorothy, became a resident early June 2025, and from the outset, and indeed before to her move there, the process of assessing her needs was thorough comprehensive and deft.
Prior to her residency a number of rooms were considered and professionals met and decided that the room which she was allocated would meet her needs, and their judgement was sound.
From day one staff have been without exception approachable, caring, friendly and professional. Unlike many institutions staffing at night and weekends is excellent . And staff members are consistent and there are not replaced during those hours by part-time staff agency staff .
In August, for five days my mother was admitted to hospital and staff at the nursing home contacted me immediately - even before the ambulance had arrived at Bilton Nursing Home.
They kept in touch and liaised with the Hospital.
Thank you for taking the time to review Bilton Hall so highly. We appreciate all comments and feedback and are thrilled that we have been able to meet and even exceed your expectations for your Mothers care. We are glad that she has settled in well with us and the team will be delighted to hear your kind words of recommendation. Thank you and have a lovely day.
A very kind & caring staff. Nothing too much trouble. Beautiful surroundings and a magnificent old house that still has kept it's authenticity.
Thank you very much for your review, it is appreciated. It is wonderful that you have recognised our 'kind and caring staff' who work so hard to ensure that all residents have the very best care. Kind regards
Bilton Hall was suggested by the Harrogate Hospital discharge team as an alternative. Not being familiar with it, I called to arrange a viewing and as I was working and unable to get there during my working hours, the Administrator agreed to meet me after her day should have ended which was very much appreciated at short notice.
Once installed, my neighbour settled well, which was a huge relief. At Bilton Hall, he is always treated with respect, patience and kindness by all, right from the domestic staff, up to (and including) the most highly qualified of the Bilton Hall team.
I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Bilton Hall to anyone who is in need of the services they provide.
(No experience of the activities offered as he is unable to participate)
Many thanks for your complimentary review of Bilton Hall. It is so good to know that your experience of finding a care home was so positive. The team work so hard to ensure that our residents are safe, well and settled and it is a testament to their care and support that you are able to provide such a wonderful recommendation and ratings. Kind regards
The day before he was discharged we were able to take his belongings over to set up his room, so that when he moved there were some familiar bits and pieces around.
Straight away the staff made us feel at ease - it was heartwarming to see how much patience and love they had for their residents.
The day after Dad was discharged I went to visit. On entering his room he was chatting to two male nurses about football. They were laughing and joking and this was the first time in a while I had seen my Dad sociable. He was happy - settled - and more importantly, safe. He told me he was living in a 10* hotel. This affirmation was so important to our family. Dad's illness was complicated and passed away the next day, peacefully.
First of all may we give our heartfelt condolences to you and your family for the loss of your much loved father. To know that our home team was able to provide quality care and support at such a critical time makes us so proud of their skill and dedication to residents. Thank you for sharing your...
The wider management team have also been good with her and have stopped to say hello on several occasions.
The food is well presented and spoken highly of.
Thank you for the lovely review of Bilton Hall. We are delighted to know that you are happy with the services we are able to provide your loved one. We are thrilled your mum is settling in well with us. The Team will be so pleased to hear your words of recommendation. Have a wonderful day.
However I don't know why I was sent there in the first place! I do not have dementia!! Everything is geared up for dementia, so I did not join in with the activities after the 1st week. The only people I had any proper conversations with were residents visitors. I spent a lot of time on my own in my room watching tv or reading. Food was let down by not being warm enough.
Thank you for taking the time to review Bilton Hall so highly. We appreciate your honest feedback and we are glad you have enjoyed your time in the home. It is unfortunate that you were not able to join in with the activities, we will be sure to look into providing a more varied range of things to do. Thank you for your review and honesty, have a lovely day.
My experience of Bilton Hall is that my husband is being cared for by staff who really care for him. They treat him with kindness and respect. They look after both his physical and mental health needs. Bilton Hall extend their care to his family, making us feel very welcome, valued and less stressed. His room is well furnished and light and airy. The outside environment is attractive and safe and easily accessable to residents who are accompanied by family, friends or carers. The meals are well cooked plentiful and nicely presented.
Thank you very much for your wonderful comments on the team and the care they provide. Your feedback is valuable and will do much to assist those who are looking for care for a loved one. Kind regards
My mum has been a resident for the last 5 months. The care has been first class. I am always informed if anything happens with my Mum. The communication between the home/GP/and family is good. Facilities are first class.
Thank you so much for your wonderful 5 star review, it is so appreciated. Kind regards.
From day one, my mother (and family) have been very happy with the support provided at Bilton Hall Nursing Home. Lots of smiling faces from the staff who show great professional care and kindness in what is a difficult time for my mother and my family. I would not hesitate to recommend Bilton Hall to anyone. Keep up the great work!
Thank you for your wonderful review and recommendation, that means a lot. Kind regards.
