The nurses show great compassion and are very aware of the dignity and respect which my fragile uncle needs. I have also received help and support from all the staff in the last stages of my uncle's life.
They always have time for a few words and always seem pleased to see me.
My mother had been a resident in Grosvenor House for many years. She truly considered it to be her home until she died in February. She was cared for with dignity and compassion by all the staff, for which the family are so grateful.
The home is very friendly and well run. Staff are always helpful and accommodating. Since mother came to stay she has become much happier and converses much better than she has done for a long time. She has been very poorly and depressed but a lot more positive. The home identified a number of issues with mothers medication and also sorted out her leaving and arranged for a perm. Overall very satisfied.
Having had experience of two previous care/nursing homes, prior to moving my father into Grosvenor House Care Home., I was particularly impressed with everything about Grosvenor House Care Home. The garden suite was akin to a top quality hotel room and the wet room was ideal. The food was excellent. In my father's previous care home, I thought the room and the food was pretty good, but Grosvenor House Care Home has been far superior. The management is excellent and the care workers and all the staff have been really wonderful. When my time comes, I'll be going back.
I have visited Grosvenor House numerous times over a lot of years. The home is always spotlessly clean and well looked after. The staff are caring and friendly. All the residents are happy and well cared for. I have spoken to many of them and they all speak highly of the care they receive. There are a lot of activities which keep the residents occupied and interested.
Since my Uncle arrived, we have been welcomed as a whole family. His care is fantastic and we have seen great improvements in his well-being and reductions in his stress levels. Prior to moving into residential care, he had many falls which caused great distress. Since his move, he has had none and is much happier. The whole staff team have taken the time to assist us and get to know us all and are a great credit to your organisation.
After searching around following meetings with various authorities my daughter and I selected Grosvenor House Care Home. Make no mistake at the first viewing, it appeared, and was excellent in every department and following my wife's first week here can find no fault in its operation or its efficient staff.
My mother was only in the home a short time before sadly passing but at that time she was cared for by a wonderful team of staff. They made me very welcome at all times. Mums room was spacious and always very clean. I just wish mum had lived longer to appreciate it.
I was very impressed at Grosvenor House Care Home on my visit. The staff were very helpful with beautiful decor and cleanliness. The residents look well looked after and happy. The outdoor space is also a bonus for the residents to enjoy the fresh air. It's nice to find out they have a minibus and enjoy lovely outings. The manager seems a very nice lady as well as the nursing staff.
My son arranged for my stay as I needed nursing support and care aid. I have been most impressed with the staff and attention to detail.
Mum's transitioned from the hospital to Grosvenor House was very smooth. I felt she was made very welcome and all the staff have played their part in helping her to settle in.
I am very happy and satisfied with the excellent care and attention given to my mum. I appreciate the social activities which can include her and the attention given to organising theses events. All of the staff are very much appreciated for the amount of work they do and their friendly and efficient manner.
This is the third establishment my aunt has been in and I can say it is the best! The home is warm and welcoming. I appreciate that I am always kept informed and included in the planning of my aunts care. My aunt is always clean and well dressed with no sign of soiled clothes/underwear. There are plenty of staff that are happy to help. There are always activities should you want to join in.
Exceptional caring staff, friendly and welcoming. Facilities excellent since the refurbishment.
Knowing dad is clean, comfortable, well fed and cared for in a homely, friendly home has taken so much pressure off myself and family. Someone visits each day and the calm atmosphere is always pleasant. I always thought all care homes smelt but not this one. The staff are approachable and always take time to talk. Although dad would prefer to be in his own home this home is the best option and he has settled well.
As soon as I stepped through the door of this nursing home I know I would be happy for mum to come here. I called here (without an appointment) but was immediately welcomed and given a tour of the home. The residents appear to be happy and well cared for and the staff very friendly and welcoming. There is a good choice of activities and outings through each month and if you need anything, the staff are very quickly to oblige. Unfortunately when my mum arrived at this home, we were looking for end of life care. As her daughter this is a very emotional and distressing time, but the staff have welcomed us both with open arms and helped and cared this very difficult time. I know my mum in in the right place.
Although my mum has only been in this home a short while the change in her has been amazing she looks and feels a lot better in herself. All the staff are very attentive towards her and understanding while also encouraging her when need be, to be involved and participate in everyday living activities, and this shows in mums personality that she is very happy.
I cannot put into words the service my mum receives at Grosvenor House the staff, facilities are extremely good. The events the home lay on are incredible, no occasion is missed. They cannot do enough for the residents. The group activities range from low key upwards. The care my disabled brother (comes to visit) I just as good. Nothing is too much for the staff here and I have no worries at all for my mums care. I know she is content and happy here.
We have been visiting Grosvenor House Care Home in Harrogate for a while and always found the staff extremely helpful from the management down, always friendly and nothing was too much trouble. Our friend said the food was always good and well presented. Grosvenor House is one of the best homes I have visited.
