Although a care home can never be same as 'home', this one tried hard to provide support and facilities for independent and private living, as well as attractive and well equipped communal areas for optional group activities. From the cups and saucers, small seating areas with access to outside space, concerts in the lounge, services in the chapel, to the friendly staff, this is a quality environment for older people.

From the moment you walk in until the time you walk out, you are filled with admiration for the outstanding quality, dedication and care from the staff at this home. I could not wish for a better home for my mother or any other person to spend their latter years. The Royal Masonic Benevolent Institution do a fabulous job with their dedicated team of staff. Thank you.

The staff are wonderful, compassionate and caring. It has been a big step for my mother to come into a home so I really appreciate how much the staff have done to make her feel that she is at home. The facilities are good and I am always made to feel welcome.

Over the 3 occasions my mother has been into Connaught Court the quality, standard and attention to detail of her care, needs and daily well being has been consistently good. I am aware of her daily needs increasing now and over the forthcoming future and know the only option of her care, other than 24/7 at home with me, is in safe hands so I have peace of mind in the secure knowledge she is being looked after well in Connaught Court.

Compared to other places of which I have experience, Connaught Court is outstanding. The facilities are far better than the fees we pay would afford. The standard of the staff is of very high quality, a tribute to the level of recruitment and training. Age 98.

After being here for nearly 4 months, I am still impressed by standards of care, friendliness, professional, polite responses from all the staff I have met. The gardens have been well landscaped, lots of colour and large, old lovely trees. Some areas, sadly not weed free, but difficult to maintain by one gardener. The staff are well trained in dementia care, working to a set routine with dignity and cheerfulness and a friendly disposition to each other, though at times the workload means that wheelchair dependent residents have to wait to be attended to. I am kept informed/included, details of care for my husband. The large lounge is beautifully furnished, comfortable chairs, piano/bar/film equipment a central point for large or small events. The chapel is used for services a good thing to have.

As my previous remarks the home (staff, care, food, facilities) are absolutely fantastic!

The main trouble is I simply can't get used to being "waited upon!"

I have had an excellent 2-week break at Connaught Court and could not have asked for better service. Being one of the more active guests I could have hoped for more activities but otherwise, the facilities were top class.

The calm atmosphere, cheery friendly welcome into a very well appointed home was so reassuring. The facilities are so much more than we expected and the diary of weekly events cover a wide range of interests.
There are quiet areas, a large lounge with stage! And airy dining room which are excellently furnished.

I, as wife of service user, have been treated with patience and kindness at this difficult time of my husband having onset of vascular dementia. I am impressed with the patience and friendliness of all staff.
