My mother Anne, came here on the 21st June 2021. She, myself and my sister were met with a warm welcome. Even though she only had a short stay here, she was given great care by all the staff and dignity and care during her last few days. Thank you to everyone who gave such great care to my Mum.
My mother was only here for a short time, but the care she was given was extremely good. All the staff were helpful and attentive. Even when she was in her last hours, she was treated with kindness and consideration. Thank you so much for making her last days comfortable.
Mum has just spent a short period of respite and as with previous stays she really enjoyed it. Staff remain unchanged and cheerful as ever. They always make you feel welcome. The home is spotless and the chefs make lovely fresh food. An excellent care home.
This home lives up to its "Kind Care" statement, in my experience, their care for my mum was the kindest possible. They are friendly and helpful and nothing was too much trouble. They helped my mum to use the phone to keep in contact with us when we were not allowed to visit due to COVID. When my mum needed us most at the end of her life they made it possible for us to be there, for us that was great kindness at such a difficult time.
perhaps if she had responded better to your care and eaten something and drunk something instead of refusing she may have still been with us. but who knows what went on in her mind. I think she'd given up and just wanted to be back with her husband, my dad. But she is at peace now and thank you all once again for everything you did for her.
With thanks for all your hard work.
Always friendly and helpful. Keep my mum safe and happy, clean and tidy. My mum always says how much she loves the place and the staff.
I cannot praise Grosvenor House enough! from my very first visit trying to find the right nursing home for mum. (I visited 9 others in the town) when I was welcomed with the understanding of care and empathy and warm professionalism through to now and 6 months later I cannot fault the team and the facilities but most of all the feeling of everyone being looked after with care attention and dignity. Thank you so much.
My aunt was only in Grosvenor House for the final three weeks of her life, but we believe that she received the best possible care in very difficult circumstances. The staff we met were wonderful.
I have been treated with respect and have been happy.
I was impressed with Grosvenor House from the beginning. Whenever I visit I always feel welcome by the staff and have become quite friendly with them, often joining in on social afternoons. My wife always looks quite smart and well cared for and I think the staff is very kind to her.
Taken great efforts during difficult times to keep the home disease-free.
Dad was only in the home for a short time until he passed away. He was made to feel welcome from the moment he came through the door. All the staff took the time to get to know his likes and dislikes and made him feel like family. As dad came to the end of his life, he was cared for with such amazing compassion and kindness, and we were supported as well. We are eternally grateful to each and every member of staff and would whole-heartedly recommend Grosvenor House to anyone.
My mother was recently admitted into Grosvenor House Care Home, although it was only for a short period of time I feel the care she received during this time was exceptional. The staff at Grosvenor House were very compassionate and helpful each time we visited, which was at the final moments of my mother's life. I couldn't have chosen a better place for her to be. My mother did stay previously in June 2018 and said she loved it here.
Every care was taken to keep me isolated and safe. Carers were very helpful and cheery to keep my spirits up. The food was excellent with plenty of choices. Lovely rooms to relax in with lots of games etc. to keep one occupied.
My mum was in the care home for approximately five years. Any issues we had during the first part of Mum's stay were addressed in the main by the manager, nursing and care staff. With Mum mostly confined to the bed during the last year or so, the family appreciated the genuinely caring attitude show by staff and the dignity in which she was treated at the end.
Helpful staff and always friendly.
Good care.
We came to visit a family member recently living here. The welcome was excellent, and the care for my mum and her twin sister was excellent. We were really assured that aunty and mum's sister were being looked after well here at Grosvenor House Care Home. Thank you.
Very impressed by this excellent nursing home.
The treatment my brother had here was brilliant, couldn't have asked for more. Staff so very caring in every way.
