The staff are so kind, thoughtful, welcoming and helpful.
My husband often says so too and agrees with my ratings.

Any meals I have had there have been excellent.

I visit my friend on a regular interval for over 6 months. I worked with her nearly 50 years ago and have kept in touch since and regularly visit her in Ashfield Court.

She is always pleased to see us - me and my wife- and she is always neat and tidy and looks settled and content. The staff we have talked to seem very friendly and helpful and my friend is always in a positive except when she is tired because we vary our times of visiting.

My mother spent the final three weeks of her life in Ashfield Court. Every member of staff we came into contact with was friendly and courteous and they treated mum with great respect. We couldn't have asked for better care.

My sister's care continues to be professional, consistent and compassionate. The staff are friendly, happy and hardworking. Ashfield Court is always welcoming, bright and airy. It is kept clean and tidy - there is almost a sense of a hotel. I believe that they work well as a team and management support and care for their staff. Which is reflected in how the residents are cared for and the general running of the home.

My father has been a resident here for the last three months and is terminally ill. Although he is not able to leave his room he is superbly looked after by friendly, caring and compassionate staff. He loves his room and feels safe and cared for. I am extremely impressed by the staff the cleanliness and how you are encouraged to visit any time of the day or night and the willingness to accommodate the wishes of residents and their families.

My father was taken into Ashfield Court for the last few weeks of his life. Obviously, this is a very difficult time and a very difficult decision wanting him to feel cared for and as comfortable as possible wanting him to do the very best we could for him.

From the moment he arrived at Ashfield Court all my worries about his care had I made the right decision disappeared. Dad was instantly taken care of with kindness and compassion. He was always clean and I know he felt safe.

Ashfield Court has provided excellent care and no fault could be found. Preliminary information and assessment was thorough and the home was very flexible in arrangements. Ashfield is thoroughly clean, well maintained and equipped. All staff were remarkably friendly, kind, helpful and cheerful, with good teamwork. The overall impression was of a caring family, with appropriate stimulation through physical and verbal activities. The staff encouraged visits from friends and family of all ages and were mindful of personal wishes and respectful to residents. Very well done.

I chose Ashfield Court for my friend from among the many I saw and visited in Harrogate. I have not been disappointed. My friend did not want to leave her own home so the transition was difficult. She is still not fully 100% happy but that is her not the home. The staff do all they can to help her, she is well looked after; she is clean - her clothes are clean; her room is clean and she is well fed. There are numerous activities but she chooses not to take part - which is a great shame. I feel I could not have chosen better for her.

My mother has been resident for the past three weeks for nursing care. She is 88 and has pancreatic and liver cancer. She loved the home and her room form the beginning and the staff have been exceptional, from all the domestic staff, nurses and administration and management. They even counsel my family who have been quite distraught about my mothers diagnosis. Honestly, I have never met a more helpful, friendly and compassionate set of people in my life. Word of mouth and a visit was all it needed for my mother and I to choose Ashfield Court thank you.

Les Marshall
Les MarshallJob Title:Care Home ManagerJoined: 2011

Hello, I am Les your Home Manager at Ashfield Court.

I qualified as a Registered General Nurse (RGN) in 1997 after volunteering on a hospital ward and realised my passion for care.

I came to Rosedale in 2011 as a nurse and worked my way to a deputy position at the home becoming Deputy Manager in 2014 and then Manager in August 2019.

Les believe the most important aspect of a happy care home is ensuring that his residents and staff are happy and well looked after. By supporting the staff at the home and ensuring they are getting the best out of what they are doing and achieving their goals makes Ashfield Court the wonderful home it is.

We are one big happy family at Ashfield Court.
