Welcome to Rosedale.

Located in the historical village of Catterick, 3 miles south of Richmond, Rosedale Care and Nursing Home is a historic stone-built detached house which was previously a Vicarage when the garrison town of Richmond Camp was formed in 1914 and renamed Catterick Camp in 1915 before becoming Catterick Garrison in 1973. The camp had 6 – 7 churches and the Vicarage was built as a home for the Archpriest of Catterick Camp.

The home was first opened as a retirement home in 1985 and the Hollies wing was added to the home in 1996 and the Lodge was built in 1998. The home was acquired by Maria Mallaband Care Group in July 2005. The home has retained must of the original character including the extensive grounds and woodland including onsite car park and is also accessible on the bus route to Catterick Camp which is 0.4 miles away from the home which is serviced by the X26 and Max X27 bus.

The main house is a two storey building known as the Brambles which houses residential and nursing residents and leads into the Hollies extension where people living with dementia reside. The Lodge is a two storey building for residential residents with outdoor, secure garden patio with raised planters for residents to plant and enjoy flowers all year round.

The coffee shop for the home is located in the Brambles where hot drinks are available for complimentary refreshments along with two lounges and a dining room. The Hollies and Lodge also have a dining room and lounge. All bedrooms are fully furnished and ensuite.

The home has a dedicated lifestyle/activities coordinator on site and residents enjoy activities in and out of the home.

With a 5 star award in Food Hygiene at the home and the belief that food is a huge aspect of care at Rosedale, residents enjoy a cooked breakfast, choice of lunch and dinner meals, supper and hospitality trolley.

The care mum receives on a day to day basis is outstanding. Whenever you go to visit or telephone you are always made welcome. It's just like being at home among friends and nothing is too much trouble.
We don't need to worry about mum as we know she is in extremely safe hands. Would recommend Rosedale
to everyone.

Mum is 90% of the time very happy with all the care and attention she receives at Rosedale Nursing Home as are her 3 daughters.
Only fault is that there is not enough activities, and more so, persons to sit and chat with mum. I appreciate this is nursing care and some clients do have problems engaging
in normal conversation but mum, fortunately, has "all her buttons on" and misses interaction with other people, apart from 1 or 2 people.

My mother entered the home as she needed SMI nursing care. She entered from a care home where she had spent 2 years. Mother needed end of life care.
I found the staff to be supportive of ourselves as a family, dealing with the impending loss of our mother.
My mother was treated with dignity and compassion.
We cannot fault the care provided. Also, the support following her death.
I would highly recommend the home.

The staff nursing care is second to none! From cleaners to the handyman excellent. My daughter and I visited two in this area. The lovely kitchen assistant greeted us. We cane one Sunday on spec with our eyes and noses. Her smile welcomed us. Never forget that day. The nurse on duty warm and welcoming.
My daughter and I hugged her with thanks.

This care home is first class, staff are what makes it so lovely and caring. Rooms could do with a deep clean, but overall first class. Food good overall and lots of choice. My mother has recently suffered some falls, the staff at Rosedale Nursing Home have been really helpful in keeping me informed of her condition and the care provided. They keep in regular contact by telephone with updates and its very reassuring to know that the staff care for the residents in this

My dad is so happy here, the staff (especially the lady who I’ll be sad to see go on maternity leave) are so caring for each and every resident, they treat each patient with the same patience and care that is overwhelming sometimes, I certainly couldn’t do what they do Day in day out minute after minute!
Dementia patients must be hard work but they answer there questions as if it’s the first time they’ve asked,

Today while visiting my aunt I was invited to join her in a St Patricks day celebration. The manager gave an update of what was happening at the home which was very informative. The residents and guests were entertained by two singers and we were all encouraged to sing along whole drinking alcohol-free
cocktails. The whole afternoon was full of fun and very enjoyable. Thank you to all concerned.

On arriving at the care home, I had the most wonderful greeting at the door by a staff member who couldn't be more helpful. During my visit to my friend, I was made to feel very much welcome. I observed staff at work using a very professional manner, yet homely and attentive. It was a pleasure to see

Very welcoming, lots of care on first afternoon for my mother. Staff so helpful, all staff working together to make my mother's transition as easy as possible. Staff also very helpful and supportive to all members of our family. Everything explained well and nothing was any trouble.

I lost my sister on 23rd January and I cannot praise the staff at Rosedale Nursing Home enough. They care so much for their patients and their families. Some of them came to her funeral which I thought was lovely.

Mam was received into Rosedale at the very end of November and it is always an anxious and difficult time for a new resident and family. The staff at Rosedale were excellent in settling Mam into her new environment and in making her feel safe and comfortable. I have been very impressed with the professionalism
and efficiency of all the staff and services in all areas of the home. I am so pleased that we chose Rosedale.
