All staff provide a personal and helpful service. They keep me well informed of any changes in my husband's health, state of mind and medication. They are very attentive, and I am comforted by knowing he is safe and comfortable.

I would just like to say since my mother has been in your care, even though we have had Covid restrictions, the improvement has been amazing, she seems so happy and settled. The home is always beautiful and clean and all the staff are so kind and helpful. Mum is a very sociable person and loves the activities that you do during the daytime as well.

My mother moved into Connaught at the start of January. We had moved from South-East and transferred her, the process was very well managed despite COVID restrictions in place, she settled in well, in fact, the use of an indoor pod for visiting was excellent and welcome departure from visiting in the gazebo in a car park. She eats well and the menu is varied. As restrictions are eased more activities have started, she joins in them all and loves the gardens and the friendly staff.

My mother was admitted to Connaught Court last year, initially for respite care following severe deterioration in her physical and mental health and due to a breakdown in her care at home. She became a permanent resident in December. The difference just in ten months is remarkable. She looks wonderful and her health has improved tremendously. Although retired now, I worked in the private care sector for forty plus years and this is one of the best! Truly totally holistic care and support.

Mum has been in Connaught Court for just over a month. The home is lovely, up-to-date fixtures and furniture, bright and airy and very spacious. The staff are very friendly and helpful, nothing is too much trouble. I have been to visit Mum, and she seems happy and content. She is very well cared for. After making the very difficult decision to transfer Mum to residential care, I am extremely satisfied that she is receiving the best care possible for her dementia. Unable to offer an opinion on Mum's room - haven't seen it due to Covid restrictions.

My mother has been in Connaught Court for 12 months and during this time she has received excellent care.

The staff and carers are beyond helpful. They are sympathetic to my mother's needs and whenever I contact them or visit Mum in the 'Pod' they are always happy and caring, nothing is too much trouble and they do everything they can to make Mum comfortable. The reception staff are always cheerful, friendly and helpful, again nothing is too much trouble. The home is well managed with brilliant staff who care about not only the residents but also their families.

We were so delighted that Connaught Court had space and were able to off Dad a room when he was no longer able to look after himself at home. All the staff have been very cheerful, helpful and friendly when I have spoken to them on the phone. They are professional and have endeavoured to do all that they can to support the residents and families during the past very difficult months, with 'spirit-raising' outdoor concerts and a fireworks display.

I wonder if however, it might be possible to have, say, 2 monthly discussions just to summarise how Dad is doing, the outcome of any chats with the doctor and concerns and how his pain is being managed. Just an overview. Unable to provide ratings for some options as have not been inside the home other than in the visiting room.

I am a full-time, sole carer for our severely disabled daughter. I experienced first-hand the daily pitfalls of maintaining her dignity, security, personality and self-respect whilst dealing with her problems and providing a happy, caring environment. I do this willingly because she is mine and I love her. The staff at Connaught Court provide - as near as possible - the same care and support for my husband because they care about him.

I feel that given the COVID-19 pandemic problems that the RMBI and in particular Connaught Court and its team are providing the best possible care for my father. And now, tellingly they are now explicitly caring for my wellbeing during my shielded visits. That they continue to face personal risk to ensure my father faces as little as possible, is truly inspiring.

My mother moved into Connaught Court in July.
COVID-19 restrictions at the time meant she was unable to visit before the move. The staff were extremely thoughtful and supportive. They responded quickly to any queries or concerns and sent us photos of her room.
My mother settled in quickly and says everyone is kind, caring and cheerful. She enjoys the variety of activities, the good food and the company.
We appreciate all the hard work involved in keeping all the staff and residents safe. The strict safety rules still ensure we have contact with my mother. The visits in the visitor pod, chats on the phone or via Zoom all work well.
Mum receives excellent care from dedicated staff and is safe and happy in Connaught Court.

Thank you all.

This is a really superb Residential and Nursing Home. It has a very friendly and dedicated staff who will really look after all the residents. The accommodation is spacious with long wide flat corridors suitable for walking on with a frame etc. A really good feature are the balconies on each Residential Floor enabling residents to sit and enjoy the outside air in comfort. Guests are welcome to eat with the residents and I think the food is really good and perfect portion sizes. My mother, who used to be an excellent cook feels the food is of a very high quality as well! The Activity coordinators are very engaged and enthusiastic with events organised for every weekday, often morning and afternoon. The current lockdown is managed very professionally and we are being kept up to date with any developments on a regular basis.

No place is perfect. But Connaught Court is probably as near as one could get. The facilities are excellent, as are the staff. In the time that my mother has been there, I have been struck by how kind they are to her. When I visited on one occasion, I found that the washbasin in my mother's en suite had been lowered. There had been no discussion with me, or any changes suggested. The home had just done it automatically because it was easier for my mother to use it lower down. The activities have not been quite as good as when my mother first went there but the home finds staffing that difficult. There is the odd admin hiccup, but nothing major. The place is not cheap but my mother has the assets to pay for it. I don't think that any real place could be any better.

Nobody wants to leave their own home, and nobody wants to have to make the decision that they can no longer care for a loved one. However, if this decision does have to be made, Connaught Court offers so much that is just wonderful. It is excellently managed, it is so welcoming to residents and family; the care staff are outstanding as are those who organise the food, the entertainment and the general care of the home. The most important thing I can say is, thank you, everyone. We were so lucky to find Connaught Court and to have my partner in your fantastic care.

This is particularly important and relevant, at the time of the current crisis.

My dad was a resident at Connaught Court for two months, and we can not praise all the staff enough for the way he was looked after.

They have an amazing team of staff that cared for all the residents with love and compassion at all times, a real home from home for my dad, and for our family too.

My Mum and Dad moved to Connaught Court 3 years ago. It was the best decision they made given my Mums mobility. The place has a very relaxed feel about it. The staff are all caring, polite and energetic. Activities are varied and often with everybody encouraged to participate although a lot of residents are happy to stay in their rooms. The food menu is varied residents can put forward suggestions. Quality of food is not 5 star but then you would not expect that given fees paid and the amount catered for. Overall I doubt you will find a better home from home.

Staff - pleasant, welcoming and patient with the residents.
However, continuity of care could be improved by ensuring information is passed to care staff on duty and there is feedback to family.
Food - repetitive and uninspiring menu. Food is of poor quality with cheap products used. Very little fresh, seasonal vegetables or fruit used, very limited in variety.

Activities - run by enthusiastic staff/ however, a range of creative activities could be extended (eg painting, baking) and regular short trips out arranged. Residents to be more actively encouraged to participate.

Thank you for rating us ‘good’ for the overall standard. We do ensure information is passed to all care staff on duty by daily meetings of all departments. We source meat, fish, fruit and vegetables from local suppliers. We have a four weekly, seasonal menu with a daily choice on offer. Activities...
