The care and respect everyone has given my dad is wonderful. My dad was in a previous care home which didn't deserve the title.

Falstone Manor is wonderful in every way. Fabulous staff.

Falstone Manor is now home to my husband. The care from the staff is very good. As a family, we cannot find fault with the care workers; nothing is too much trouble. All the staff do their very best to help everyone. It's like belonging to a lovely, large family.

My mam has lived at Falstone Manor for four years now, and is very poorly with a very short time left. It's been very upsetting today as she's been agitated and in a lot of pain.
The two nurses and all care staff today have done their utmost to help her ,and us ,and have formulated a plan to go forward with.
I feel safe because of them, they have truly behaved as if mam was their own family.
I have also been supported fully above and beyond by the home management.
As a retired nurse ,it's good to know our old values are still important in the modern care sector.

Thank you

Love this care home they have done wonders with my brother. He's happy and joins in whatever's going on. The staff are really lovely.

There is always something going on to keep everyone entertained. The food on the menu is varied and the teas, coffee and cake always brings a smile in between meals.

My wife has resided at Falstone Manor for 12 months now, and during that time, she has settled well into the community of residents. She is relaxed and participates readily in the activities provided by the care team, with whom she has established affectionate relationships.

My stepdad has been in Falstone Manor since October 2024 in the nursing unit. The staff have been wonderful with him, so caring and he has settled well. He says all the staff are lovely and can't fault them. He has had 2 emergency situations where the nurses reacted quickly and got him to hospital with good results. We have peace of mind that he is well looked after and know any issues the staff will ring us straight away. Can't thank them enough.

My son and I had a wonderful 3 course Christmas dinner with my husband and dad. Everything was served pleasantly and we were ready for it. The dining room was beautifully decorated. The atmosphere was joyful with Christmas songs in the background. Well done.

I looked at 4 nursing homes for my elderly mother before deciding on Falstone Manor. One of the reasons I chose Falstone was its proximity to Roker Park and Roker seafront. The nursing home is always spotlessly clean and is run by pleasant, dedicated and caring staff, and is a credit to all who work there.

My mother was a resident at Falstone Manor for two and a half years. During that time she was always treated with dignity and respect, and as her health deteriorated, with great care. All the staff without exception were professional, caring and friendly. Her room and communal areas were always spotlessly clean. I would certainly recommend Falstone Manor to anyone.

The staff are the most important people in any care home and on the floor Mum was on at Falstone Manor, I could not have asked for better. It was a sigh of relief to realise within just days of Mum being at Falstone that the staff were professional, empathetic, and all-round genuinely nice people. Most of the staff were from the northeast and were able to chat with Mum about places she knew and where she had grown up - I think this is invaluable, and much overlooked/ underestimated in other care homes. One of the staff who was not from the area was educating herself about Sunderland so that she was able to chat with the residents. I thought this was a wonderful thing to do. The staff were also a godsend for me, as they were able to communicate clearly and succinctly how Mum was doing and any problems they might be having. I had peace of mind as I knew Mum was in caring hands, but equally important, that kindness and care went alongside many years of experience and knowledge.

From the very first visit, I felt that this place was the right one for my husband. The staff were very welcoming and listened to what I was looking for. They wanted to know all about my husband and were keen to put any ideas or suggestions in place to make things as homely as possible. The staff (ground floor) are excellent. I know they have a tough job but will do whatever they can to make my husband comfortable, listened to and included in whatever is going on. The food is good and the home is clean and always looks well-kept. Also a good selection of people to entertain the clients. I'm really grateful for the care and attention from all the staff for my husband. I certainly can recommend Falstone Manor Home.

Falstone Manor is an excellent nursing home, the staff and facilities are second to none. All my dad's needs are fully catered for, and any requests we make are usually carried out quickly and efficiently. All members of the staff are always friendly, and knowledgeable, it's hard to pick one out in particular, but the nurse always has a smile on her face, always talks to us, and carries out her duties without complaint. Overall, we are very happy with the care that my dad receives at Falstone Manor.
