The care home is always clean and presentable. There isn't a smell of urine when you enter, unlike some care homes I have visited.
The staff are very caring, friendly and professional. The staff appear to be happy in their jobs and this shows in the quality of care they give to the residents.
My aunt was very anxious about going into a care home. However the friendly caring staff have made my aunt very happy to be in their care.
They have a variety of activities during the week and my aunt has enjoyed many of the activities on offer.
There is always someone to answer questions or queries when I need them.

I would highly recommend this care home to anyone looking for a safe, comfortable and happy place for their relative

Excellent all round. Anxious about her move from another care home to Pavilion Court, was soon put to rest though. The staff are amazing- always happy, welcoming, and nothing is too much bother. We can relax at last knowing she is safe and well cared for. Her room is bright and homely with her own things around her, which brings her comfort. Well done Pavilion Court.

This is a pleasing and friendly place where staff really care for the clients. Activities are provided regularly but my brother-in-law does not participate often. Nursing care is provided tenderly and relatives are kept up to date with issues. Rooms are basic but usually kept clean. Meals are an issue: chips nearly every day and either overcooked or beige food is served at every meal. A 1cm slice of Swiss roll is supposedly acceptable as a dessert!! Meals let this home down.

Overall Experience
I have visited Pavilion court over the last three years, to see a church member of Trinity church Gosforth.
As a retired senior nurse in Palliative and end of life care, I was always aware of how clean, spacious and airy Pavilion court appeared.
My friend always looked as if her personal hygiene needs had been met and that she had been cared for in a dignified manner. She appeared settled and comfortable.
The staff were always welcoming. On my last visit I was informed that my friend had died and the staff supported me as this news had come as a shock . They spoke to the son and received his permission to share his contact details with the church so we could support him and his family in their loss. Her name will also be written in our book of remembrance.

As a visitor for the church I visit several homes in the Newcastle area. I am often asked to recommend a home to friends who are searching for a home for their parents. I have no hesitation in recommending Pavilion court.

Excellent leadership ensured that Pavilion Court is well-managed and maintained. Staff are very friendly and helpful. Turnover is low, therefore staff get to know the people they look after very well, so they are able to provide for all their needs. Varied activities are provided and there is often a guest singer, which residents really enjoy. Communal areas are clean and comfortable and family can visit at any time they wish. I visit the home at different times, and my mam is always clean, well-dressed and well cared for. An excellent facility with staff who understand very well how to look after dementia patients.

Overall a good care home. Residents are well cared for and treated well. All staff and management are friendly and helpful. They keep me informed on the well-being of my mother and I have found them very approachable. They encourage the residents to join in with activities of which there are loads.

The staff all understand my mum and her care needs, they are friendly and respect her as an individual. She is safe and well cared for and has managed to articulate this herself to outside agencies. The manager is always happy to talk over any concerns and acts upon them quickly and professionally. The activities co-ordinator works hard to provide activities that have something for everyone, even those who don't want to join in with a group. Thank you all for caring.

Can't complain about George's care.

Staff are always lovely with him and treat him with care. When I leave him I know he is left in good hands and makes me feel better. And George never has complained about anything and has been in here nearly a year. Thank you for all you do.

Overall Experience
We had a relative who was a resident here. The feel from the initial walk around was good.
There had been several small teething problems late last year which had escalated to a complaint along with me wanting my relative moved into a new home.
The home manager, had arranged a meeting along with the regional manager to investigate all issues we had- we were honestly impressed!
After the meeting, all issues were investigated and dealt with very swiftly, along with regular communication. We didn't have one issue since & our relative was happy and content here. All staff were approachable.
Unfortunately we lost our relative in April, On his final exit from Pavilion, All present staff were very respectful which didn't go unnoticed.
We feel that receiving a good service is great but receiving outstanding service & support from a home manager who really cares is another.

Thank you to the manager, you are a huge credit

I would like to commend the management at Pavilion Court. I think its important to have a good management at the top, it gives me confidence knowing the home is being run well. From my experience I find the manager very approachable and if I have voiced any concerns I feel they do listen to what you say and where possible it has been resolved fairly quickly. I can also see they are really trying to improve areas around the home where it is most needed.

Mums care has been exemplary. She is always clean, well presented and staff have a really good relationship with her. Her room is comfortable and every care has been taken to meet her needs, bed position, windows, brightness. I have always found staff very approachable when I have questions and they are always very understanding and caring. I have visited at various times and really like the open door policy, and have always found the residence clean and cheerful. Management have been helpful and accessible which is always useful in some stressful situations.

My father has been in Pavilion Court for six weeks, discharged from hospital. All the care staff look after Dad well, they're very kind and although they're very busy give us assistance when we ask. They communicate with me all the time, keeping me informed of any issues with Dad or if they have any concerns. I am very happy with Dad's care and feel he is safe here.
